Goodafternoon Niko well i'm hypothyroid i take synthroid for it also i have 2 nodules on my thyroid. I'm definetly gonna check into getting some serraptase i've read a little about it seems to be some good stuff. It just seems when you mention the sarcoidosis to the drs either they don't know much about it or just try and brush you off.I've read also about Wegeners Granulomatous i have some symptoms but i really don't think it's that . I was diagnosed 3 yrs ago with a collagen vascular disease really last year was when i've seen the most symptoms back in june i thought i had slept on my neck wrong it was stiff very painful couldn't turn it what so ever without pain so the dr did an mri which revealed cervical spondylosis. At least weekly i wake up with a terrible headache sometimes with nausea and vomiting. My boyfriend was in from Canada for a week felt fine the entire week he left this past sunday monday morning when i woke up felt terrible with swollen glands, face and ears, stiff neck very tense. When talking to him that monday he said he felt like crap but his throat was sore hurt to swallow and neck hurt he went to the dr they said he had a bacterial infection so i'm assuming because he said couple days before he came to see me he noticed a tickle in his throat that he gave it to me. I twas like my body went Crazy trying to fight it off.Hopefully soon i'll finally get a diagnosis thanks for all you do always great hearing from you. Have a wonderful weekend!!!!! ttys

Hi Kelly, I just "lost" my long post to you! lol!
Anyway here's a short version of it.

Your cervical adenitis is the medical term for inflammation/infection of
the lymph nodes in the neck.
Lymphadenopathy includes cervical adenitis, and this would better describe you general condition to my opinion, where cervical adenitis is an acute situation and hopefully will resolve with the bactrim.
You may want to consider high quality probiotics for healthy flora support,
while on this.
Lymphadenopathy is definitely associated with Sarcoidosis, but not an exclusive  association to help make a diagnosis.
It just makes your suspicion a little stronger.
Thyroid issues (1), celiac disease(2) or  gluten intolerance (Note: celiac with delayed sensitivity perhaps, making the connection very difficult to establish when reaction is delayed by 3-4 days) and
Hypervitaminosis D (3), are all common with sarcoidosis.
You may find a comparison of the commonly occurring symptoms in these
3 against your present symptoms, of some value, bringing you closer to confirming your suspicions.

Finally look into Serrapeptase, a powerful Enzyme that among other benefits, Digests non-living tissue, blood clots, cysts, arterial plaque, inflammation, internal scar tissue and may help some external scars particularly if new; any residues are either converted into amino acids or excreted in the normal manner.   It may be great for your suspected
sarcoidosis. It is worth a closer look, to my opinion.

Let me know what your thoughts are on my observations.
I hope you feel better soon!
Blessings,
Niko

Hello Niko thanks again for listening i've been dealing with some new issues as i'm convinced this autoimmune disease or so the drs say a collagen vascular disease is sarcoidosis. This past monday i woke up my face was swollen my lymph nodes behind ears and all the way down sides of my neck were enlarged and very painful. The outside of ear swere bright red and swollen hurt to even touch them but only on the top of ear . Felt miserable stiff neck hurt to turn head or lean forward. So i decided maybe i should get so antibiotics knowing from what i've read that when your glands are swollen very possible due to an infection. Well went to the drs office the onlt test he did was a urine test which i'm assumming was ok he said i had cervical adentitis gave me bactrim 800mg that i take for 10 days. As of now i've taking them for 2 days  hoping that it gets be tter. But brings me back to sarcoidosis i've done my research on it i have the scattered granulomas in right lung upon xray, right paratracheal calcified lymph node, mild inhalation in lungs, chest pain, fatigue, skin rashes especially during the summer months, also red-purple raised spots on upper thighs, some, hearing loss in both ears, headaches just some of my symptoms. S o hard to even get answers because i have no health insurance just going to a state hospital for care. Hope you have a great weekend!!!

The more I read, Kelly, the more I'm convinced you have an underlying low grade infectious condition, difficult to detect with standard tests.
This is gradually becoming a systemic auto-immune type of disease, as the immune system  b/c of immune mimicry -do a search for it- and its inability to find the infectious pathogen ( the pathogen wraps itself in cellular membrane to disguise itself as a normal cell) and tag it for destruction.
This requires ,after a proper dx which seems to be key to  all this, treatment
with specific antibiotics which only have a bacteriostatic action-not bacteriocidal and natural / holistic ways to boost the immune system, which will eradicate the infection, given enough time while the pathogen is  under" arrest" by the abx.
For any oral, dental and gum issues, look into "Oil Pulling" with extra virgin coconut oil. Your mouth, gums and teeth, will Thank You for this!
If you need any more info on this let me know.

Happy belated birthday to your son and I hope 2013 will bring you
better health .
Blessings!
Niko

PS I'll let all your info sit with me for a while.

Hello Niko thanks so much for your response :) Hope you had a wonderful New Year!!! It was my son's bday as well so it definetly was a GREAT DAY!!! Also i forgot to mention i wake up everyday my gums are swollen and when i brush gums bleed. I've had ear issues for it seems like forever but my hearing is bad in my right ear had an ear test and the dr said i only had 22% hearing in that ear he suggested a earing aid my left ear was 67% so not as bad.Just curious if these symptoms listed with my other symptoms point to anything like sarcoidosis, wegener's etc.??

Kelly, my dear.
Not a huge cause for despair yet.! This calsified granuloma did not just appear!
It has been forming for some time and it was accidentally discovered ,
when your doctor was fishing for something else.
Usually, it is benign and presenting no symptoms,  possibly caused by damage from  infectious conditions, including fungal infections or it may be
associated with sarcoidosis-you might be on something Kelly!- or Wegener's, or other conditions.

As you probably know by now, A/I are hard to dx.

Perhaps have a look at Nano-available botwellia serrata from AOR, the only
mfg. who makes it, to possibly help you with some of your issues, that may have an inflammatory component AND an A/I response triggering action ( immune mimicry)
