What could it be?

My 10 year old daughter presented with puss filled blisters on her feet, toes and on the palms of her hands three weeks ago. She is also having joint pain in her ankles and wrists. We have had bloodwork done such as CBCw/Diff, normal, RA Factor,normal,SED rate,48, and other test that are coming back normal. She is in the hospital now and she has all the MDs stumped.We are waiting for blood cx and ANA results now. She is afebrile, no coughing or cold like symptoms. Just the blisters and severe joint pain and limited movement. Any suggestions on what it may be?

Sorry to hear about your daughter.  My daughter had doctors stumped for quite a while as well with various autoimmune symptoms.  It was not until she was evaluated at a Childrens Hospital/University that she was helped. If your just at your local hospital at this point I would ABSOLUTELY have her transfered.  Good luck to you.

Sounds like an autoimmune disorder. If you stay where you are vs. going to a children's specialty hospital (I agree with stepmom1-go to one!) Your daughter should have her immune globulins checked along with complements. The first suspicion would naturally be rheumatoid (autoimmune) but she could be presenting with something different. If a doc tells you he is "stumped" and offers nothing more, then ask for a referral. If they do not want to refer, then do it yourself. I have presented with an illness and went to several doctors and all they said is that they didn't know but did they refer? Nope. Some doctors think that if they don't know what it is then there is no cause. Be diligent and stay in touch with this site. There are some very knowledgeable folks here. Not necessarily counting myself! :)
