Starting baby aspirin to prepare for TTC...who else has?

I'm going to start one 81mg baby aspirin per day with my prenatal, and I was wondering who else has done it and what results you had.  Did it help?  Did it make anything worse?

Seems like the most common consensus, even among my doctors, is that they can't prove yet that it helps, but they concur that it usually won't hurt.

I know there are many older posts on here about it, but I was wondering, among the current group of ladies, if ya did it and how it worked for you?

Thank you for your feedback and time.  It is much appreciated.  Hugs and SSBD.

Darn, here I was hoping for some funny tales of condom usage!  ;-)  Just kidding.

That's great news about not needing to wait for 4 months!

My OB's office is big on suggesting the fish oil as well-  I take that and my prenatal. (no baby aspirin yet).

I have been doing baby aspirin for a while (not to mention a bunch of other stuff).  So far no luck.  Sure we get pregnant plenty, but I cannot keep it beyond five weeks for some reason.  My RE tells me the same thing, that it hasn't been proven to help however it couldn't hurt so let's throw it in the mix just to cover all our bases.  I will definitely continue using it.

Good Luck!

I have been taking it every month since our M/C back in August.  It hasn't help us conceive; however, I heard it can help once you are pregnant.  Like you said, Dr.s claim it won't hurt, so I will continue to take it until we conceive and throught the first trimester at least.  Good luck and SSBD!!

Yay on getting the green light. My OB told me to wait one cycle but it was only for determining concecption but if it happened before a cycle that an ultrasound could figure it out for us. So i'm sending you lots of baby dust and prayers....

ive stated taking baby aspirin... i dont see the harm in trying it.

i not long had some blood work done and everything was excellent except my MCH was slightly elevated. i did some research on it and all I could find it that if your MCH is high that means bad oxygen flow (low MCH would mean anemia), so i guess if baby aspirin helps oxygen flow to organs then its worth me taking it!

Yea, my midwife just says I can take it...she isn't concerned that it will worsen things but can't promise it will help.  The one thing that she agrees with is that it increases blood flow in general, also to the ovaries and uterus.  Increased blood flow to any organ is always a good thing, so it could potentially benefit the ovaries and help with the uterine lining.  We are quite sure I don't have any clotting disorders since I didn't have any issues with my previous babies and had healthy pregnancies.  I also started on fish oil.  She said it was great to take because of the DHA, also there are some studies that show that it could possibly help prevent miscarriages.  So....prenatals, fish oil, and one baby aspirin...that's my TTC Cocktail!

Oh, and she said I don't have to wait 4 cycles!  Excited!  She said just to wait one so that I know that everything is working ok again.  And she said if I get pregnant before AF, that's ok, but it would just be better.  She took pressure off for sure!  I will be super careful this month, and then just not try but not prevent for the next few months.

I agree that most dr's will say it won't hurt, but can't confirm that it helps.  I do know that if you have a blood clotting problem causing a m/c that is the first thing they suggest.

I only tried it for one cycle, with no success.  I am continually tempted to try it again . . .
