Psoriasis and it's affects other than skin

Well, as you know psoriasis is a skin disorder. However at times it can cause systemic inflammation. The commonest extra skin issue is psoriatic arthritis, often seen after 8-10 years of skin psoriasis. Other than this patients with psoriasis have a higher incidence of cardio-pulmonary disorders. Whether psoriasis is the cause or the inflammatory state precipitates cardio-pulmonary problem is not well understood. Hope this helps. Take care!
