Loss and pregnancy

I have recently suffered a 2nd miscarriage about 2 weeks ago... I'm wondering how many women have gone through the same? What their journey was like over coming the insecurities? Was anyone able to bring their next pregnancy successfully to term? Were you able to determine the cause? Anyone with a similar experience as mine please let me know... I have so many questions.

With my d and c I bled for 2 straight weeks, 2nd was a natural and I only bled for about a week. I have heard though that some women bleed lightly for 2-4 weeks. You can always just give the doctor a call and ask over the phone, that's what they are there for! As far as whether or not it's your period, guess that really depends on what your cycles are like, personally I think you are still just bleeding from the miscarriage. If you are worried about it though def call your doc just to make sure it's okay that you are still bleeding, maybe they can reassure you more! Sorry I couldn't be more help.

I was afraid to do a D&C because of my own personal fear of scarring and just lowering my chances.
I have officially miscarried on November 8th, it is now the 28th (2 weeks and 6 days) and i'm still bleeding!!!!!!!!!!! the bleeding has definitely gotten lighter, no pain at all, no clotting, at one point it seemed like it went away but then came back the next day!! I don't know if it's my menstruation or not and I don't have a doctors appointment till this Thursday. Any advice?

I had an early miscarriage and D&C at 10 weeks and then went to miscarry agian 2 months later at 5 weeks. I am now 38 weeks 5 days pregnant with a baby girl!! I did okay it with my doctor to take baby aspirin for the first 35 weeks of pregnancy, I don't know if it helped or not or if I really even needed it but it made me feel a little more impowered. I never got over the insecurity either, even now I still get scared and just want to have her. I have a week and 2 days left to go if she comes on time and yeah it takes a lot of praying and a lot of faith and a lot of tears and major freak outs and a lot of moments when you just know you're going to lose this baby too...only to go on another day, another week, another month...It does get a little easier the further along you get, but the fear never completly vanishes. Good luck

I did try a few things but I can't say for sure what made the difference. I ate pineapple at the time of implanation..I read it helps..I swear I ate 2 pineapple in 2 days.  I also started taking a vitamin B suplememnt prior to getting pregnant. It was just one I bought from walmart thats has all the vitamin b's instead of just taking folic acid.  I also quit smoking completely in Jan with my prior pregnancies I quit when I found out but this time I had already quit months before. I also started taking baby asprin when I found out...I stopped that quickly though because I had bleed a few weeks in and asprin is a blood thinner. I thought surely I was losing this baby too. All that coupled with alot of praying.

Thank you so much for responding to my post and I am also sorry you had to go through the same. I can't imagine how nervous you must be, I'm just nervous thinking about trying again. Although this is only my 2nd loss they have suggested I go to genetics counselling with my husband, that should make things better but I'm so nervous and trying to put it off. They haven't nor do they know the cause but all they can tell me is that miscarriage in the 1st trimester is usually b/c of abnormality in the babies chromosomes. You are the second woman I read about on this site that has suffered 2 losses and is now successfully bringing her pregnancy to term. I hope that this is just an unfortunate experience for me and that I have luck the 3rd time around. Did you do anything differently with this pregnancy? Anything to ensure it is successful this time around?

I am sorry for your losses...I know the pain all to well.  I had two early miscarriages and I am now almost 29 weeks pregnant. As far as the insecurities I still have them... I almost flipped out and went to L&D tonight because he wasn't moving enough the last couple of days. But they never determined the cause of my losses..of course they didn't really try to figure it out. My dr said they will not do any tests until you have 3 miscarriages. Feel free to ask me any questions...I have done alot of research on pregnancy loss.
