Mystery illness?

My husband started having seizures several months ago. Then he became unable to walk. He has such severe pain that he is on both a very high dose of a Fentanyl patch and a Morphine pump. Then a couple of weeks ago he became unable to breathe on his own and is now on a ventilator and has a feeding tube. The doctors cannot find out what is wrong with him. All they say for sure is that they think that he has some sort of autoimmune disease but so far they have not been able to determine what it is. Any ideas?

Thanks

I',m so sorry for what you are going threw, I have a thing called" Anticardiolipin Antibodies" It makes the blood thick so your brain isn't getting enough blood to the brain and when that happens you have seizures and when you try to walk it is like your legs are getting tighter and tighter, like a vice grib is on your legs, very very painful.

I can't thats what he has yet wouldn't hurt to look into it .

Oh and btw they also you the same test for syphlus(sp) so I'm not saying your hubby has that cause I sure don't , just Anticardiolipid antibodies.

Take Care and may The Lord bless your intire family

Look this up and add other symptoms to your list.

I know that lupus can cause seizures, weakness and joint/muscle pain.  It can affect the lungs too, but I couldn't say for sure it that is what could be affecting his lungs.

This must be very stressful on your whole family.  I am praying for your husband and for you.  So sorry you are going through this.
