BABY DUST 11

Well things are good with me. I can feel my little girl moving around all the time and its getting stronger and stronger everyday. Hearburn has been extremely bad the last few weeks, I get it alll the time and from everything. I have noticed I have been very easily annoyed in the last few weeks.........and hubby would agree. I just feel irratable so dont worry Joyce you are not the only one. Seems like at night my stomach hurts, like the skin maybe. I think after a day of eating and a bit of growing it just seems to hurt a bit at night, sleeping is hard b/c I cant get comfortable.
Sounds like alot of complaining but really I am doing well, just a few complaints. I am enjoying some aspects of being pregnant, like feeling her kick and people commenting on my belly. We bought a stroller and car seat the other day and it was pretty exciting, the hubby was rolling around the store with it. He was excited about it so that makes me excited. We had a 3D ultrasound last week and are going back to finish the DVD tomorow, they want to get more of her moving and coke does not make her move. I am thinking ice cream. I'lll post more pics after!

thanks for the new thread the other was getting a little long.  hkenny i have only picked up a few things and although i was planning on using my tax refund to purchase all the big stuff....unfortunately circumstances have come up where that is not gonna happen...hopefully IF we get a stimulus this year we can get anything that we havent been able to get from other organizations.  this is some crazy stuff with this new recession and unemployment rates. i really hope that this new president can pull us out of this **** pile that the "Bushes" have gotten us into. (just my opinion)

anyhow didnt mean to get into a political topic as i HATE politics...lol
i wish we had the money and the facility close by to get a 3d/4d u/s but that is just not gonna happen either, i just hope that they can get some really good pics this time...the last tech was just a nudge...lol

i will keep posted as often as possible and hopefully we see very healthy babies being born in the coming months...=)

Hey girls.  

Yes, thanks for starting the new thread.  

At my OB appointment yesterday, I was not effaced or dialated at all.  :)  Fine with me, I'm only 36 1/2 weeks right now.  The baby is head down, but she said she could bounce his head :D  I thought that was funny, as I could not feel it when she did the internal.  I will find out at my next appt if I have beta strep or not, (next monday).  
I also have  a sinus infection!!!!!!!!!  So I'm on antibiotics for that, as well as that UTI they found when I went to L&D on Friday.  haha.  
But yeah, I think it will probley be a couple of weeks at least before Daniel comes (although his timetable is probably completely different than mine...but really a couple weeks isn't too far away!).

How is everyone else doing????? :)

WOW they havent told you if your Group B Strep + yet or not? I knew at like 32 weeks I think , maybe even earlier.....Thats so odd cause if you were to go into labor anytime you would think you'd need to know....Weird......Hopefully your not , but if you are it isnt that bad , I didnt even really notice the IV while I was in labor really , it only sucked the next day when I had to get another one in my other hand lol......I cant believe you are already at 36 weeks! Thats so crazy! Im sooo excited for you! Cant wait to see pics of baby Daniel!

katebud and keeks-i didn't find out i was negative for groupbstrep till i was 40 weeks!  they initially took the test at 36 weeks but lost it!!!  maybe they take it earlier in canada.

joyce-i hope we get that stimulus package!!!!!!  i hate politics too.

hkenny-it makes me feel warm and fuzzy thinking about your baby girl moving in your tummy.  i miss being pregnant and the anticipation of it all sooooo much!!

skye is doing well, sleeping better but still getting up 1-2x a night.  she is such a happy girl and i love her to pieces!!!   i miss her when i am not with her for more than 10 minutes!  i don't think i will ever be able to lead a "normal" life again! ;-)

krissyy....that is sooo true, once you have children whether it be 1 or 4 it is crazy how much they mean to you, although as they get older THEY will think differantly...lol

this baby is moving SOOOO much now, not a day in the last 2 weeks have gone by where i dont feel SOME movements and mostly it seems like it is kickboxing my bladder and boy does that hurt.  i think that my hernia is getting worst as if i am up moving too much it HURTS on the right side and way low (which is where baby likes to hang out) it gets a little better when i wear my binder but then baby must feel squished cause then he/she is kicking me everywhere.....i have a feeling that even if the doctor doesnt put me on bed rest then i will end up putting myself there....3 hours up 3 hours down, so on and so forth.....as long as baby is moving and active i am happy.  roughly 6 days until my OB appt and i am hoping that when/if they do the quick u/s that i was told they were gonna do that they will be able to see gender....i hate not being able to say he or she.....i am at the point that i really dont care if it is a boy or girl....i just want to KNOW

went to wallyworld today....lol bf HAD to buy a pair of jeans.....hmmm jeans what are those, pants with buttons and zippers, not sure i remember THOSE...lol
anyhow so i bought a big bag of size 1 diapers, a pack of wipes and some baby bath stuff (powder, shampoo, baby wash and lotion) it is starting to get real close and i dont want this baby to get here and us have NOTHING....sooo i guess a little here and a little there is what we are gonna have to do.

as for the larger things, there is a place up here that is like a pregnancy resource center....you do little "homework" assignments and stuff and get "mart money" lol....if you collect enough you can get diapers, wipes...stuff for baby but you can also get furniture and stuff if they have it...all for just attending some meetings and such.  i would say a good deal...lmao.  and alot of the stuff is new, and if it gets to the point that they dont have it and you NEED it immediately then they have a account that is for EMERGENCIES and they will go out and buy the crib, bassinet, ect... so anyhow that is my plan ... we are hoping to move soon but just dont see that happening. i HATE this area but i guess not much can be done about that. anyhow sorry for going on and on it has just been a very BAD week. but from what i can tell baby is doing great (if you can go by the movements) and so i feel blessed in that anyhow.

I Don't know if I was + for the groub b strep either, I don't think any one told me. But, with both labors I Had the IV in the arm does that mean I Was +? And what is the strep thing anyway?

I cannot believe how big Angel has gotten since she was born it is crazy how fast they grow, it takes forever to get pregnant it seems, but fast for them to grow. SHe is very demanding and requires lots of attention and if she doesn't then its not happy around here. YOu can tell she is a girl, my boys are starting to refuse nap time during the day which *****, because if they don't nap then they are cranky as hell which also *****. I

I still haven't bought a crib yet, and my baby is already here. But, that is because she is sleeping in our room right now we bought a fancy play pen that has a change table on it, a basinet type thing, a music and vibrator thing, and what not. She doesn't even use the thing any way, she sleeps in her bouncy seat beside me on my side of the bed. She won't sleep in her own bed, but that is okay its easy wehn she wakes up in the middle of the night I Just got to roll over and look down. But, she only wakes up once. Mind you it is alot cheaper ot have one at a time, then it is to have two, FOrmula, diapers and wipes all last longer.

Katebud- your getting real close so that is awesome. I am sure you are getting anxious and excited. I know I Was, and then when my due date came I was sad that I Was still pregnant and wanted to be done, but I only went 2 hours past my due date. I bet those movements are so much stronger now.

Hkenny- how was your 3d ultra sound when you went back to finish the cd? SHe was never cooperative enough for those things, or wait no it was the placenta that got in the way so they could not do a clear picture.

Krissyy- I totally understand you on not being able to stand being away from the kids for a certain amount of time, lol but trust me it is a great treat sometimes to have those breaks. I know I take twice a week to go to the gym with my mom, because it is so nice. MInd you I miss Angel like crazy and think about her so much, the boys I am used to leaving them at home or with a babysitter.

Joyce- I am sorry to hear that your hernia is bothering you. I really don't know what that is, but it don't sound very comfortable.

I'm 37 weeks completed as of yesterday, whoo-hoo!  
Went to a semi-formal for my husband's work tonight (he works at a hospital) and ate too much cheesecake.  I liked meeting all the people he works with whom have been asking about me.  It was a lot of fun to be the center of attention and to feel like I was looking decent.  I think this is my last hurrah for that, probably for the rest of my life ;)  

I am sorry Joyce that your hernia hurts!  THat really *****.  Has your belly button popped yet?  are you 26 weeks now??  Sorry, I don't remember the exact place you are at!  You are right though, it won't be long...  My last 10 weeks sped (and are speeding) by.  

Krissyy- I love the way you talk about your little girl.  I can really feel your love for her though your words.  :)  I am looking forward so much to falling even more in love with my son and as a by product, my husband as well.  I cannot wait to see all of his reactions to Daniel, as he is so excited to meet him, cuddle and hold him.  

Yeah, I'll find out in a day or so if I'm group B positive or not...something tells me I am going to be... I think that is my mind just preparing me for the worst, so I'm not disappointed if I am.  :P  Even though it's a very natural thing to have the bacteria I know.

i just went into my 23rd week and no my belly button hasnt popped...not sure if it will, it never did with my other kids so i am not sure if it will for this one or not. but it has gotten a little shallower. i am wayyy overweight anyhow and have so much excess fat and skin from being overweight and prior pregnancies. plus excess hanging skin from being 313 may 04 and getting down to 222 jan 07.  i had gained a little bit from there but not much (20 lbs i think in 2 yrs) i have only gained about 15-20 total so far...feeling baby move everyday several times a day. this morning as i was laying in bed there was alot of steady "bumps" i think baby had hiccups cause is was constant and steady...

a hernia is a hole in your muscle tissue (with me it is at the c-section scar) that allows intestine to pass through causing a bulge. it is normally not painful but with my growing uterus i think that when i do too much standing and walking it pulls or pushes on that muscle wall and if it is NOT tearing it more then it is straining that muscle causing severe discomfort. so i am trying to not do too much and to wear my abdominal binder as much as possible. it holds the hernia in so that it doesnt push out on that abdominal wall. it really isnt as complicated as it probably sounds.

my stress level does not seem to be going down much, bf and dd seem to still be arguing alot and that makes me feel like a yo yo and being pulled between the two of them, most of it is over stupid stuff that i just brush off....insignificant things.  and he gets after my boys over silly things too. he doesnt like how they "treat" each other with the bickering and such. he grew up basically as a only child and therefore doesnt realize that THAT is what sibling DO. whether it is right or wrong siblings torment and torture and pick on each other. if they treated each other with "respect" and such all the time i would truly be worried that something is wrong with them.....lol

i will be doing glucose test on wednesday and they are SUPPOSE to be doing a u/s as well.  i hope that the doc i saw last month make a comment in my records about it, cause i am seeing another doc in the practice and if he didnt put something in my record about it then the other doc wont know to do it....lol

Hi Ladies, I also posted this in the other forum I frequent, Feb babies '09... :)  so you can see it there too.  

I'm currently 37 weeks and 5 days pregnant.

I've been having crazy dreams about having my baby lately.  Also, been having tons of bm's the past 4 days (gross, I know).  And this morning in the shower I lost part (I think it was just part) of my mucous plug.  It looked like a huge snotwad.  heh :P
Last night I was so stressed out at work, and then one of my "friends" decided it would be good to start some stuff with me over the phone even though I had nothing to do with what she was b*tching about and she was blaming me... and then I ended up yelling at her to get her to leave me alone, which I NEVER do with my friends (I am very anti-drama and if it's brought to me, I usually shut it down asap).  :(  gotta love that.  I was having contractions most of the evening/night, and her phone call made them about 10x's worse.  

At my appointment on Monday, the OB said my baby was engaged and my cervix was very soft and favorable.  Not dialated or effaced, but getting ready for the big show.  So that encouraged me, b/c just the week before she was able to bounce Daniel's head up and down, lol.  

I just hope that everyone else is doing better than me.  I'm very cranky and wish I wasn't... It would be nice to be in control of my actual emotions and pick and choose which ones I would like to have today (I know I can control my reactions, which is what I'm trying to do for everyone else's sake).  

How many of you other ladies lost their mucous plug days/weeks before delivery?  I know it can regenerate, but I'm hoping very much for my baby to come this weekend when I'm at the beginning of 38 weeks...starting to get antsy.

apparently they are gonna wait for my 1hr glucose test until next month and then i will go every 2 weeks from there.

i am trying to get the doctors to take baby 3 extra days early (at 10 days early) and they are having a hard time with that idea....something about babies having problems if born before 39 weeks via c-section.  idk but it is gonna stink if my daughter has to go to summer school to do her exams because they dont want to put it for the prior weekend. i just dont know, but will have to talk to the hospital board i guess.... might be the only way, the doc i saw today said that it is the hospital who makes those decisions not so much the doctors anymore.

Hkenny- that is the problem.  She doesn't think at all about anyone else's situations, and when she latches onto something to get up in arms about, she doesn't let go either.  So you basically have to end the conversation on a bad note, b/c there is no way this girl lets you end it gracefully when she is being a pisser.

katebud- thanks....according to what i found out today from my 18 wk 3 day u/s....this is not gonna be a real little bitty baby...girl or otherwise. at 18 wk 3 days she was measured at weighing around 11oz.... at that point according to all i have read she should have only been about 8oz....soooo unless she had just had a heck of a growth spurt shortly before the u/s this is gonna be another 8 pounder i think....lol (my 14 yr old daughter...was 8lb 8oz)

help i was ttc, then  dh said we should wait a lil longer...... well now i am worried i am.... but thinking it might be all in my head bc i wanted a lil one so bad. I have had odd symptoms and nto sure what to think about them.  i was queasy all weekend and all of a sudden my  lips on my face swell no allergy i know 0f went to a dr to xray my nose and teeth and no problems there..... and as of yesterday my dyed red hair went flat dry and blonde....  a few others but i am worred it is in my head, dizzyness, discharge, and bra feels very tight... sorry for the TMI but i do not know what to do....

katebud-that mucous plug drove me CRAZY!!!  i lost mine 2xs.  after the first time, it regenerated...ithink the same thing happened to keeks.  then the second time, it was a huge hunk.  you are so very close!!  and just wait, you will not believe that it is possible to love someone as much as you will love daniel.  it really is the most beautiful thing ever.  soon we will all be enjoying your birthing story and beautiful pictures :-)

jamie-that is great you get to the gym 2xs a week!  i take the winter off ;-)  i will resume working out/running april 1 when it is warm again.  i am excited to break in my baby jogger!!

no major updates here.  i am having the baby itch to start #2 but i think we are going to wait till my husband get more settled into his new job (financially) and maybe till skye is just a little bit older.  she still gets up 1-2xs a night, but is sleeping better overall.

Katebud ~ Yep I lost mine twice.....Once at like 35 weeks & then again the day I went into labor , both times it was a big gross mucousy wad of ickyness lol.....I was like 50% effaced at 34 weeks with a soft cervix & I held out to 39 weeks , you'd be suprised how long it can take even when everything seems to be in place LOL.....I swear every woman gets ansy & wants the baby out by 36 weeks , its kinda the breaking point LOL....It will all be fine dont worry even if you do go past 40 weeks it will all be okay!.....Just pray it happens on your own & you dont have to be induced.....I wish I could have been happier the last few weeks , but it was impossible , its the weirdest thing to have no control over how you feel towards the end!.....Daniel will be here before you know it hun! :) Cant wait to see pics!

Quick Upate ~ Were moving on the 20th so if im MIA for a while thats why.....Things are hectic , were moving , Rob goes back to work next month which leaves me for 28 days alone for the 1st time with Rylen....Im nervous & really sad for him to go , Rylen loves him to pieces & I know even at this age its gonna be hard on him :(......Rylen just got his 2nd set of shots too , poor little bum , he didnt cry for the 1st shot , but the 2nd & 3rd he cried a bit......I felt so bad :(......I have to go on some med ( cant member the name ) for my iron levels , im anemic now since Rylen was born .....I guess thats part of why I havent been myself , plus I had to swtich my birth control cause it wasnt helping & now im starting to think I have a bit of post pardom (sp) but it might improve once my iron levels do & with this new birth control....Anyways I gotta give Rylen a bath & such , Hope everyone is doing good & i'll try to keep in touch over the moving time!

the pic ihave of her girl parts is not a very good pic....they did the u/s on a very old machine and the pic is really grainy. so i am not even putting the pic up...lol

was sick as a dog yesterday, throwing up so much i ended up with dry heaves.... but i feel much better today. this lil girl thinks there is a circus in there or something feels like she is bouncing back and forth from hip to hip....lol

i am 24 weeks today. been trying to figure out WHEN i will be having my c-section and apparently because of the NEW ENGLAND medical journal or some such BS my hospital wont do sections before 39 weeks.  my due date is june 7...even though when my anomaly u/s was done it showed a due date of May 30th. they are not changing it.  and so i have a choice of Mon June1 or Fri June 5.  they refuse to take her Fri May 29th.  even though i have had 2 babies born at 10 days early that were just fine.  needless to say i am not too happy about it. and my youngest son's father is being a butt not wanting to let me heal before i have to have my son to him for summer break (june 6th)..... maybe i should have the surgery on the 5th just so that he HAS to wait...lmao

i have heard that breastfeeding will stop your cycle for awhile...but since i have really never nursed idk...but i think it is pretty common.

jamie, i haven't gotten my period and i am still breastfeeding.  skye is 5 months old...no period since nov07 before i got pregnant! i'm loving it!!!  my friend who is also breastfeeding said she didn't get her period till after she stopped with her first child.  my dr. said that is common.

Oh I am sorry Ladies!  I'm still here, pregnant at 38 weeks and 5 days.  I'll be 39 weeks on Friday!!!  :D  And Friday is also my first day of FMLA leave....so I'm hoping to go into labor tomorrow night, as I don't want to be baby-less for too much of my leave.  I want as much time as possible with Daniel!!!!

At my Monday appointment, I was not effaced and a finger tip dialated at most..  So how did I lose a huge chunk of MP if I'm not effaced?  I have no idea how that stuff works.  I'm starting to have a lot more pelvic pain, but it really comes and goes.  I wish that the pain would just stay, as it would hopefully mean stuff is happening.  Like, I have pain, but it doesn't hurt me, does that make sense?  I think years and years of h*llish menstrual cycles and sever cramps makes my pain tolerance down there a bit more...I hope.  ;)

I love you all- you've been amazingly supportive and my pregnancy would not have been the same positive expirience w/o having you girls to talk with and share concerns.
I really hope to have fun stuff to report after the weekend.  I read our threads constantly, but dont' always know what to say.   Just so you know, I'm always around once every day or two.  :)

krissyy--wow doesnt seem like skye (and rylen) are 5 mos old already... i am almost 25 weeks (is that 6 mos already?) and i think it is between 26-28 weeks to go into 3rd trimester...right?  anyhow i am getting there, and realised today while getting dressed and noticed how HUGE i am.... i am not gaining a whole lot, i think about 20 lbs total so far. 3 weeks til my next appt...lol..and then they will put me to every 2 weeks...wow it is going by sooo fast.  lots of tight feelings in belly mainly when i am stressed....are those bh contractions?

katebud...omg cant believe that  you are soooo close... come on daniel we want to see you...lol.  hope to hear some really good news soon hun.

Hey GIrls,

Sounds like you all are doing good, so that is good.

MY one son now tells me when he needs to go poop so he can do it in the potty, but he won't tell me when he needs to pee... I Won't complain rather change pee diapers then poopy diapers. But, I HAVE Heard its usually the other way around. He will go pee in the potty if I put him on every 45 minutes, and when he goes poop he will pee as well, and he gets so proud of himself he tries to force himself to pee again and again.... looks pretty painful. My other one isn't as caught up to the whole potty thing yet, but once he sees his brother do it a few times he will catch on.
SO, tomorrow I am not looking forward to Angel has her 2 month shots tomorrow, its such a sad day not only for the poking part, but for the after part because you never know how they will react to it, my boys never got sleep from it, they usually got cranky and hard to deal with. Maybe she will be the opposite.

Katebud- you are super close and I am very excited to see pictures and hear about your birthing story.

Krissyy- thanks, I was wondering about that and I checked on google and I Found out there that it is common. I Don't nurse often so I Will probably get my period sometime. But, I am not sure if I will have to change BC then, because mine is for nursing so the pills are all teh same color, my other one for before I GOT pregnant had blue pills and then the green sugar pills for when I was on my period.

Hey Ladies,

just wondering if any one you had pelvic pain at this stage (28 weeks) its on the bone right where my pubic hair is, it flippin hurts!! I read in my book this can happen but man I didnt expect it to be this painful.
My glucose test came back fine and I go in on tuesday for my RH shot. Other than the pelvic pain and of course heartburn I am doing alright. :)

Jamie, how did Angel's shots go? that is one thing i am not looking forward to, but at least when they are babies you can hold them and the only issue is that you feel bad for them. right now 2 out of 3 of my kids need booster shots but refuse to get them. and they wont let you hold down 12 and 14 yr old as they are afraid someone is gonna get hurt (hit or kicked)
hkenny, i have not dealt with pelvic pain yet..but then again today is the first day of week 25 sooo i am not quite there yet...lol  hope it passes soon dear

Oh, they went good. She cried poor girl, and all yesterday she slept, now today she is like the rest of my kids and refuses to sleep and yet really needs to because she is so tired. I am super tired too!!! She now weighs 10 pounds and is 22 inches long so that is good.

hkenny, I do believe I had some pelvic pains.  I am starting to get them back now, but really wish they were consistent!!!!!  I had more pain on the left side of my back, honestly though.

I have 6 days left!!!  Now if only I had more symptoms of immanent labor.  Is a very down/bad mood a sign?  :P  lol  I am super grouchy today and wish I wasn't...but hoping it's a sign of a hormonal shift.

hkenny....it has been so long, i dont remember how my kids really reacted to shots...but i always gave them a dose of baby tylenol about a hour before the appt. and i THINK it helped.

katebud...from all i have read, watch real close to the backache and restlessness. i think that if consistant grouchiness is a issue that i would google it and see if it IS a sign of labor or not. since i have never gone into labor on my own, i really dont know what to tell you to help...lol...hopefully daniel is not one of these baby's that are 2 weeks overdue... i know i know..bite my tongue.

Joyce- my boys got cranky from the shots, but not this cranky. I gave the boys shots of advil before we would go, her I gave her some tylenol and have done so the last few days. IT appears she is teething, and her tooth had gone down, but now came back up so just hte tip where its pointy is out, so I guess that would explain her cranky times. But, my poor boys always want me to help them play, or to get them something and its hard because she is so demanding, but she sat in her bouncy seat tonight and cried for a couple of minutes while I helped them put toys away, and got them a bed time snack. IT never hurts them to cry just as long as you don't let them do it for too long. She is spoiled and rarely gets to cry for a couple of minutes, so it was something that had to be done.

Katebud- I am trying to remember what I Was like before I Was due. I was cranky, uncomfortable and constantly wondering if I Would go over due or not. I don't know what the signs of labor are other then when mine was so obvious due to my water breaking. BUt, whatever it is your feeling I am sure it is totally normal, and we all get pretty cranky near the end because that is alot of weight to be carrying.

jamie.... as much as it hurts to listen, there are times you just HAVE to let them cry. i have always been a firm believer that even very young babies and children have a bedtime, and that you can let them cry for a few minutes so they can learn to comfort themselves. it is difficult to say the least.  i had a friend awhile ago who had 3 children ages 2,1 and newborn all at the same time. and she never did the bedtime thing, so when it was time to start bedtimes they fought her every step of the way....i am pretty sure that when you start expecting children to go to bed at a decent time AFTER they have been allowed to stay up til they decide to go to bed, it is even more difficult.  sorry i know this story had really no point, and has nothing to do with your situation...lol... it still bothers me at times though, cause you DO NOT let a child that age dictate as to when they go to bed...lmao

Joyce- I Know, my boys who are 2 try to dictate their bedtimes, and will try and fight it every step of the way. They will purposely hurt themselves to see if I Will come up to see if they are okay, or they will do their high pitched scream to see if I will go and say something to them, and I let them scream and as bad as it sounds because they are just testing you and they know the limit they can push for their parents, so and Jake knows it hurts if he hits his hand or head on the wall so he doesn't do it very hard. But, the things kids do to get out of bed time, they also tried to get rid of their nap times and at 2 I still believe they need their nap times ESPECIALLY my kids. But yes Angel unfortunately has to learn to calm herself down or else she is going to expect me to carry her and rock her when she is older. She sleeps in her bouncy seat she refuses to sleep in her crib or anything, and that is something I Don't know how to get her used to.

Katebud- oh hopefully things are moving along at least a little bit.

Jamie....i would think that you could probably put the bouncy seat in the crib, to get her used to the "four walls"...lol

after a few nights you should be able to lay her in the crib without a problem, or make sure that during naps she is put to bed in the crib. or when she falls asleep in the bouncy, move her to the crib. or if she falls asleep in your arms, move her to crib....just some ideas....hope they help.

thank you, so far I have tried when she falls asleep in my arms I put her in, and she stays asleep for a few minutes and cries. Hopefully if I can stay consistent enough she will learn to sleep in her bed.

Ok I had my appointment.  Apparently Daniel is not engaged like the OB wants him to be.  So I had a CAT scan to measure my pelvis, b/c the OB is also thinking he may be getting too big.  I don't find out the measurements until tomorrow, but I will need an ultrasound anyway, probably on Wednesday or next Monday.  
So nothing is happening to my cervix, b/c there is no baby head to put pressure on it!!  :P

So I wait.  Really I'm not too concerned, I just hope I don't end up with a section (I really want that vaginal birth!)  And if he isn't born by my next Monday appt, they are wanting to induce me if it looks like he will fit down and "out"  :P

i went to Kmart last night and found a awesome deal.........for 42.00 each i got my carseat and stroller set. instead of it being ALOT for both together...it WAS a travel system, just sold seperately and much cheaper. i was thrilled.

My ob called me this morning and told me I have CPD, based on what the results were from the CAT scan.  She said 5 out of 6 of my measurements were a lot smaller than average.  So I have the option of scheduling a C-section for Thursday or waiting until my next appointment on Monday to see if anything has happened and then have a trial of (induced) labor then, which she said has a very large possibility of a c-section anyway.  
I really want to try to have this baby vaginally, but I feel like I'm on the edge of giving up, if you will, on my dream...even though it is a small possibility that it can still happen.  I do realize that having a baby is having a baby, no matter how baby arrives.  I'm just sad about the idea of giving up my plans and not even having a trial of labor.  I guess I feel that I would be happier knowing I tried and couldn't, rather than not having tried at all.  
As my plan stands now, I'm giving myself until the end of the day to decide for sure.  I'm thinking my plan may be to go ahead and schedule the section, and then try to stay uber active to see if I can "spontaneously" go into labor on my own before then.  
Please, if anyone has anything encouraging to say, help me out... either way, with the section or with waiting for a trial of induced labor.

katebud- try to stay postive about the whole thing, either way you will end up with a beauitful baby boy! I know I would feel the same as you, however no one and that includes yourself should think any differently of you should you choose to schedule the c-section. In saying that I dont think there is any reason not to try vaginally first. Its a hard choice! Did your dr give you any kinda of percentage of you being able to deliver naturally?

I think what the OB's office and I came to was that I would be ripened over night in the hospital on Monday, and then introduced to pitocin the next day to get things started to try for a vaginal delivery.  I know I will be monitored like crazy, so if something is happening with baby, we can do a c-section if it just won't work.  

I feel good about this decision and that my OB is supportive of me.  I will feel better at least having tried, I think.

Katebud-its not uncommon for women who are having their first child go over due, and their body doesn't always start their own labor, but now that I THINK about it I really don't know where that came from, totally different reason for you.
Does your doctor think your having a big baby? I Don't know too much about this, but either way like everyone else said you will have your beautiful baby boy. And I would try the being induced too!! I am afraid of c-sections, so I would totally try the vaginal way first as well. Good Luck Girl!!

Thank you ladies for your encouragement!!!  :)  The ob thinks my baby is too big for my pelvic inlet, but the inlet expands DURING labor.  :P  So that is one of the main reasons to try for a vb instead of a cs.  And plus, I really want that vb, so pray for me that I accept what needs to happen (whether that is a vb or cs)!!  :D

MY sister in law I Know she went through labor and contractions and she got up to 10cm dilated, and that is when she realized the baby was too big for her to be able to do Vaginal birth, he was only 7 pounds 10 ounces I think, but I Think she isn't able to have babies naturally her pelvic region wouldn't expand enough for baby to drop in order to come out, so hopefully that doesn't happen to you.

SO, do they have an estimate of how big he is ? Or do you have to wait till your ultra sound?

jamie...how is angel doing with crib? i got my crib, it is older and white...NOT what i wanted but only paid 50 for it...so cant really complain much. not sure what he bedding set is gonna be...will probably end up doing like i did with the others...mix and match.

i have realised that i am now in the "double digits" before this child gets here....wow.... depending on which date i choose it is like 93-99 days or something like that....it is mind boggling. lmao
