Weird Symptoms - Which AutoImmune is it?

I'm on doctor # 7 and they are all at a loss.  Looking for ideas/suggestions

Age 36 yr old Caucasian female - no children/pregnancies

I have negative ANA, RA test 8 out of 14, checked for Lyme's, MRI for MS inconclusive - no signs of demylenation but Dr not willing to rule out 100%.  Celiac panel negative, Told maybe Lupus or a variety of other autoimmune.  Dr #7 is a Rheumatologist

I've had endometriosis, diagnosed w/narcolepsy, false positive tests for syphilis (thank you red cross), I bruise very easily, low vitamin D, low b12, body doesn't absorb iron very well, vertigo for past 10 years (off and on), very susceptible to motion sickness, nausea is a "normal" part of my life, currently wrists, hands, fingers hurt so much could barely wash my hair today (typing no fun). chronic depression (off on for 18 yrs), reactive hypoglycemia.

I think I had scarlet fever when I was 3 yrs old.  chicken pox when I about 13 yrs old

family history (only maternal known):  Crone's Disease, Wilson's Disease, Myasthenia Gravis, lots of arthritis, lots of diabetes, and some cancers

Who said anything about STDs?  I was referring to chronic intracellular bacterial infections.  Most of these are airborne infections, not STDs, although they can also cause vaginal, urinary and bladder infections.

Hi.. I need to know whats wrong with me. The last 2 years have been hell for me. I've collapsed 8 times in the last 2 yrs. Suffered with dizziness and headaches also I feel sick everyday and worse when I eat. Also I always suffer from stomach cramps all the time and this happens in my everyday life. The doctors certain tests and said eveythjngs fine but I'm not convinced at the end of the day there's hundreds of tests to do with certain things so how can they say eveythjngs fine when they haven't tested for certain things also I'm always suffering from fatigue i can't even work a full shift without feeling so achey and tired. Sometimes my legs feel like jelly when I'm just walking around when Im shopping it's not normal. The doctor looked in to addisons and done a cortisol level which is meant to be between 500-700 and mine was 50 then he did a short synactin and then he wrote to me saying he didn't need to see me again. But it puzzles me cause surley something is wrong cause my levels wouldn't of been low in the first place I'm always feeling Ill and I've lost 3 jobs just because I'm being left undiagnosed and I'm struggling through every day life please help me!!

i have just signed up to this site & i don't think u r crazy..........i suffered with many seemingly non related issues..........many drs told me it was in my head & gave me anti-depressives.......i was passed around alot, too.........after 8.5yrs of absolute hell, i was finally dx'd with systemic lupus...........

lupus is a tough nut to crack & alot of drs don't go there........even tho they say u r negative for it with the ANA & all, let me tell u, even if those tests come back neg, u can still have something like this.........i personally think that u have to get to a point of having organ involvement to get drs to really c it on a test..........

when my anti-body tests finally came back, my dr was very surprised that there was more of them elevated, there was only 1 that was, with an ANA elevated some 6mos b 4.........

auto immune diseases can make u feel nuts...........u know something is wrong & sometimes some of the things that hurt, don't hurt other times........tho, to my way of thinking, with anyone with lupus, each individual will have those symptoms that r normal for that person.........

my digestive issues had been going on for 6.5yrs at the time of the Dx..........they were bad & now, when they kick up, i know i need more meds..........

lupus is a nasty disease & i hope u don't have it, but don't give up, there r a few good drs who do treat symptoms & go from there.........it took me a long time to find mine..........

It's something to watch, but I would not focus on this unless the symptoms worsen or come back.  There are several things that are required for a diagnosis of MS, and you may not have any of these at the moment.

Hi Garth,

I am a 40 yr old female who has an identical twin with MS and a birth mum with MS. She was diagnosed when we were in our early 20's. I was diagnosed with Epilepsy early in life. The past year I have been experiencing sensations (tingling, cramping, burning, bubbling etc.) in my feet and lower calves which sounds like paresthesia? and bubbling sensations around my mid section.  I have had a MRI  2 years ago which did not show any signs consistent to MS. I was told that these sensations could be related to Epilepsy but my research does not back this up? I am not on any medications as my Epilepsy is in remission. Do you think I should be concerned about the possibility of these sensations being MS with my high genetic background, even though my MRI came up negative 2 years ago?

I don't know about the MedHelp search engine, but perhaps that needs to be fixed.

I apologize for the misunderstanding.  However, if you copy and paste either of the conditions you mention:  Chlamydia pn and Mycoplasma - into the MedHelp search you get information on STDs and HIV and pets.  I'm sure you can now understand my confusion.

I did check both over on google and found what you were really referring too.  Thank you for clarifying

I'm confused by your answer.  I do NOT have a history of STD's.  I'm in a long time (10+ yr) monogamous relationship.  The syphillis test was a FALSE postive.  I have annual pap exams and always normal

No, you are not crazy!  When we see such non-descriptive symptoms with negative lab tests, we generally start looking at alternatives.

Since you have had a history of infections in the past, that is where I suggest you look again.  Often acute infections mask other more chronic infections that do not subside but grow and spread very slowly until they cause a new set of symptoms.  Your current symptoms are consistent with this possibility.

I would suggest starting with the usual infections that are associated with your current problems, such as Chlamydia pn., Mycoplasma species, etc.
