You may have an underlying pathogenic infection like mycoplasma, babesia, borrelia, ehrlichia, bartonella or other chronic infection like Clamydia Pneumoniae, which has not been detected due to:
1. Your doctors' lack of knowledge, or "intentional ignorance"
( the chronic aspect of some of these infections may not be recognized by CDC or IDSA and most conventional doctors comply with their recommended protocols).
2. The labs lack of testing methods/not sensitive enough
3. Both 1 & 3- most likely
If it had been just a case of bronchitis, why would the doctor prescribe antibiotics when it has to do with a virus most of the time! No wonder it did nothing for you, or rather it did destroy some of your healthy bacteria in your gut!
Trying to rule out underlying pahogenic infections could prove to be a a challenge.
I suggest you look into the work of Dr Garth Nicolson, an expert in this field and a part-time medhelp contributor.
In light of your weakened immune system , the antibiotic treatment and the stress from all this, it might be wise to
get candida ruled out.
And this might present another challenge, as candida is not
an established medical diagnosis, in addition to it being
challenging to diagnose.
You may do your own screening test (not diagnostic).
Just search under "saliva test for candida"-fast and easy.
Medicine has a lot of gray and dark areas, which I'm sure
you're witnessing through your present experience, because it is primarily money-driven and not patient outcome-driven.
Best wishes,
Niko
