Locked hands, stiff feet, red burning skin...no answers

Hello!

I've been experiencing an array of symptoms that no doctor can put together into a diagnosis, therefore, no treatment. It started about 8 months ago with some foot stiffness in the night and morning, as well as a feeling of acid when I washed face with water. About 6 months ago, I had a transient (20 minute) rash over mouth and cheeks, which started with a very itchy nose. I stopped all supplements, but it happened again periodically. A few months last, I began to have more stiffness in feet, then hands, then fingers locked (either open or closed) upon waking. After 4-5 hours, I could move fingers, but hurt to put pressure. With pressure, both hands and feet turn red. Pins and needles along with feelings of explosions in hands and feet, as well as tongue and teeth. CBC nml, ANA titer borderline (40), nucleolar pattern, mother tested neg for Sjogrens. FHx of pernicious anemia, but no improvement with B12 injection. No improvement with anti-inflammatories. Slight improvement with high dose vit A, vit D, and Monolaurin as well as squeaky clean diet. Rheumy says "post-viral sequelae" that will resolve in 6-8 weeks. It's been 3 months. Neuro says nothing she's seen with this presentation. Chiro doesn't help. Massage to fingers in morning helps speed up motion, but I'm concerned about a possible diagnosis being skipped. No skin tightening currently (though I noticed some several years ago around my mouth which resolved). Thanks for any insight. I am to go back to work next week after being away for 2 months. No diagnosis, no time off. Please help? I'm a healthy 48 year old female (save slightly low thyroid at one time, EBV, HSV, and perimenopausal) with no health insurance and my savings is running out this week. I'm desperate to find some relief. Thanks much...

Hey Aromalink,
The post-viral sequela your rheumy claims, is a most likely low grade Borrelia or Pathogenic Mycoplasma  or similar  chronic Infection.
It simply does not resolve on its own. Did she verify what the virus was in the first place?
These infections are hard to detect, even for your own immune system.
Take Ewford's advice and join the Lyme Community.
These infections once dx are curable. Just need to go to the right places
for help, as regular doctors and specialists keep you in the medical merry-go -round  (knowingly or not).
Wish you well.

Come to the Lyme community.  I think we have some answers for you there.  With your EBV, HSV and possibly other elevated latent viruses, there might be a Lymes/Mycoplasma infection.

Any other weird symptoms that dont make sense?  eyes hurt, headaches, neck cracks, UTI like symptoms, muscle and joint pain, etc?
