Lumps

I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, I have been getting steroid shots every 8 wks for the past 9 months. I started on Plaquinal 400mg daily, 8 weeks ago. I now started having lumps and bumps on my foot. Any ideas why these just showed up?

No they don`t hurt they are on the right side of my right foot, they are red and firm. I have not been able to look any further into thyroid problem as my doctor feels he has done the appropriate test. I see him 2 weeks so I will ask again. I don`t mind paying for them if I thought it would help. I also am only taking 2000u of Vitamin D3 daily.

Foot nodules could be a symptom of RA, which a lot  of the time
(the foot in general)is overlooked by most rheumatologists.
The areas where they develop, are linked to high pressure and stress on
joints, so it could be a result of the body attempting to alleviate this.

Are these nodules painful? Are they hard?
It seems that, these are usually dormant for many years and all of sudden they simply come out w/o any known reason (idiopathic).

Another possibility is plantar fibromas. You can do a search under
"plantar fibroma images" to see if they look alike.

If you're megadosing on D3, make sure you're also taking K2 with it, so the metabolized calcium in your body goes to the bones, joints and teeth and NOT in the soft tissues!
(D3 helps metabolize calcium, K2 helps deliver it to the right places)

And have you rules out low thyroid function? Please ignore, if I already mentioned it to you before.
You need Free T3, Free T4 & Reverse T3 for accurate thyroid testing!
It's very important to ask & insist on these tests.

Have you done any genetic testing surrounding your health issues?
Just a thought.
Now with the advancements in the field of epigenetics, nutrigenetics and nutrigenomics, this is something worthy of serious consideration.

Best wishes.
