UCTD and swelling of hands in the night

Hi Everyone,
I was diagnosed with UCTD an year ago and i am on Plaquenil. My hands and fingers swell in the night. I start to have tingling sensation. Due to swelling i have sleepless nights. I take tylenol PM but most of the times it doesn't help and i get couple of hrs of sleep. The swelling goes down a little bit in the mid morning. i exercise atleast 4 times a week. Please let me know if anybody else had these issues.

My doc is aware of my swelling . My ANA was 1:160. Due to my swelling i am not able to sleep in the night. My hands feel very warm all the time. the rest of the body feels so cold. My doc has prescribed mobic for pain and tylenol pm for sleeping apart from plaquenil daily. i will research on Mixed connective tissue disease. thanks .

I think you should let your dr. know aout the swelling.  You could have Mixed Connective Tissue Disease.  Swollen hands are a symptom of that.  What was your ANA pattern?

There are several things that could be going on, so I would not ignore this symptom.

I do get swollen hands and fingers but it doesn't happen at night for me.  I have Lupus.  Are you taking anything that can help with the inflammation beyond Plaquenil?
