Got the tests done yesterday. Not sure how long the test will be. I also got orders for a Saliva test but had to change it to blood for female hormones. Thanks for the good luck!
Hi.
How have you gone on with your bloodtests and seeing the doctor?
I would now definately get your ACA=Anticardiolipin Antibodies.and the
LA=Lupus Anticoagulant. bloodtests done.
Especially with you getting thrombophlebitis in the legs on numerous occassions, and also suffering from daily headaches.
The two could be connected, and the problem COULD be what is known as sticky blood, which causes headaches, and bloodclots, along with fatigue also, etc, etc,
Hope this helps
Nicola
Yes, I have had blood clots. All in my superficial veins in my legs. I've had up to 20 of them especially around pregnancies. I am not taking any medications at all.
No I am not into sports, but I am on my feet most of the day and I do try to walk several times a week.
No rashes, but been gaining about 1 pound per week the last year.
My period is very odd- Light bleeding when I wipe for 2 weeks before my period starts. Then gushing and clots for 3 days. Very strange...
Here are my November thyroid test results-I am not sure if this is relevant or not. But 1 hour before the test I drank a highly caffeinated drink. Would that skew the results?
TSH---- 1.47
NT-proBNP 71

hI.
i would definately be asking for a Full Blood Count.
Also some auto-immune testing, like ANA=Anti nucleur antibody test.
Anti=DNA, ACA= Anticardiolipin antibodies. etc.
Also check the Immunoglobulins.
LFT, =Liver funnction test, and the kidneys.
Also can i ask what medication are you taking, and also have you got any medical history, like miscarriage, bloodclots, bleeding, arthritis, or rashes, hives etc.
Which you may not have now.
Your blood pressure is on the lowside, and also your pulse is a little low too.
Do you do any sports? are you generally a fit person?
Hope this has helped you, and its a start for testing.
What were your thyroid results?
Hope to hear of you soon.
Nicola
I am going back to the doctor tomorrow. Any suggestions?? A test I can request? Lifestyle changes? (I don't smoke or drink)
I know the Doctor looked at my Thyroid and checked for diabetes. The also looked at my heart enzymes (my low blood pressure, and PVC's). All of it was normal!!
Hi.
I would love to help you, but please can you tell me what bloodwork you have had done.
That way i know what has been ruled out.
Look forward to hearing off you
Nicola
I just wanted to add...the worse part of this is. The more strenuous my day is the worse the night symptoms are. So if I am on my feet all day, and I exercise. By the end of the day I feel like I am starting a fever, body aches, sore glands, sore throat. All of these symptoms disappear by morning.
Please I have great insurance. But I live in a rural area, and going to the doctor is a big travel day. So I desperately need help choosing who to try next.
