They say my body attacks itself

Doctors say my body attacks it's self but they don't know why or what I have. My liver enzymes are never correct they are either high or low. I have been tested for everything I can think of and my docs can think of. My main problem is my stomach and esophagus. I can barely swallow but was told I have erosion on my esophagus, I have had it stretched 3 times and I am only 29. If my food does go down it within 15 mins comes back out sometimes I throw it up but other times I do the other. I don't understand how my food can go through my entire digestive track in less than 20 mins. I have been told I have a bad hiatal hernia and horrible chronic gastritis but that still doesn't explain it all. I am always tired and have been B12 and iron deficient and still am at any given time. Another puzzling factor is I don't loose weight, I barely eat and normally get rid of it fairly quickly. A lot I throw back up, I am hoping to find help by people out there who might have heard of anything like this. I have always had these problems but they got unbearable when I almost died bleeding to death and had a major blood transfusion. Has anyone heard of anything like this?

I have been tested for all of the above, now my latest thing they have found is fecal fat. I go in on the 21st to discuss everything but they only thing they can tell me so far is my stomach is mildly inflamed.

I knew a lady many years back who had stomach issues and intestinal problems.  She couldn't digest a lot of food.  DOn't know what caused it because I didn't know her well enough to talk about it at length.  I did know that she ate baby food for her meals usually.  It was the easiest thing on her stomach and digestive system.  Yup, a 30 some year old woman was eating baby food.  That's the only reason I knew she had the problems in the first place was I saw her eating baby food and asked why she was eating it.  It is like 8 years ago at this point and lost touch.

Hope your docs figure it out.

You sound a lot like my husband.  He was diagnosed with gastroparesis and barrett's esophagus, which is the erosion.   There is no cure, but it can be controlled.  Try a liquid diet for a while, and ask your doctor about this condition.

Also, have you had your thyroid tested?

Have you been tested for Celiac?  If not, here's some information:  http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/celiac-disease/DS00319/DSECTION=symptoms
Symptoms of Celiac is iron deficient, stomach problems.  Some people only get the iron deficient symptoms, while other get the stomach problems and food moving through fast.  Our relatives have Celiac and Crohns.  If Celiac is your diagnosis, you will need to be on a Gluten Free diet.  There are Gluten Free stores (our relative owns one).
