Acute chemical exposures often cause chronic problems, especially if they continue or if your immune system was suppressed by the exposure and you picked up opportunistic infection(s). For example, we found that this was quite common in carbon monoxide poisoning. Once the CO exposure was effectively treated, patients often became chronically sick due to secondary infections.
In Raynaud's disease, smaller arteries that supply blood to your skin narrow, limiting blood circulation to affected areas. Women are more likely to have Raynaud's disease. It's also more common in people who live in colder climates.
Dry eyes and dry skin is often linked to poor sugar utilization (high blood glucose), so you should be checked for this but only when your dry eye and skin condition is maximum (otherwise it may be in the normal range if you are not a diabetic).
Dry skin and eyes is also a sign of sarcoidosis but this typically occurs with other symptoms as well. Most sarcoidosis patients have chronic bacterial infections that require treatment.
Chemical and/or heavy metal exposure can worsen the symptoms, probably by affecting the immune system. You can be checked for this. If chelation doesn’t address your symptoms, then you need to look at other alternatives.
Thank you once again for all your time and help, I did ask for HBOT, Chelation, Sauna, detoxification etc. but was told that fresh air was all I needed! My last question; is it too late is the damage done or is there treatment 3 years on from the poisoning that will stop or reverse the progressive illnesses that I have gone on to develop since the toxic poisoning/exposure.
Sorry I misread your comments. In chronic chemical exposures it is important to decrease the chemical burden in your body to reduce the effects of stored chemicals. In the case of chemical vapor exposures, one of the best ways to reduce the body burden is to take dry saunas several times per week. The heat actually leaches chemicals out through your skin pores. Cycling with saunas and tepid showers can effectively remove stored chemicals. Another way to do this is with HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) but this is a lot more expensive.
Dear Garth Nicoloson thank you again for your comments but I think I havent explained my exposure properly to you. I suffered( Chronic exposure) for five and a half years.
I was rushed to A&E and once away from exposure BP would return to normal speech would be back to normal, the druged feeling would leave and no one new what it was.
When my dog died in the kitchen we then kne something was wrong.
Thank you for your feedback tarter.
Dear Dr Garth Thankyou for your comments I have low suger readings and have been checked for all bacteria all neg. My Doctor is not sure how to help but is sending me for a second referal with a Neurologist because of speech problems. He wondered if the raised Mangernese could be affecting my immune system. My husbands sugar is so high he should be in acoma but has no signs of Diabetus. Again My docotor things ithe Kerosene exposure we had for five years will take time for us to recover. We are both lucky to have suvived the Proffessor who tested the air could not believe the readings we were both jaundace with high liver results back to normal now except husband has fatty liver
Thankyou once again for your interest and comments tarter.
