abdominal pain

I have not been dx'd with anything other than fibro. My dr keeps leaning on lupus, because of symptoms and positive ana, but the lupus test is negative.

Last week, i had my 3rd bout with pluerisy. Monday, i started having a dull pain in my upper mid left abdomen.

After dinner, the pain increased and was also in my upper back. I am very nauseous, but no vomiting or fever. I am also belching horribly.

I went to the dr today, and he suspects kidney infection.he drew blood, took urine and told me to eat only clear foods and rest. He gave me cipro.

It doesnt seem like kidneys to me.

Has anyone else had any experience like this?

Thank you

Hi!

Well, pleurisy can cause chest pain and an X-ray should be done. Belching could be due to irritation of diaphragm due to pleurisy. Other than this you could also be having acidity or IBS. Any chest pain should be investigated for angina or heart attack.
Take care!
