Strange reoccuring symptoms

I am a 42 year old woman, who has been having chronic symptoms:  muscle pain, muscle weakness, numbless and tingling, extreme mental fog, severe head pain and upper back pain, dizziness, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, and even eye problems.  I used to be able to do 2 aerobics classes.  Now i am lucky if i can make it thru one.  I have continual pain, however, when i have an episode it's severe enough to where i can barely function.   I have had all the blood tests, and an MRI, EEG, etc.   Everything shows normal.  I am desperate for help!!!   Losing hope!!!

wondered how you where getting on . Just thought  would give an update on my trip to the hospital . i had a camera up the nose into the lungs , think the lungs ok,and they did a bronchial wash . wasn't very pleasant . it seems i have a very narrow right nostril  and he thinks it could be causing a lot of problems. i go to see him on Wednesday this week to see what the results are and what can be done . Not sure this will clear up all the problems but didn't think for not minute it could be a sinus problem . Let you know the out come in case any one in similar position .

I have almost similar symptoms as you are having..only Im 20 years old. All of my tests have turned out normal also. Ive read that you can have a false negative for lupus and ANA bodies, as well as a false positive!
Ive also read that you can have MS and MS symptoms without the lesions showing- they either dont get picked up by the MRI or theyve healed completly until the next episode begins, and new ones will form-heal and then the cycle repeats itself. Im in limboland-- I feel similar to how youre feeling-- but only you know your body. Ask your doctor if you can have another MRI in a year and see if anything shows up (it might cost you due to being in the states, but apparently canada is just as bad-- 6 month wait for a 20 minute MRI). Ask if they can perform another blood test.

I agree with karajo- definitly get tested for lyme disease. My doctor told me ``lyme isnt predominent in brampton (toronto area)``... shieeez.. ive yet to be tested myself due to ignorance. It doesnt have to be dominant or whatever to get a tick bite.

Keep your head up! Were here to help each other out! I wish you luck! Update us if at all possible!

Hi Joybug,

I am reading your post and you sound like me.  I used to be very active, spin classes, rock wall climbing and I loved my job and worked hard.  I became so full of pain and fatigue throughout my body and I can tell you that the doctor I went to led me the wrong direction.  It was only because I knew someone who noticed my symptoms and told me to ask for a blood test called ANA.  It was then that we found out I had an autoimmune thing going on.  Then it took abut eight months before all symptoms showed up but mine turned out to be lupus.  I can tell you I am so tired everyday and the amount of pain comes and goes but there is never a day I don't have pain.  It has been 2 1/2 years now and I have been through a lot.  It took a long time to get a diagnosis and I am doing my best to help people get a little information that may help them get a diagnosis quicker, if I can.  I can tell you that you may be deficient in Vit D so you might want to have that checked and definitely have your ANA checked, your sed rate, your DSDNA (some doctors call it a lupus panel) Have your RA factor checked and if you are deficient in vit B you will be too tired to do anything.  I am on a prescription vitamin called Metanx and it is equal to 4 B12 shots several B3's and other B's and Folic Acid.  I hope this helped some.  Please let me know how you are and if I can help in any way.
God Bless...
Joni

Im 55yrs old and was fit till 4yrs ago.I had some similar things going on as your self , and at first nothing was showing up on tests .The pain was diagnosed as spondilitus in the neck so we know what caused that pain . but i still didn't feel ok .After a number of consultants and neurologist visits they found i had a B12 deficiency and my white cells where low.. Im still visiting a respiratory chest specialist as they say i have a staph infection which has been ongoing for 2 years and was only detected when they asked for a  sputum  test, but keeps coming back every four weeks now.so thats on going . They have put me on a drug called Pregalin,  which seems to help me relax the muscles a bit , but its still on going . All im saying is dont give up keep on at your GP your not right and who else can help , I try to see different doctors and this one is pushing things and i have found he is very understanding and is trying to help .

Check out the book "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" which will give you a list of vitamins and supplements you can take to help the body remove the toxins.  Look at the "Paleo Diet" which has good results in treating the neurological diseases.

Hello and welcome to MedHelp.

Some of what you are describing sounds like it could be an autoimmune disorder.  Possiblities are lupus, or MS.  But other possibilities are fibromyagia, chronic fatigue, B-12 deficiency, and or lymes.

Exactly what blood test were performed?
