Marshall protocoal and antibiotic therapy in general

As I already posted, I don't know what I have. But one doctor suggested the Marshall protocol and warned me that my other doctor may be doing harm by prescribing high doese of vitamin D. On occasion, I get burning on urination and Septra works even though no bacteria shows (history of this but no interstitial cystitis). This doc says I could have an infection for which Marshall protocol would work. He says that all autoimmune diseases are on a spectrum of likely infection. I have a friend with RA for whom antibiotics are helping more than she thinks would be caused merely by anti-inflammatory properties of antibiotics. Is antibiotic therapy helpful if one cannot identify what one has? Is there another vitamin D camp? What is an optimal vitmain D levelfor women? Is MS linked to low vitamin D or leaky gut syndrome? Can you recommend a good clinic in the lower 48 where I can go for a few days for a full work-up? Thank you. I am really scared and can't remember what it feels like not to be...or to feel good.

Hi,

I have been diagnosed with RA and on plaquenil, methrotrexate and Prednisone.
I went to a MP doctor and he gave out blood tests that showed positive antibodies for Parvovirus B19 (IGG), Epstein Barr (IGG) and Herpes Simplex (IGG). Is it worth trying the Marshal protocol. MY ESR is 28 and RF is 108, and I have a lot of pain in the mornings, but subsides a bit in the afternoon

Does anyone have great results from Dr. Fuhrman's Eat To Live diet as it relates to interstitial cystitis? Any luck?

I also have Hashimoto's and I'm having great success in reducing the antibodies and becoming healthier.  IF you do not change your diet you will become diabetic.  Please check out www.drfuhrman.com and get his two books Fasting and Eating for Health and Eat To Live.  Seriously I am changing my life by eating differently.  I won't go down the road of drugs.  I have successfully reduced my thyroid medication as well from 120 to 90 to 60 over the last 3 months.

When looking to heal the body one must look at it like exercise and weight loss( calories in has to = calories out to have your weight stay the same ~~to lose weight you have to burn more than you consume), I think.
The TOXIC load must be reduced and the nutrient load INCREASED for healing to begin.
One of the quickest things you can start right this minute is changing the FOOD you put in the body...ask yourself..does this carry a toxic load for me?  At first MOST of what you are putting in your body will be toxic..unless you've been on this road awhile and know what you should not be eating.  Take it one step at a time.

My understanding of the Marshall protocoal is it uses antibiotics to treat bacteria in the body.  My problem with that is there are bacteria in the body which are necessary for good health and you will be killing them.  There are natural substances such as garlic and various herbs which kill bacteria in the body.  If you take antibiotics you would need some probotics to give you back the good bacteria.  Think FancyPantsandMe has it right when she say the body can heal itself if given the right nutrients.  It will not happen overnight because we have spent many years putting this stuff in our bodies and it will take many years to get it out.  Everyone must devise a plan that works for them because we are all different but the key is getting the vital nutrients which are in fruits and vegetables to allow our bodies to heal.  Hippocrates told people this in ancient times but most of the medical establishment has ignored it.  Nutrition is the key to good health.

I don't know what the Marshall protocol is...but...

As I have changed my lifestyle...and MY FOOD....my body is beginning to heal.
I believe once the body has regained some ground on the health front it is better able to fight infections and get rid of unwanted parasites on its own without adding to the "load" the body is trying to carry.

Take the people who are well.  Their bodies are doing the "cleaning house" on a regular basis.  It's when you begin to have TOO much cleaning to do that the body becomes overwhelmed.  Cleaning up the diet will change your life. Will it take 3 weeks? 3 years? 6 months?  don't know..begin today and see...I see changes already and I've been eating differently for 33 days...no fast food or soda or caffeine for 28 days straight and no animal products for 8 days ( goal is 6 weeks to give the intestinal wall time to heal from leaky gut).  I'm seeing the changes every day.

I am convinced that the food I have been choosing to eat is healing me on a deep cellular level.  The proof for me is in the research I've done on doctors like Dr. Joel Fuhrman M.D. who has had 10 years of clients health stories of reversal of all kind of diseases.  The proof for me is coming every single day that i see changes in my own health.  It IS working...a simple thing like food....I'm so angry at the doctors I've seen over the years...but atlas I was LOOKING IN THE WRONG PLACE!!!  I can no longer expect to heal in a medical professionals care. There are a few M.D.'s that are on the right track in my opinion.

New on this forum.

Please list some safe natural supplemments you used to exterminate pathogens. I have Hoshimotos and have recently thought of pursuing an alternative to the Marshal Protocol. I have nothing to loose only gain. My blood glucose is also rising for no reason to pre-diabetes levels. Since that is also a autoimmune disease I want to get a hold of the possible cause and not just treat the symptoms.

Thank you.

Hi ! I can only tell you that I was on the Marshall Protocol (and then switched to natural formulas which are working just as well for me) --- and I would HIGHLY recommend any pathogen killing treatment for people who have autoimmune diseases.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions and good luck ! I can't even begin to tell you how much better I am now vs. when I first started treatment. Treatment is slow, can make you feel worse.... but the pay off is HUGE.
