hello ladies!
missmyangel- Congrats on the awesome u/s!  ( I wish I could have another u/s!)

Angelbaby-  your numbers look great, congrats!  Maybe you will see twins next Wednesday!

Sam-I think Henry is a great name.  A friend of mine just named her little boy Henry.  Any girls names?

I had a great apt yesterday.  Nothing too exciting happened.  Although I thought I was 25 weeks and the Drs think I'm 26 weeks.  I kept telling them they were wrong and they kept double checking saying I am indeed 26 weeks.  In the long run it doens't matter.  It only mean I start my apts every 2 weeks instead of having my next apt at 4 weeks.  The Dr also took my fist belly measurement and I was 25 cm right on target!  Ashlynn has been kcicking like a mad woman lately.  I love feeling her kicks everyday.

MissmyAngel - Congrats on making it to twelve weeks and having a great appointment yesterday!

Well, I got my beta results back today and my HCG went from 308 at 4w1d to 868 4w4d to 17,920 at 5w4d!!  I'm thinking this little one might just be a keeper...or maybe 2??!!!  I can't wait until next Wednesday for my u/s...so excited!!  Oh and the nausea kicked in hard core yesterday and today...wow!!  I have to be eating something about every 20-40 minutes or I feel like I'm going to be sick!!  I'm  not complaining though, as long as it means I have a healthy pregnancy then I can deal!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day today!!!

I had my u/s yesterday, and baby is doing great! I was measuring four days ahead, so that puts me at 12 weeks today! I'm so happy to finally be out of the woods :) I havent really been having any bladder problems, but found out why yesterday. There was this mass that looked just like my uterus but bigger, and when I asked what it was, the tech told me that was my big bladder! I was expecting to find another baby in there with the rate of my belly growth.

angelbaby-Good luck with your u/s :)

Erica-I'm so sorry to hear about the cancelled baby showers :/ I really like cocacolapanda's idea of having your shower after the baby is born, so everyone can ooh and ahh over your cute little bundle :) I'm glad to hear your family is being so supportive!

Dana-I know how you feel, I hate that I can't have Advil, its the only thing that works. Tylenol does absolutely nothing to help me out :/ Is it a cold? I believe robitussin DM is safe to take.

Ahahahaha 9 days and 10 minutes! That is awesome! All this talk of sonograms is making me reconsider not getting an anatomy scan! I want to wait, but I want to know! I feel like I can't buy anything cuz I can't seem to find anything yellow! I guess I'll spend some time in Topeka and see what I can find there this weekend. I'm trying to go yellow with teddy bears for a theme with this one so it's neutral.

And it's settled. Henry is the name for sure. There is no debating anymore. I love it too much... plus Henry really is making a come back I think.

I don't wake up at night, but I seem to not be able to hold even a trickle! I think my bladder is mad at me lately. I feel like I have to go... like an irritating have to go and then there's nothing really significant.

Sam - I LOVE the name Henry!!!  I think it is super cute!  My SIL is thinking about naming number 2 Henry when the time comes...and if they have another boy!

Erica - I'm sorry you had to miss your showers!!  That stinks!  Like coca said, you can just have them once the baby comes!

As for me, I'm still just waiting!!  LOL!!  I had another round of Beta's done this morning and hope to have those numbers this afternoon but it will probably be more like tomorrow before I get them.  Just 9 days and 10 minutes until I get my fist u/s and I can't wait to see my little bean!!  Hopefully everything is great this time!!

Sending positive vibes to all you wonderful expecting mommy's on here!!

Erica, I'm sorry your missing your showers, but maybe you can have them (or at least one) after the baby is born.  Everyone will want to see the new little baby anyway and you'll probably feel much better!  I'm glad everyone's treating you well on bed rest!  My SIL had a shower after she had her little one and I think the guests almost had more fun because they got to see and play with the new baby.

szw2008 - Henry David isn't a bad name, Henry is a great name for a boy!

I'm almost 15 weeks and I've been getting up to pee about twice a night for at least 4 weeks now.  I hate it!  Other than that I've been sleeping pretty good, I'm still beyond exhausted so falling asleep is pretty easy for me at the moment.

Aw Erica...I'm sure it's not fun to miss your showers!  But everyone understands and is there to support you!  I'm glad you have a supportive family that can help you!  Enjoy those cookies! :)

13 weeks today and feeling very blessed.  I also feel like I've sprouted overnight almost though!  YIkes!  LOL....

Good morning ladies!  So, this weekend I was supposed to have 2 baby showers (1 surprise shower from the girls at work, and 1 my mom and sister were throwing me)..now I get none, because I can't go anywhere! I am really disliking bed rest. I totally know, it's best for the baby right now, I really don't want to have this baby prematurely, but I'm missing all the fun stuff. Showers, setting up the room, shopping..I can't even cook dinner for my family. Luckily I have the best family ever! DH has been amazing, taking DD to daycare every day, and basically running around like a lunatic. He's been cleaning, cooking (a bit), doing the grocery shopping, getting the baby's room organized, etc. Also my mom and sister have been wonderful, yesterday they cooked up a storm. Mom made enough stew to last at least a week, and she made enough meat sauce for at least 3 pasta dinners. My sister knows how much I love hummus, so she made me a giant batch, and brought some baby carrots to go with it, AND she made chocolate chip cookies! That being said, as much as I appreciate everyone's help, I just wish I could do all this myself for my family. Ok, enough b*tching...

Hope you're all doing well!

One of my friends has a friend with a son Henry.  I don't think it's bad...I think its coming back into popularity!  I think boys names are so hard!!!

Thanks for the sleeping advice..I might try the music.  Something has to work...I usually can get to sleep, but then once I wake up to pee (which has been at least twice a night) then it takes me forever to get back to sleep :(

Hey ladies. I need opinions on the name Henry David... I'm in love with it, but everyone I tell it to thinks it's just the worst name ever. I'm already stuck on it I think..... is it as bad as my friends and family say?

I've always had trouble sleeping, but it got worse right after I got pregnant. Thank goodness I'm pretty sure the baby implanted high, I usually only get up once to pee at night, sometimes not at all. The past few nights I have been waking up at about 3 am because I'm hungry though, lol. The thing that helps me the most is having a long shower right before bed, and just sit on the bottom of the tub and let the water spray my back and neck.
Another thing that is hard, is trying to train myself to sleep on my left side, lol. I wake up in the morning on my back :/

I'm having trouble sleeping, but I found a great remedy... I went on iTunes and found some soothing music... my favorite to listen to is Sacred River by Gandalf. It's a whole album of this GREAT music. There's a ton more but that's what I put on my iPod at bed time. I'm usually out by the second song. I wake up in the middle of the night to take my ear buds out but then I'm still in such a trance that I fall right back asleep!

DMarie919- I'm not able to stay up late, but I don't sleep well at all! I am waking up and tossing and turning all night long. I have had this problem from the beginning of this pregnancy.

Sam: I know what you mean about telling people and then fearing something will happen.  I have just told practically everyone this week and now I feel like it was a jinx also!  I NEED to start trusting that everything is okay.  And like my friend said, there is nothing I can do otherwise so I'd better just enjoy this time....she's right but I just feel anxious still.
Anyone out there experiencing insomnia?? I haven't slept well all week and now i sit here at 1247 am and still not able to sleep.  I had a decaf sugary drink at the mall earlier and I think eventhough it was decaf it had enough in it to make me a little hyped up especially since I've really not drank anything with caffeine in it at all the past 12 weeks.  Its gotten my stomache all blah also.  So I am hoping it's just from that and the fact that my dh has had a cold and has been snoring....but I hope it's not going to turn into a regular event!!!

haha I have actually lost about 10 pounds but I have a little baby bump you can see when I have on a tight shirt. I feel like I can feel almost a bubbling wiggling feeling all of a sudden today. I was laying down for a nap and felt it. I don't know if that's what they call quickening or what? It wasn't gas cuz trust me I know what them bubbles feel like... it was almost like.. okay this is demented, but if a fish gets caught in the corner of them plastic bags you take them home in they wiggle... it felt like that... SORT OF haha. It's hard to describe. I felt my son around 17 weeks so I bet it'll be about then again too... MAYBE sooner if I'm lucky haha!

angelbaby and Lori, GRATS!!!

Wow, I'm getting really behind too. I have been showing/bloating since the beginning too, but I had a lap. surgery done last year and my tummy had to get stretched, then right afterwards I got pregnant, and gained about 30 pounds in the first trimester (big red flag that it wasn't meant to be) and I have never been able to get rid of the pooch or the weight since, so I kind of had a head start this time lol.
I'm really excited to start feeling movements as well, though I know it wont be for quite awhile yet.
I told work right away this time, because I held off last time, and had to go in one day, saying, "Well, I'm pregnant but I might be losing my baby so I need to go to the hospital now", and because I didn't want it to stress me out. I'm really regretting it now though, because right after I told them , they hired someone else and cut my hours back and gave her all the hours, so my maternity leave is going to suck :/

szw2008 - I know what you mean about feeling the baby move.  IT was sometime around 20 weeks for my first pregnancy, and my midwife said about 17 is when some second, third... time moms start to feel the baby moving.   I am also SO excited to start feeling the movements!  Have you started to show a little yet??

Hey ladies- I really need to watch this thread more. I am REALLY behind. I think pregnancy has already zapped my brain. If it's not on one of my many lists... I don't remember it. When there's baby on the brain, there isn't much room for anything else haha.

I don't have anything new to report really. Just watching my tracker tick along! I'm waiting and waiting to feel the baby move... I feel like I should feel it already so I lay really still at night and try to convince the baby to kick me. It never works haha. It really is crazy to see how fast the time really flew by. I've known I was pregnant for about 10 weeks now... that seems insane to me. I still have a fear that telling people will jinx this pregnancy. The day after we broke the news I felt terribly guilty and just KNEW something bad was going to happen, but so far so good!

trying- my pics are on my page and it is my profile pic too. I have been showing since the beginning (like you said, bloating). I currently look like I'm about 4-5 months along. Granted, this is my 3rd child and I never fully lost my baby pooch from my pregnancy with my daughter, but I think that this is mostly because of bloating. Like you said, I don't feel bloated, but I think that being pregnant breaks all the rules!

cocacolapanda - Thanks for the advice about when to tell work, I think I'll wait until I am really far along, although human-reasources just happens to be my mother-in-laws best friend so she knows and asked me how I was doing this morning and how I was feeling, I told her nobody else knows and she said she hadn't mentioned it to anyone so not to worry about it and she just said to wait until after my doc appt and see what the doc says and go from there. I know baby is like the size of a grain of rice right now, I just thought like you that I wouldn't be able to tell for quite awhile, but I didn't even get to show in the first pg so this caught me off gaurd. I'm sure it's probably bloating or maybe I am just eating more...btw I am like 5'5, 125 lbs, which is exactly where I am supposed to be for my height and my stomach for the most part is flat. Idk, like I said it's probably bloating I'm sure you can bloat without feeling bloated. It might also be inpart to my stomache being harder. And on a different note, is everyone supposed to get constipated during pg? I always get regular when I get pg.

trying_x_3 - Even for people who haven't had miscarriages many times they say waiting till 12 weeks is good, with my second pregnancy (the one I miscarried, my first miscarriage) I was waiting to tell, and the week I was going to was when I found out about loosing the baby.  I'm hoping your two miscarriages weren't linked and that your new little bean does well!  Also, if your longest pregnancy was 10 weeks it wouldn't be stretched out that much yet.  I did bloat a LOT, and often times I just "felt" pregnant and didn't really feel bloated.  Also, depending on your frame and how skinny you are (or how you carry your fat) you could easily show early as well, but usually after 12 weeks.  If you show before 12 weeks it's not the baby, it's all the extra stuff the baby's moving out of the way.  From my first pregnancy I still have lots of extra fat in the belly area that if I wore maternity pants everyone would think I'm at leasts 20 weeks.

annalc - I'm glad you got your ultrasound and everything was fine!  I'm sure you'll hear the heartbeat at the next apt!  I can't wait to see the pics, I had an ultrasound at 9 weeks and my baby still looked like a little bean, it would be interesting to see how much they change in a week!

Annalc - So happy to hear that your baby looked great and you're doing well!!

Did anyone else bloat? My family pointed out that I had a pouch and then my husband last night said you actually look like you're pregnant, I looked that way to me too, but I don't feel bloated I just look it lol!!! I heard that if you were pg before you'll start showing sooner, but my longest pg was 10 weeks so that can't be right. Is it possible to bloat and not know it? Anyway have a good day everyone!!
