Multiple Sclerosis

My name is Holly, I am 20 years old. I still live at home, due to my Father Health.

A few years ago my father was sent to the Emergence Room, due to high blood pressure. It was running 220’s over 110’s. The doctors could not get it to come down. It was a teaching hospital, so the doctor’s offered to run some tests, to see if they could find the cause. They never found the cause of the high blood pressure, but the Doctor said he had MS and in order to diagnose my father he would need to run several more tests. The Doctor also said that if he was able to get these tests done he might live 10 to 15 more years, if not he would probably never see 50, but we don’t have that kind of money and can’t afford insurance so the test have never been done.

My Father is now 48 years old and this last year has been the worst, he can hardly leave his room, much less leave the house or see his grandchildren.

I just don't know what to do, if he is ever going to get better he will have to be treated. But before he can be treated he must be diagnose. Do you know of  any Doctor in Texas that would help my Father for free?

There are some natural techniques to build up the immune system. Ask father to follow these, two or three times a day. Let me know when he can do more than 15 minutes of anulom vilom. Keep coming back with updates. You can also follow the pranayam, so you can experience the benefit and stay well to look after him.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.

Anulom Vilom pranayam –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed  deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 20 to 30  minutes twice a day.
Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.

Bhramri Pranayam -Close eyes. Close little flap of ears with thumb, place  index finger on forehead, and rest three fingers on base of nose touching eyes. Breathe in through nose. And now breathe out through nose while humming like a bee.
Repeat this  5 to 21 times.

Hey Holly,
Welcome to the Forum.
So sorry about your dad's situation.
Please go to the Texas CHAP website for health insurance assistance
and also to national ms society dot org for programs available.
Should your dad get eventually a dx for ms, please post again for suggestions
Blessings to both of you!
