i have had aches and muscle stiffness for years. Usually stretching and exericse helps, but lately it doesn't help for long.  I finally went to dr and found out that I have low vitamin d and was given a weekly prescription of vitamin d. I also tested positive for ana and am being referred to rhumetologist. I am afraid that I have serious illness.

Hi and welcome to MedHelp.

Could you tell us what your ANA level was?

Try to get copies of everything they do.  Every test.  These records are legally yours for you to keep for your own personal records.  Trust me, if you end up with something serious, you'll be glad you have them on hand.

hi i read your post from nov 3rd. when i first went to the rheumy after they said i had a positive ana, she said i didnt have ra or lupus.(even though i had at least 90% of the synptoms) i still went back to her a few more times complaining and she just told me to go to a urologist and nephrologist because  i was still showing microscopic blood in my urine. i did and they did a scan and said my bladder and kidneys were fine, but they sent me a home urine kit to do and then send it to a lab. the results were that i had kidney tube damage that could be caused by alot of different things, and my protein level was up.(which it wasnt before) no one was listening so i found a new pc dr and he did more blood work and diagnosed me with mctd. so i go to a NEW rheumy on monday. dont give up if they arent telling you anything. listen to your body. keep going til someone listens.let me know what you found out.
