When did you find out the gender of your baby

I was just wondering how early you all found out what you were having?

So far I have had an us at 7weeks and one at 11 weeks but I only got the one at 11 because she couldn't find the heart with the hand held little heart monitor. lol so I guess a part of ne expects an us everytime I go lol my drs have several rooms with us machines and they seem to give them out freely so I am crossing my fingers that I get to find out early so I have more time to prepare and shop.

I found out around 19 weeks!

Keep in mind....I view the "20 week ultrasound" as the last big surprise until the baby is born.  I am glad I waited until 19 weeks since I was able to spend so much time seeing the baby.  THe ultrasound was about 45 minutes long and I really got to see every part of the baby including the sex.  I got a DVD of the baby to share with my family which was great.  I think waiting until 19 weeks was a good decision for me simply so I could spend more time watching my little one on the screen.  I know waiting is painful and you feel like you are never going to get to that half way point but now that I know what I am having all surprises are now over and now the 20 week wait for my little one will be eternal.  GOod luck to you.

They waited until 20 weeks for my u/s.  I think that is also because they can get a better view of other organs etc...I mean, lets face it they really aren't doing the u/s so they can figure out if it's a boy or girl...lol...it's just the perk! :)  They will look at the chambers of the heart and the vessels, stomache, kidneys, etc...  

Can't wait to find out what you and Bridgette are having!!! :)

My what to expect when expecting said that by week 14 you can tell via us... If the baby's not difficult lol I should be about 15 weeks at my next appt but I'm not sure if they will do another us at this appt. I guess compared to all of you this would be rather early to find out.

I found out one day shy of 19 weeks.  Try to drink something like orange juice or chocolate milk to get that little one moving.  I drank some juice before I left for the U/S and the baby still remained sleeping for the first 20 minutes of the U/S then the juice kicked in and tada....a boy!

I've heard 15 weeks is about when some mothers find out if there having an ultrasound around then.  Most dr's wait until 20 weeks to do a gender ultrasound.  We tried at 21 weeks and couldn't get a good shot, so at 25 weeks we finally found out.

around 16 weeks for me... when i had an ultrasound at the specialist. he wasn't shy at all!!!!!
