I have been having a burning sensation on my nose and scalp that is getting worse. It started about 4 years ago with a redden raised area on the tip of my nose. I have seen several docs and was told by the derm doc that it was rocesa. It is now burning on the right side of my scalp. There is no itching or anything else. I spent 19 days in ICU and was dx with drug induced lupus do to a statin drug. At that time I had pericarditis, pericardial effusion, plurisy, atelectasis, multiple pulmonary emboli and penumonia. My dx has been changed numerous times but it remains an auto immune disease. I'm presently on cell cept which has decresaed my s&s so that I can breathe without much pain. My ana was over 2000, crp 9.7, uric acid 9.5, and creat 1.29, wbc's 18,000. My lastest labs are uric acid 8.9, sed rate, cbc and crp wnl, and the skin continues to burm The redden area on the nose is getting larger and still burns as well as my scalp. I also have ringing in my rt ear most of the time. I still see a rheum who prescibes the cellcept and he states it's probably part of the disease. What can I do to find out what's wrong and how to cure it?
