Belly Buddies - 7/6/10

Here we go ladies.  Better late then never, right?  There have been SO many births and BFP's since the last thread that it's impossible to count them all!!  Rossie had little boy Jeyden and Steph had a "not so little" boy Gavin.  Both mamas and babies are doing well!  CONGRATS!!

Plus, we had a TON of BFP's!  Tausha, deedee, andreasmom and princessjam (Jamie).  The group has also come full circle and one of those names that is at the very tippy top, is now again at the bottom =)  Congrats to Dani!!

Special prayers are going out to Hudsy.  I hope that her status is wrong and there is still hope.

We also continue to pray for Lori's battle with that ugly "C" word!  We all know that she is going to kick it's butt and get her booty back on the train!

All right, here we go!!

Trying - Just tell them after the apt that the baby didn't want you to know, that you tried but couldn't get a clear shot.  They'll give you a little pitty then move on, maybe ask if you'll try again (at that point you can say your dr won't do another ultrasound unless something's wrong with the baby).  I don't like to lie, but if it decreases your stress it gives you the option to tell or not tell when you'r ready.

I had my 38 week apt today, and my first internal check (wow those kinda hurt)  I am 2cm dilated and 80% effaced, and soft.  So I am making progress!  Hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Nat- Congrats on the little boy!!!

How's everyone doing?

Just an update.  Had my 37wk appt today.  I've lost wt and baby is really low.  I had a lot of contractions yesterday and did not sleep at all last night.  My doc wants me to call Monday with an update and possibly move my c-section to next week.  He thinks the baby is large and I went from measuring 36 to 31 in 1 week.  My scheduled date is 8/5- so I'm anxious to have this baby.  I still worry something can happen- after my last loss, I doubt it will go away until she is born and I see she is healthy.  Her heartrate was much better this week at 150's instead of 110's- so that makes me feel better.

Natalie - Congrats on the healthy baby and the short delevery!!

20 weeks today!! Finding out what the baby is on Monday...And unfortunatly my excitment has died, my STEP-mother in law asked me at WORK today when the appt is and I told her we had changed it but weren't telling anyone when it was and she got all huffy in front of everyone and said "I'm so over it anyway I don't want to know don't even call me when its born" I told her if I didn't she'd have hurt feelings but the truth is I don't like her and neither does my DH so not calling her wont bother me much...btw she's only been around about a year or two before DH and I met so it's not like she's a big part of his life... ON top of all that, my co-workers are pressuring me to tell them what I'm having when I know...and rediculing me for not wanting to share and I've only known these ppl like 6 MONTHS now. It so feels like everyone is taking all my excitment by trying to stick their noses into mine and my DH's business. Sorry for the rant ladies just a little upset this morning. Hope everyone is having a better Friday than me!

Hi everyone...We welcomed Samuel Bradley into our lives on July 12 at 10:43 am. I was induced so at about 8:45 the nurse started the pitocin and by 10:30 I was pushing...lol. It was a nice, easy delivery and of course short which was what I was hoping for. He weighed 9 lbs and was 22 inches. I am really glad I went with the induction, he is such a big boy! I have to take back lots of new born clothing as it only goes up to 8 lbs. Thanks to all of you for the thoughts and prayers throughout this entire journey. It wasn't always easy and there were lots of ups and downs but sharing this time with so many of you was priceless. Good luck to everyone and I'll definitly be in to check on how things are going!

treatgirl - Congrats!  It's so nice to see the list growing!

DMarie919 - It's probability just how the baby's laying in your belly, I get that a lot too (although she's always hanging low!).  If I have a chance when it gets really annoying/bothersome I'll do downward dog for a little bit to help the baby move around and get into a more comfortable position for me.  It doesn't work all the time, but it works at least half the time.

I'm so excited, I'm 28 weeks!  A week from today is my glucose test, I'm not looking foreword to that at all!

Thanks everyone for being so welcoming!  I am still in shock I guess I don't think it has really sunk in all the way yet.  LOL  I got my appt. all set up yesterday and it is going to be for 8-4, unless they call me back and want me to come back sooner.

I sure hope you'll are doing great.

Congrats Treatgirl!

Need some answers: Thanks for sharing the info!  I didn't know that...but I agree..I always try to drink most of my water earlier in the day so I am not up all night.

Along with a bladder question...lately, I've noticed that when I'm standing for a period of time or doing a lot in standing, I feel a lot of pressure and I have to pee a lot more...then when I sit or lie down the feeling goes away?  It seems like it also happens more at the end of the day like after I've been on my feet all day and gravity is taking it's toll...has anyone experienced this??

YAY, Congrates Treatgirl!!

Well, I believe little Ava Sophia will be a gymnist!!  I have really started to feel her moving around the past few days and last night everytime I would turn over it felt like she was doing flips!  LOL!!  The feeling is still kinda light, like a rumbling belly but I know it's her letting me know that she is awake!  I'm still a little nervous about the level 2 scan on the 23rd but I'm feeling a little better about it after reading that most of the time it is nothing.  I just wish the day would hurry and get here so I will know either way.

With my first I knew it was a boy, then for a month or so I had dreams of a girl, but then I went back to knowing/feeling that it was a boy.  We couldn't find out during the ultrasound as he was just not letting us find out, but it was a boy!  I had no clue what we were having this time, but the more I looked at the 3D ultrasounds we got I just felt like we were having a girl.  I'm waiting for DH to think up a few more names, I'm also going to start looking for gender nutural names to name our lost one so we can use Bethany.

I'm not feeling well, I've got a bit of a head cold that I got from DH.  And I haven't slept in the last 2-3 days either, DH has been coughing like crazy all night and DS has not been sleeping at all!  He woke up at 4 this morning wanting to play.  I know it's only Tuesday but I'm SO looking foreword to a weekend where I can get a little sleep!

Cocacolapanda - felt like a girl for so long...until I started dreaming about a little boy!! I've had about 6-7 dreams about finding out I'm having a boy or raising a boy...cute little thing too lol!! So now I just don't know, gut says girl but head says boy!! Wish I had more of an instinct...did you ever pick out a name?

Need answers, that's good to know.  Also try to drink more watter early in the day and slow down a little later that should hopefully help with peeing at night.  I couldn't keep liquids down for a while so I drank mostly at night and peeded every hour, now that I'm able to keep it down better I can drink more early and not need to pee THAT often.

Trying - Any feelings on what you think you might be having?  That's so exciting!  I can't wait to hear!

Bam - I know that was super sweet of him!! I'm so lucky lol!!

Cocacolapanda - Thanks for the reasurance! I felt like it wasn't really an issue, but had that nagging little feeling like I should def. ask around and see what everyone says. I can't believe that I am this far!! I go in a week from today to see what we're having and we have decided not to tell eveyone straight away, so family won't know for as long as I can keep it a secret but you guys'll know next Tuesday...assuming the baby cooperates lol!! Yeah, I'm worried that DH'll be shaving my legs before its over with too lol!! Hope he knows how to be gentle!!

19 weeks 3 days!! Just one more week and I'll know what it is!! Which means I get a three-day weekend, so hurry up Friday!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey ladies....called the Doc.

Bleach/Ammonia smelling pee in pregnant women = dehydration.  Doctor told me to drink lots of water the next couple of days and I should see a change which I am already seeing (smelling) ...lol.  The water intake did not help my sleep though....I was up every hour in the bathroom...I guess that is a good sign.

Thanks for your responses.  I thought I would share the information just in case someone else has the problem in the future.

wow, well hopefully the hot weather cools down for everyone!  It's been fairly hot the last week or two, but we just had a cold front come through so nice 70's for at lease a few days!  I wish I could do more, but I can't use our treadmill till we clean it out, DS decided it's a jude-box and shoved a bunch of CD's in it.

Steph - Wow, 3 weeks!  I can't wait to say that about myself!

Dana  - With my first pregnancy I ballooned out like crazy in the third trimester, it's not un-common at all.  Sometimes it's from eating (That was my case with DS) or other's it's just water weight.

Need some answers - No clue, I would defiantly mention it to your dr at your next visit.  If it's worrying you a lot you can always call the office and ask a nurse.  I agree with Dana, the smell does change some when pregnant, even through out the pregnancy.  After 20 weeks I noticed a difference.

Tausha: thanks for making me feel better.  I thought I was doing well but lately I just feel like I am ballooning out..and I really am not eating a lot more....oh well...

Need some answers: I'm not sure about that but I think I would say that when you are pg. your urine and discharge can smell a little different....Id say mine has too, just keep an eye on it if it is a light smell and not overpowering or if the discharge is yellow or anything other than clear or white...then I'd mention it to your dr.

Steph: can't believe you are so close!!!

Natalie:  Thinking of you tomorrow hon!  Can't wait to get the news!!!

Hi ladies- just wanted to check in.  My and hubby went to his family's camp on the lake this weekend.  We had a great time enjoying most likely our last weekend away by ourselves.

I hope everyone is doing well.  I've just started the 3 week countdown!

Hi ladies...I hope all is well with all of you future mommies.  I have a question that I hope someone can answer for me.

My pee smells like chlorine.  I havent gone swimming so I am not sure why it smells like this.  I know your discharge can change in smell while pregnant but chlorine??!!

Any thoughts?
