swelling, headache, fatigue

i have shin and ankle swelling as well as chronic headaches and fatigue and weight gain. my doctor has prescribed a water pill as well as otc ibuprofen with no explanation or diagnosis. i was just wondering if anyone has any information as to whether or not this may be an auto immune issue.

Hello there..I guess your Doctor is hoping the swelling in your shin and ankle and your weight gain are due to water retention. So he has given you a water pill prescription. The ibuprofen must be for your headaches. You would feel tired due to the water retention!
However, an explanation to you, the patient, would really have been appropriate from your Doctor. Communication really helps when you feel lousy.
