We're pleased to announce that Prof. Garth Nicolson, founder of the Institute for Molecular Medicine in Huntington Beach, CA will be here 11/01-11/03/10, 3 days in total, answering questions from MedHelp members regarding Autoimmune Disorders and the role infections play in chronic illnesses and treatments for these infections.  Beginning 10/31 the forum will be open, accepting questions for Dr. Nicolson's return 11/01-11/03.

Although the name of the forum is  "Autoimmune Disorders",  Prof. Nicolson will also be answering questions on the role infections play and various treatments for ADD/ADHD, Autism, Alzheimer's Disease, ALS, Asperger's Syndrome, Crohn's Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Multiple Sclerosis, Lupus, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Hashimoto's, Sjogren's Syndrome, Reiter's Syndrome, Graves Disease, Gulf War Syndrome, Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Lyme Disease and cancer metastasis.

Thank you Professor Nicolson for taking the time to answer our questions.

I have lupus and fibromyalgia.  For the past 3+ months I have had a chronic dry cough w/ sore throat 3+ years (puss pockets and occasionally a strange odor from throat). The cough seems to come from my lungs w/ discomfort.  I don't know if this is related to the cough, but when I am stressed out, I get clusters of bruises on my arms.  (a circle of 5 or 6 small bruises)  I also have tenderness in the right upper quadrant (cholecystectomy in 07), with occasional severe cramping, nauseating symptoms.  

I am currently on plaquinel, nexium 2x/daily, and astepro nasal spray.  I also take tylenol arthritis for pain.  

What could possibly be going on?
