QUESTION ABOUT KIND OF RASH

I have CFS since 1998.  But the Rheumy is thinking I have lupus and the rash on my face looks like a lupus and not rosacea.  He definitely said the rash is a connective tissue rash.  I also have it on my neck and chest.  But this is the tricky question?  If you have the malar rash then it spares the folds between the nose and cheeks.  Mine does not spare the folds but even my husband was mentioning and you can see it on my face that it has the butterfly wings shape.  Over the nose and cheeks but nothing under the eyes but it doesn't spare the folds.  But it looks just the butterfly wings.

Can anyone help me out with this?  I think it's strange because of the big resemblance but it does not spare the folds.

Hi Cindy,
I have the same kind of rash symptoms as you. On my face as you described and on my chest as well. I also have been running low grade fevers and a sore throat. My joints are achy and my right index finger is swollen like a sausage. Do you have any of these symptoms? thanks

I don't get the sore throats at all.  But I get fevers of 100-101 something.  I don't have any swollen fingers.  But sometimes I have pain in the joints of a couple of my fingers.  

What has your doctor said about your rashes?

Do you go to a Rheumy?

My rheumy basically told me take Xanax and call me in the morning. I have had all the blood tests which come back negative. I had a bit of stress, but does stress cause fevers? I could say the rash on my chest is from stress, but all my symptoms are psychical. Perhaps stress makes it worse, but I am in pain all the time and fevers almost everyday Have you put anything on your rash to make it better? I am seeing my GP on Tues to figure out whats going on I hate feeling like this! Thanks Melissa
