take vitamin d3, and add magnesium to your diet, your dr will never recommend it, sorry about that, drs are led by big pharmaceuticals either that or they are just ignorant and mean, I am a kidney patient stage 3 and they deny my bone pain, practically say im making it up, I take 10,000 iu/daily and when I can get sun I do that 20 minutes a day, a good magnesium capsule I purchase through online supplier eases the bone pain, make sure your supplements do not contain silica or any form of it, get clean vitamins and supplements,
Hi thanks for the post, it is very helpful.
I do know that my vitamin D leval is 26, how low is it going to get before they decide to give me the injections and I know that my B12 and magneseum is low as well but don't know the levels, and will the Rhumy decide that. My PCP pretty much told me there was nothing else he could do for me when it comes to these symptoms because all the blood test, other than the vitamins, have come back normal . What can I
do till i see the rhumy?
I was recently told I have a Vit D deficiency. It can cause many problems. Stops your body from absorbing calcium for your bones. Can cause pain, teeth/gum problems and other problems. They have me take a large dose of Vit D once a week. That will be for three months. I will then have to see if it helps enough to stop the large dose or not.
I would ask your doctor all the risk involved.
This is the info I was given: What a Vit D deficiency can do to our bodies:
Muscle fatigue, muscle weakness, pain in the bones and frequent fractures are the most common vitamin D deficiency symptoms in women. Other than these, the more serious vitamin D deficiency symptoms include unexplained depression, low levels of energy, constant fatigue, lack of concentration and mood swings. Other serious symptoms of low vitamin D levels include sleep disorders and other sleep irregularities. The immune system of the woman with low levels of vitamin D is also very weak. If the women are old, then the possibility of them falling a lot of times and chronic low energy levels are the very important and serious symptoms of low vitamin D. Vitamin D3 is an important vitamin that is useful in maintaining the bone health of a woman. Poor bone structure and constant bone pain is one of the important vitamin D3 deficiency symptoms in women. The other deficiency symptoms of vitamin D in women include neurological problems and back pain. Brittle bones is also the result of low levels of vitamin D.
Well my Dr said i don't have RA (RA factor 13.9) or Lupus. That's been two weeks ago and now its like everthing is getting worse by the day. It's hard for me to even believe it. My right hand became swollen, numb, and burning to the touch, (like a sunburn) Then the burning went to up into my arm. Then my left knee became so painful it was hard to walk after that the burning was from my scalp to my feet, and today it was a migrain like never before. I do believe its FMS. I have pain in my bones and joints as well.
My Dr. is refering me to a Rheumatologist I can't wait to find our exactly what is going on.
Yes. This is one of the reasons why my doctor dx me with FMS. Many with FMS have RA, so it is a familiar topic on the FMS/CFS forum. I don't have RA myself, but I'm definitely in the high risk category for developing it. I supplement both my vitamin D and B12.
Yes it can both D and B 12. Many take B12 injections. Also B12 deficency can be from celiacs, IBD, chrones, IBS and most bowel issues
It is my understanding that all autoimmune diseases can cause vit D deficiency. But I'm not sure about B-12 deficiency. I know it is associated w/ some autoimmune diseases, but I'd be cautious to try to list them.
