I am on CD 16 of a normally 32/33 day cycle.  Still waiting to O.  This month I am taking FertilAid, charting my BBT and using an OPK.

What about everyone else?

by princesska2, Jul 10, 2008 10:53PM
thanks keeks!! this is much better now.

Mandy i live in Melbourne australia and we dont do the registry thing and i cant see us meeting when the babies are born unfortunately for me!! we have really all become friend on this and going through a pregnancy together has been great so i hope you guys do manage to meet up after all the births.

keeks i am not doing the clsses this time - they told me not to bother. i think i am pretty in the know of what to expect before and after but i did love the classes when preg with my 1st. your first pregnancy is so different to your others as much as you love them all. and keeks you said you cant imagine anyone not liking being pregnant well i am one of them. i cant wait for it to be over and it has dragged on already for me. its just because i am so sick all the time i just want to be able to eat and have energy again so it makes it go slower. but i can def understand why some people do hate being pregnant.

well today i had a bit of a shock. i took my daughter to the swimming pol and ended up passing out. they called an ambulance but i made them cancel it cause i only passed out. they thought i might be in labour or something but i have to go off to the docs in an hour to get all checked out. sugars and blood pressure and stuff. we will see how i go. i have been feeling like i could pass out fequently for the las week or so but then i actually did so hopefully all is ok. apart from that i am still throwing up a few times a day and the kids have both had ear infections so all fun and games here. my hubby has gone to spain for 3 weeks and i miss him terribly i just dont know how you do it keeks. will he be around when the baby is born?? you are so good to be able to deal with not seeing him  for a month - i am hopeless. he has called me every day and every day i have balled my eyes out. must be pregnancy hormones too lol.

by Keeks, Jul 11, 2008 03:00AM
To: Princess
OH NO! I hope you are okay!.....Passing out is scary for sure!......I wonder if you got over-heated maybe or just didnt eat enough?.....I know I feel really faint alot when I get out of the shower ( temp change probably ) or if I do too much & dont eat right away......Hopefully they will be able to figure it out!.......Have you had your diabetes check yet?.....maybe its Anemia?......Thats so scary though!.....Im glad your okay!.......I can understand why you wouldnt like pregnancy dont worry!......I just find I know alot of women who complain about stupid stuff like "not being able to sleep on their stomachs"....or "not drinking"....like just really trival stuff , for me , I knew what I was getting into & giving up so im not about to complain!.....I think i'll be more uncomfortable after the birth lol , all gross & leaking , no reason to be fat anymore lol.....im NOT looking forward too it! haha!.........My Fiance comes home on Tuesday for good until March 09 , we are going to share the maternity leave so he can be home for a while.....I dont know how I do it honestly , especially being pregnant.....I miss him so much its horrible!......I havent cried too much this time , but I just wait all day for the minute we get to talk......We dont get to talk for long , maybe 20 minutes a day and thats interupted so its probably 5 minutes at a time , most of it online because he doesnt always have cell phone service......I know exactly how you feel so dont worry! It is really hard , and the hopeless feeling will go away as you regain your own routine but its hard......Its hard to function without that daily communication & closeness with your hubby!.........The one thing I hate right now is that we arent even allowed to have sex , we werent allowed before he left & still arent allowed , so we are also missing out one that normal intimacy we usually have as well lol........Why is your hubby in Spain for so long?.....Does he have a way home & such if you need him?.......My best advice to get through the 3 weeks is just to occupy yourself with as much as you can.....it will go by fast I promise!......Just take it easy & relax as much as possible , especially since you fainted you want to be careful you dont over-do it!........keep us updated on how your doing!!!!!!

by Jamie21, Jul 11, 2008 01:35PM
oh this is why there is no other posts on the other baby dust 4 page lol.

Where is everyone? lol I havent seen the boards this dead in a while & I dont think its a long weekend :P lol........

Rachjas ~ Sending you tons of sticky honey covered BABY DUST .....Keep us updated! :) *********************** BABY DUST**********************

Mandy ~ Thats funny you mentioned Aiden dancing to that lolli lolli song! Rylen boogies too , its hilarious , you can like see him bouncing around , it has to be really loud though for him to get going!.......I read that babies who like music are easily calmed by it once they are born , so thats kinda cool!......I know my mom said when my sister & I were little she used to put music on in the car & we were good to drive anywhere , we never cried or had tantrums in the car as long as there was music & most of the time it put us to sleep when we were babies , so hopefully Rylen is like that cause I LOVE to drive & listen to music :)

Princess ~ How ya holding up hun?.......find anything out from your doc on why you fainted?.......Been thinking about you lots!.........How are you dealing with being hubby-less?......Are you finding it a bit easier to function yet?.......Hope your doing well! :)

Jamie ~ haha , yeah the other post was taking forever to load & sometimes it wouldnt show me the most current posts so I figured it was time for a new one LOL......Hows your weather? are you having thunder storms too or is that just for Red Deer/Calgary area?

by Jamie21, Jul 13, 2008 11:03PM
To: Keeks
Yes I understand! it started to slow down for me too!!
Our weather up in Edmonton here is doing alright, we aren't getting too much of the thunderstorms and if we do its at supper time and then it passes, but I think its more red deer, airdrie, and calgary that is getting them!!
Mind you a tornoado touched down outside of airdrie the other day and crossed high way 2, I am so intrigued by those things and we just went down to waterton at the end of June and I was hoping to see a little one, but didn't!!
Anyways, so no more baby flutters for me its now actual kicking or something I feel, or when it seems to be moving around I feel it!! The little kicks or punches I feel are like little taps on the inside, kinda like how it felt wehn my boys had their hiccups when I was pregnant with them!! I mean they are not forceful kicks yet, but I know its coming, movements get stronger every week I tell yeah.

oh and about the heart beat high is a girl low is a boy, well I know a girl who is pregnant and is due in January and she has 2 girls, but they heard the heart beat and it was 170 and they said it sounds like a boy to them????....
So I am not exactly sure on the whole heart beat thing!
Before my boys were born the heart beats were 176 and that was the whole time until they were delivered that day.. So I don't know anymore! This babies is 136, mind you my boys were between 130-145 in the early stages!! Ah can't wait to confirm al lthis in august

by Keeks, Jul 14, 2008 03:31PM
To: Jamie
I dont know about the heartbeat thing either to be honest!......His was always 150-145 & I have 2 girlfriends who had girls and their's were always in the same range , yet apparently its a BOY! lol.......Who knows , thats why they have the gender assesement ultrasounds these days I guess lol :P.........I always kinda secretly wonder if they were wrong & im having a girl , but im pretty sure my monkey is a boy lol.............You chase Tornadoes?....Oh wow!......I remember being in Alberta a few summers ago ( we were in Vermillion) and they had the Vermillion Fair that weekend , and all of the sudden within seconds the thunder storm rolled in and they were trying to shut down all the rides cause of the lightening & OMG ive never heard or seen such a storm , I just remember running back to our trailer and it was insane!......I HATE Thunderstorms!........Awww thats so exciting to start feeling flutters & kicks!.........Im gonna miss that part when hes born :(.......I kinda dont want him out at times lol

Where is everyone?? This is crazy dead lol :P

by Jamie21, Jul 14, 2008 04:37PM
To: keeks
I thought I would miss the feeling of that too once my boys were born, but to be honest I never really thought about it, nor did it ever occur to me after they were born.... Maybe its becuase I was too busy to really pay any attention, or I don't know lol
I don't really chase them, but I would love to see one and not one that is where I live, I never got to see black friday when it hit Edmonton, but I was only a few days old!! Plus I never want to see one that big either, just a little one taht can't do too much damage!! I know its crazy and insane, and I'M sure I would pee myself if I ever did see one.

by princesska2, Jul 14, 2008 05:25PM
keeks - thanks for thinking of me i am doing ok. miss hubby like crazy and counting down till he gets back. and like you i hang out every day for the 10 min phone call i get from him but at least he will be back soon and i am never letting him go away again! lol he went to spain on a big wine tour as we own a vineyard it was half research and half pleasure. he has had an awesome time and i am glad for that.

my passing out has been put down to over heating and a middle ear infection OUCH! i am so miserable at the moment. i have a flu like cold and it has turned into ear infections and it is driving me crazy. i never realised how painful it was - i will now understand why my kids scream all night when they wake with one. poor things. i have been on ant biotics for 2 days now but it doesn't seem to be getting any better as is really annoying. it is like i have been swimming and have masses of water stuck in my ear. i can hear it bubbling around and i cant hear properly and it makes me dizzy. i am one unhappy camper at the moment so sorry for the whinge!

other thn that bubs is doing well. had a check up and everything is great. have another hospital visit in 2 weeks and they will set a date to induce me 2 weeks early. cant wait for that!!

hope all is well with you girls!!!!!!!!!

by katebud, Jul 17, 2008 10:23AM
So yeah, I love not having AF.  Too bad when this pregnancy is over, there will be the nasty locia.  Anyone have success with minimizing the bleeding post-partum with breast feeding?
and were you successful breastfeeding the first couple days after baby arrived?

Tomorrow I will be 8 weeks, and my baby will be the whopping size of a raspberry at some point in the next week!
My next appointment is the 28th.   I'm very excited for it, as it's my first regular appointment with the OBGYN.

by Keeks, Jul 17, 2008 12:54PM
To: Katebud
Hey Hun! :)
Glad to hear everything is going well!!!.....haha yeah not having AF is quite lovely & my doctor did said breastfeeding helps keep the bleeding down & it doesnt last that long , about a week , which ive heard from alot of people , it wont even be a concern because you will have so much else going on , a little blood wont slow ya down LOL......Im more not looking forward to all the blood you loose right after delivery! ewww lol

8 weeks wow! Its going by so fast for you too now! YAY!.....hehe dont you love how in the  beginning they compare the babies size with food LOL

Glad to hear your doing well! Just make sure to keep in touch! Seems like everyone has disappeared for the summer LOL

Quick Update ~ Well I get another ultrasound sometime this week LOL....up to # 6 now haha!......Its another one for cervical length ....even though its still a 45 minute ultrasound cause they check everything just in case....and then I see my doctor again next Thursday & being referred back to the specalist.....Apparently my cervix is the shortest its been so we'll see what happens ......He really really wants out apparently ......But other than that , all is well :) Hope everyone is doing good! Hope to hear updates soon! :)

by Jamie21, Jul 17, 2008 02:29PM
To: All
Yeah after my twins were born I did not like the bleeding, and it wasn't a little bit of blood either!!
They also ask you to watch out for clotting, which doesn't normally happen to much!!
But, I am not looking forward to the bleeding it lasted about 3 weeks for me, and mind you, technically your supposed to wait a while after baby is born to have sex again as well. Something about causing infection or ruining the healing process, or espeically since I heard your more fertile after baby is born.

by Cristina_in_NYC, Jul 17, 2008 02:32PM
AF arrived today for me.  Here's hoping the second cycle is more successful.

by princesska2, Jul 17, 2008 08:21PM
hey there
the bleeding for me wasnt too bad and i didnt breastfeed. it lasted about 2 weeks but the last weeks was hardly flowing at all so that was good. the first few days are the worst but then you are stuck in hospital and on a high from new bub so you dont notice it. i tried for 6 weeks to feed my first and only a week for my second. it is very very hard and not just something that happens like everyone thinks. it was harder for me as i have flat nipples so hard for bubs to latch on. with my second because she didnt latch on properly my milk failed to come in and i had to stop. i hope you girls have a lot more success than i do and support from nurses and so forth.
keeks i hope your cervix hangs in a bit longer for you! how cool having ultra sounds all the time. i wish i could lol.
katebud i hope things continue to go well for you. it does seem to be flying by hey! i hope you are not too sick and if you are it passes soon. are you going to find out the sex of your baby??
has anyone heard from krissyy or mandy lately???

by Jamie21, Jul 18, 2008 09:10AM
Yeah I had no success at breastfeeding either, but the thought of breastfeeding twins is just insane . Plus the nurses to me really are disencouraging, because I feel they really push breastfeeding on you, and I remember with my boys they were my first babies, and when I first had to breastfeed them, they gave me both at the same time and were just really forceful with it etc, plus I'm personally not a big fan of breastfeeding I don't know why. Plus my babies wouldn't latch on, I don't have the right kind of nipples haha to breastfeed with, they actually had to give me a nipple shield so that it was easier for baby, but it didn't work plus I didn't produce enough milk.

by katebud, Jul 18, 2008 11:22AM
Jamie and Princesska,
I am sorry to hear about the mean nurses!  I think I am for sure going to put it in my birthplan that I want someone who is actually sensitive. lol.  Maybe I'll have my mom help me, or my SIL   :P  haha.  She will be nursing her baby by that time still, I think.  :)  I hope my nipples are good.  My mother was able to nurse us 4 children, so hopefully that's an indication that I'll be able to do it too.
I'm not actually that sick...haven't thrown up at all, but have indigestion and nausea with not eating or eating certain foods.  Like, I absolutely loved hamburger anything at first, and now I almost can't stand it, a mere week later.  It gives me heartburn now, and we even get the 93% lean stuff and cook the fat out of it!  Oh well.  :P

and yes,
Mandy, Krissyy, where are you ladies?  :)

by Jamie21, Jul 20, 2008 01:47AM
yay almost 19weeks and posted my new belly photo lol

by krissyy, Jul 22, 2008 12:34PM
here i am!!  sorry girls, i feel like i've been so busy!  nursery finished and i will post pictures soon!

hey, where is everyone from?  i wish we could all meet up after babies but i think we live so far!  like not even in the same country!  i live in us, east coast--maryland.  you know, i remember reading somewhere that medhelp has reunions annually for everyone to meet.  they are held in different locations all around.

mandy-you are so sweet to think of us!  yes, i registered at babiesrus.  where did you register?  are you finished your nursery?

anyone have showers yet?  my family/friends and hubby's family doing separate showers because we both have big families and they live in different states.  my family/friends was june 21.  my husband's family will be aug. 3.

by princesska2, Jul 22, 2008 08:14PM
we dont really do baby showers here in australia but it sounds like a lot of fun. hope all of yours go well. my nirsery is all done thank god cause the last few weeks i have been feeling so **** i have done nothing but sit on the couch. i am finding it really hard to shake this ear infection and it is making me feel yuk! i have a hospital appointment next week and will get my date to be induced if they are going to do it. fingers crossed i get a nice doctor who is sympathetic. i am excited to be getting a date tho. then count down can really begin. hubby is back from spain and all is well. it was amazing how much i missed him and good to have him back. he is still jet lagged so hopefully gets over that soon. he is more excited about the baby since getting bak as he really noticed how much my tummy grew. i am getting huge and uncomfortable and find it hard to bend down to pick up things or dry my feet after a shower. lol big fat whale i am! i am back to be tired all the time - anyone else feel like this?? back to having naps during the day to get me through much like the first trimester. krissyy how is your bump going?? keeks are you still hanging in there and keeping your legs crossed?? jamie hope you are feeling well and the twins aren't exhausting you too much. katebud is the first trimester flying for you and have you managed to avoid morning sickness? mandy where are you and i hope all is well??? talk soon girls.

Well had my doctors appointment yesterday and everything looks good, and the babies heart beat was 128 I guess the doctor said that was a good heart beat.
It is kinda different then my boys though so I wonder if even though its low there is a chance that its not a boy this time? Hmm I guess I'll have to wait for August, my husband and I are getting on edge.

Heya,
You should buck tradition and have a shower anyways!!!!!!  They are just a great excuse (if nothing else) to get together with friends and family, and eat desserts and be excited together about the new baby coming.  :D

I am happy that I am almost in my 9th week.  This week and the 7th have passed MUCH faster than the 5th and 6th.  I was thinking during them that I wanted them to get over so that I could be in the 2nd trimester soon (you know, the risks go down and such).  But I am truly enjoying being prengnant even though I do have quite a bit of nausea and heartburn, indigestion, yucky.  :)
But I know that I have it a  LOT easier than some of the other ladies on this site, and am hoping to keep it that way.
I have not thrown up at all, which is great.  :D

How is everyone else doing?  :)
and to those newly pregnant and ttc,

To: Everyone!
Hi girls!!! So sorry... I had bookmarked the baby dust 4 and didnt notice activity! Duh!!

Yes, we are registered @ Babies R Us also... We have been soooo busy! We just had the baby shower on the 19th, we did a co-ed baby shower and it was soo  much fun!! There were tons of people there, and it was HILARIOUS to watch the guys play the baby games. There was one game where the boys had to put on these old lady bras and we put water balloons in the cut out boobie part and they had to "breastfeed" the water into a cup on the ground and whoevers cup filled up faster one!! It was awesome to watch the guys do that! My man is such a good sport! He won all rounds! Hahaha. We played a bunch of games, there was one set up with diapers and a different kind of melted candy bar was in each one and you had to sniff the diaper and guess which one was in which. Omg. Too much fun!! Ryan and I both opened the presents and he was really excited to be included in the party that is usually meant for women.

Princess- Omg, that *****!! I'm so sorry you've had such a rough go around with this one. :( But it will all be worth it in the end!!

And yes, our little man LOVES music!! He bops around ... It's so cute he has favorite songs... "Lolli Lolli" is one- but he also always dances to "Proud to Be an American", "Freebird" and anything by Three Days Grace. Lol. That's my boy!!!

We had the 3D pics done...omg, he's sooooo cute. I cant tell who he looks like really the little punk would not move his arm away from his face lol he was sleeping the whole time...

Hey everyone..how is everyone doing????   I am now 34 weeks with a boy. but will be induced at 36 cause of a problem called IUGR..it is where the baby is smaller then gestational age. he will be fine..just worries me! how has everyone else been the past 5 months??

by princesska2, Jul 23, 2008 08:56PM
katebud i should prob just hold a shower it does sound like a whole lot of fun. mandy yours sounds awesome. how much laughing there must of been on the day hey! what a great way to celebrate the coming arrival of a new life. jamie that heart beat sounds really low to me however i have only had girls and it has always been around 170. so maybe you are having another boy?? ash it is great to hear from you again. it has been ages! how are you feeling? sorry to hear about your bubby probs but it all sounds like it will be ok. when they induce you that early does it have to be by cesearean or can you have him naturally. so its a little boy hey. seems like most people here are having boys except krissyy! i am still waiting to find out what mine will be and we are so excited that it will be a surprise. so does that mean you will have bubs in 2 weeks hey! i am so excited for you. please let us know how it all goes.

as for me i am doing ok. ears are still playing up but the doc says infection has gone there is just alot of fluid stuck which may take up to 6 weeks to clear. better not be that long i say! i am getting huge and uncomfortable and i am up every night at least 4 times for the toilet. anyone else same?? katebud i can sympathise with you on the heartburn. i have had it shockingly through the whole pregnancy and it is terrible. doesn't matter what i eat i always end up with it and worse when i lay down. hope it gets a bit better for you soon.

krissyy and keeks where are you??

Hey!
Sorry still kinda MIA! Were housesitting and their computer is SO slow so its almost painful just to get the page to load let alone read any replies or respond LOL.....Im bored tonite though so I thought I would sit & try to get on here

Princess ~ Glad your hubby is home! YAY! Thats gotta be a HUGE stress relief for ya!.....Thats good your ear infection went away , the fluid part ***** :( Can they not drain it at all??.....Its horrible to think thats what babies feel like when they get them :(.......Hopefully your last few weeks will be more pleasant for you!!! & you get your induction date!!......Its so weird to think were all gonna have our babies soon & it wont be pregnancy we talk about , but newborn stuff LOL......Im with Katebud , throw a shower! They are a blast!!!

Katebud ~ Awww that ***** you've started to get heartburn & stuff :( especially so early , do you notice it with any paticular or just all the time?.....I only get it when I eat citrus , well not even eat , drink I guess is more the word lol......I cant have any orange juice or like lemonaide , especially no mixed fruit juices or I throw up , its horrible.....the actual fruits are fine though , I eat alot of oranges & rasberries and things......Its really weird lol....The trick is to narrow down what makes you have heartburn & avoid it LOL....OR another good trick , take the smooth disolve tums 15 minutes before you eat something that might give you heartburn & you shouldnt , I find the smooth disolve are the ONLY ones that work almost right away......They are a lifesaver! lol

Mandy ~ Your baby shower sounds like a blast! My girlfriend did a co-ed one and it was great!.....I dont think we will though , they are mostly a "girl" thing in my family , all my aunts & cousins & stuff & we wait until the baby is about 3-4 weeks old so that you can show him/her off and what not.....We dont really play games either , just sit around and talk , laugh & eat lots of food LOL......They are fun in their own special way though!......What all did you get for gifts? tons im sure?.......

Krissy ~ I cant wait to see pics of the nursery! Sounds like you guys have been busy!!......Hows work going for you? still doing okay?.....I would love to do a meet up  but yeah it might be hard , I know Jamie & I are from Canada , and Princess from Down Under so I dont know where would be considered "common ground" to meet lol.....We could always attempt to plan something one day though!........Seems like your still the only one with a little girl , except maybe Princess!......How funny out of all of us only one maybe two girls LOL

Jamie ~ Kinda sounds like a boys heartbeat I think , I think most boys are low .....but really who knows , August isnt too much farther! I can only imagine how ansy your getting! hehe!......I cant wait for you to find out! Its almost more exciting when its someone else lol

Ash ~ WOW its great to hear from you! It has been a long time for sure!.....Sorry to hear about having to be induced , but you'll be FINE!.....at 36 weeks there is almost zero risk to the baby being born then except maybe the use of a feeding tube for a few days , but its nothing to stress over!....He'll be cute & little......They are thinking my little boy might come early too so he might have a little friend hehe!......Make sure to keep in touch! Any names picked out yet for him??

Okay , quick update now LOL.......I have a doctors appt tommorow & find out when I will see the specalist again , Ultrasound on Friday and I guess go from there......I dont know what the deal is but I know his head is still low because I can feel it lol , it hurts to walk alot of the time & just by his movements I can tell hes down low.....Still slowly losing my mucous plug , which I think is a sign it isnt growing back so who knows with that one as well .....my feet swelled suddenly & my legs which Im sure is normal , but its PAINFUL! I didnt exepct it to be at all , but omg , it feels like my feet & ankles are bruised and it just aches all the time , I cant move my toes half the time or anything.....My Fiance finally understands now why im always whining about my stomach hurting & not being able to bend over , he witness our lovely little boy punching me in the stomach for a good 20 minutes the other morning.....so hes being super nice now that he knows exactly what im going through LOL.......Other than that we arent doing much , been going fishing alot & trying to get things organized while not being at our house for 10 days :(......Now theres talk of my in-laws coming out in August from Nova Scotia , STRESSED about that , last thing I need is having to worry about other people & entertaining , plus they would have to sleep in Rylens room & I DO NOT want to have to re-organize the nursery & I love my in-laws to pieces but its just NOT a good time , and I KNOW his mom will not let me do ANYTHING while they are here , shes gonna want me to stay home on the couch , feet up the whole time.....so yeah im STRESSED LOL......but it will be okay ...I hope haha!!

Hope everyone is doing well , I will try to pop back in and see how everyone is doing over the weekend :)

by krissyy, Jul 24, 2008 09:11AM
princesska-my bump is growing slowly but surely.  take a look at my photos.  i need to upload my most recent ones of the last few weeks.  yes, i hate dropping things!!!  it can be quite a production picking things up in a ladylike manor!!!  ;-)

jamie-oh, i just can't wait to find out your baby's gender!!!

katebud-9th week...you are almost thru first trimester girl!!  then time will really fly!!!  remind me, are you finding out the baby's gender?

mandy-oh the boobie game sounds like sooooo much fun!  my party was all girls but my hubby came at the end to load up the car ;-)  i can't wait to see your sono-pics.  did you upload them on here?  i will take a look.  our little girl didn't cooperate either.  she had her legs and arms up over her head the whole time!!  but, we did get a few face pics.  i think she looks like both of us, but has my husbands nose for sure!

keeks-yea, it's hard to believe that so far, we are the only girl.  we were the only one in my childbirth class with a girl also...but last night we met with our pediatirician for an open house and there were 6 mommies-to-be and only one was carrying a boy!  i'm so sorry your inlaws are coming into town around delivery time.  it's good for them to get to see baby, but entertaining will not be easy right after delivery!!!  try to get hubby to do the bulk of entertaining so you can care for baby and yourself!! :-)  still losing your mucous plug?  wow!  maybe you will go soon!!  i haven't lost anymore since that one instance and i'm not completely convinced that is what was going on with me...

my update-still working, but hurt my shoulder at work on monday!  i just tore it up!!  it started out being muscle pain which i often get at my job so i didn't think much of it.  well, 36 hours later it turned to sharp shooting pain from my shoulder down to my arm.  i think i have some nerve damage.  i'm really concerned about it and hoping i don't have to take an early maternity leave!  i haven't been able to do anything for 2 days (including sleep!!) and i hate it!  i'm so stir crazy!!!  i am seeing a specialist tomorrow morning and was able to get the weekend off work.  i'm concerned though...doctor won't be able to take xrays and i won't take any medication.  so, i'm not sure if there is anything for me to do besides suffer!!!!  so much for my perfect pregnancy!  oh well, the first 34 weeks have been pretty spotless so i will be just happy for that!  oh, and some really good news-baby has been head down for 6 days!  this is the longest she has kept a position.  she still rolls back and forth, but is keeping her head down!  yay!!!!

by krissyy, Jul 24, 2008 09:14AM
ps-i am very glad that ASH is back!!  i found her lingering around on baby dust 4 and moved her over here ;-)  i believe she said that she is being induced august 13 which will probably beat out all of us????  unless keeks keeps losing that plug!!  so hopefully she will come back with lots of pictures and birthing stories for us!! :-)

Did you get lots of good presents for your shower?....Anything super useful?.....Thats usually the hubbies job at showers too, load up the car LOL....such an important one though! haha!

OUCH your shoulder sounds rough!.....You probably wont get much help from a doctor BUT physio (sp) therapy might help , like some sort of rehab program to at least keep motion in and maybe some exercises which will help relieve the pain? Thats all I can think of .....did you hurt it at work or at home? If you hurt it at home cant you take a medical leave and then just got onto maternity leave when you need too? You shouldnt have to loose out on time spent with your baby if you did it at work......How long of a maternity leave do you get??.......It will all work itself out dont worry! :)

The thing with the in-laws visit is they arent even coming to see the baby lol , im sure they would love to be here when hes born BUT they are just coming cause they have vacation time & want too , more to do out here as far as fishing and stuff....so the will only see Rylen if hes born while they are here , but we will be out of town at a different hospital if that happens so I have NO idea how this is supposed to work lol....Im just not gonna think about it haha , cause its annoying! lol

Anyways off to the doctor , try to post an update when I get back! :)

Hi Ladies

remember me?!  its been a long time, I just wanted to share what is going on with me. The husband and I had our first official ttc cycle. It is so exciting that he is on board, he is being really awesome about it too...making jokes and asking me how I feel.
If my charting is correct I ovulated on July 18th. Hubby and I made sure to make the most of it and spend alot of time together :)
I feel so much better about this this time around, I dont feel so scrared of not being pregnant b/c I know that we'll just do it all again next cycle.
The only thing I have noticed, or more like the hubby noticed are my nipples are senstive the last few days, they dont really hurt, just senstive. Of course I dont want to read to much into anything b/c of last time. I really just want this to be stress free and although its very hard I am trying my best to not think about testing.
I will be over the moon as will my hubby if this 1st time worked for us!! I am realizing now though that I am nervous, not nervous about being pregnant but nervous of delivery. I have nighmares about it. I would love to do this naturally but I know that my pain tollerance is very low and just dont know if I could do it without an epidural. I always wanted to do a water birth with a midwife but so many people are like thats a bad idea for your first and you should be in a hospital . I dont know I guess I should wait for a BFP before I worry about delivery!!

Hope everyone new and old is doing well!!
H

Hey girl,
I have been wondering where you have gone too!! I have been trying to look you up on your profile see if there has been any new news with you, but I guess the news is your trying to conceive, it may be alot easier now since your husband is on board, that seems more fair too!!
So good luck to you, and lots and lots of baby dust!!

Krissyy- Oh I can't wait either, but your right August is almost here and its slowly creeping up, and hopefully this baby shows its self and is not camera shy like my boys, my boys flashed camera all the time.

Keeks- Yeah it sounds like it, but at the same time it is kind of different from my boys, but hey we will have to wait and see.

To all the other ladies, I hope everything is going well with you, and princess- I hope things get better for you, its amazing how some women have such a rough pregnancy and they also enjoy the baby part so much they have more hehe.
I know my mother in law has had 12 kids, and 2 have passed a way, and the last 2 almost killed her, so my in law family is rather big with kids plus grand children and spouses and what not.

by princesska2, Jul 25, 2008 02:03AM
jamie - yeah i know what you mean with me going back a 3rd time even though i do have rough pregnancies. some people called me stupid when they found out and some times i call myself stupid lol. but it is all worth it in the end and it is only 9 months out of a lifetime of happiness with my child. so we decided we would give it one more go but this is def it. 3 lots of 9 months with throwing up all day and in and out of hospital is enough for me.
hkenny welcome back and i wish you loads of baby dust covered in lollipop and honey!
krissyy hope your shoulder is improving and not too painful for you. sounds sore so rest up you dont want it sore for when bubs arrives. glad every thing else is good for you.
keeks i cant think of anything worse than having my inlaws staying with me at that time in my pregnancy. you poor thing. i hope it all gets cancelled or something and you have lots of rest and alone time with hubby before bubs comes.
well my friend who was due 2 weeks before me has just gone into labour! she was still at work and her waters broke there so she went to hospital and its the real deal. i told her she may have just peed herself and not realised lol. but baby is coming 3 weeks early and i am all excited for her. wish it was me!! cant wait for arrival of my bub and cant wait to break the news to you guys about it being a boy or a girl!!!!

by krissyy, Jul 25, 2008 05:34PM
keeks-you are right, there was nothing the specialist could do besides tell me he's pretty sure i have a bulging disc but that can't be diagnosed fully because they can't do an xray.  he did send me to phsycial therapy which i felt was a waste of time. i'm to go 3x weekly and i know i can't expect results from the first visit...but all he was doing was icing it and having me do stretches...that is what i was doing at home anyway!!  my work is being really weird about worker's comp and i have a feeling they won't pay me while i'm on leave from work, even though i pulled my shoulder while i was at work.  i do get 12 weeks maternity leave, but it's unpaid.  i can only afford to take 8 weeks maternity leave and will use my vacation time that i saved...unfortunately, i get paid by commission and tips and make way more money that way than i do with the hourly vacation pay they give us.  i love my job, but the resort owner is very, very cheap and tight with his money!  ....that's a little annoying that your inlaws are using your place as their vacation spot, especially when it's so close to delivery!!  ....i got some really nice gifts at my family's shower.  they stuck pretty much to my registry so it was mostly all stuff we really needed.  my husband's family is having their shower next weekend.  they never by from registries so i am thinking i will probably get a lot of clothes, blankets, and washclothes...  good luck at doctor!!!!

hkenny-it's like a reunion!  first ash comes back, now you are back!!  so great to hear from you!!!  i am going to try to go all natural as well and decided to do the waterbirth.  sadly, my hospital doesn't have birthing pools and it's now against their policy to bring your own in...  so, i will make that decision sooner than when i am 8 months pregnant next round!!!  i think that it's fine to do with your first baby (i was asking around the same question)...waterbirthing is supposed to be amazing and feel so much more natural.  i'm really sad that i won't be able to experience it this round.  i do agree that a hospital setting is ideal, because you never know what can happen.  have you looked into this option at your hospital?  if they offer it, you can always start in the pool and get out if it's not working for you.

jamie-my little girl hasn't been very modest during her sonograms either!!  although she   does keep her ankles crossed which is somewhat lady like...  ;-)

princesska-exciting about your girlfriend!!  that makes it feel like it could happen any day, doesn't it??  people go 4-6 weeks early all of the time so at any moment, one of us may end up disappearing from the posts for a while and coming back with exciting news!!!

let's take a poll-who do you think will go first in the august/september crew aside from ash who is being induced aug 13th?  i am voting keeks and i think she will deliver on august 18th at 8am.

haha I sure as heck hope your right about when I have him! lol......Im actually almost glad he might come a bit early because at the ultrasound today my Fiance asked the tech how big he figured the baby was and he said around 5lbs 8oz give or take a few ounces...OMG! LOL I wanted to cry haha!......My Fiance & I are pretty sure hes just really long which might be why because his head is sitting like as far as it can go without being in the birth canal lol and his feet are tucked under my right ribs , so hes also laying sideways & still managing to go from one end of me to the other lol.....and im literally ALL baby pretty much lol the Tech said there wasnt much there but him & the things he needs to grow lol.......Im so scared if I make it to term or even like 41-42 weeks he'll be like 10lbs & I will for sure need a c-section :(........Of course the techs cant say anything about the results , other than his head is down far & hes fine , I still have a cervix so thats good LOL even though obviously I would know if I didnt lol.....but we'll find out more from the doctor on Wednesday unless its super short & we might get a call to come in Monday...........Sounds like your shower went well!!! Gotta love getting everything off the registry!.....Do you have a set picked out yet for your swing and that??......Were going tonite to look at the rainforest one , I think its pretty cute , They have the swing & bouncer and then a highchair and I figure its kinda boyish so thats good lol...........That really ***** your boss is a tight-butt with his $$!!! Makes it really hard & unfair especially at times like this & seeing as you if you hurt it at work your entitled to some sort of retribution ....ARG! Employers bother me!.......I hope it all gets figured out for you soon!!......Yeah Physio isnt much , they did the same thing with my back , heat & stretches which is what I did at home anyways , it is a waste of time but it might help to make a better claim that you are sore & injured in case you do get some sort of workers comp....so stick with it if you can!!........I dont know who will go first lol.....Im thinking Princess maybe because she might be getting induced , but it seems like we all have a good chance of going at least 2 weeks early.....It will definelty be a race to the delivery room LOL

--update..went for my dr appt on friday..did an NST and the heartbeat is sounding good with the accelerations and the kick counts and everything. the ultrasound is putting him around 4lbs right now. he is really short, he has to kick his feet to even touch my ribs. DOes anyone elses tailbone feel like it is about to crack??

Hey Ladies,

so my boobs are killing me. the right one is really bad. i cant  not wear a bra or they just ache. this is weird!! seems a bit early for period boobs. but once again i dont want to get my hopes up.

hope everyone is having a good weekend!!!

by krissyy, Jul 27, 2008 09:03AM
ash-no tailbone pain yet, but i do feel like she's going to fall out of my suzieQ!!  she's really low!

keeks-whew, a big boy!  yea, i hope you go early.  my friend had a 9lb baby all natural!  she's my hero!  although she did ask for an epi but they said, "it's too late, time to push!"  her labor was 3.5 hours!!!!  maybe we will all go around the same time.  within the next month or so, it will be exciting to check to see if anyone is M.I.A. and pop back up a week later with pics and exciting news!!!  it's good we go in chunks, because we will get to look forward to baby updates in the fall and winter with the other expectant mommas on our thread :-)

hkenny-i remember my boobs hurt so bad the first several weeks that it felt like monkies were swinging from them!  but i was the opposite, i needed to wear bras for support.  but only the comfy ones.  i bought a bunch of those tanks that have built in sports bras to sleep in.  usually i am 32/34b, but now i am 34c and busting out!  although i can't complain ;-)  but anyway, having the sports bra tank kept them in place while i slept.  without it, it felt like they flopped all over the place which made them hurt even worse!!!

Hello,

that is pretty much what they feel like. I am a 32E on a regular day and me and the hubby swear they look bigger or something, they feel really heavy and i wear a sports bra to bed. they have never been this painful before, its really weird. they ache all the time.
on another note, i swear i have PMS. last night and now this morning i feel so grouchy and the husband concurs........period is due friday.
oh yes and the face is breaking out another period sign. :(

the good news is that if you are pregnant, the painful boobs goes away...at least mine did.  i think by 2 months along maybe?  i noticed very early on, maybe even before my positive test that my boobs were fuller and heavier.  i couldn't believe how rapidly they grew!  i greased them up in cocoa butter and curel every night!

are you going to test on friday?

Well, I am 20 weeks pregnant my ultra sound day is getting  closer sort of, and I am excited to find out!!
Well the last week the baby has liked to make its presents lots its movements are getting stronger and the kicking or whatever it does has started, and its just a very active baby, so exactly how my boys were its kinda nice to feel life growing inside me again=)

Well hope you all are doing great

Well its August 12 @10am I think its 10 am.
I will have to double check

I love the movements as well, unless he is doing his death roll. He gets his butt right up in my rib cage and just lingers there..hard to breath when he does that. and he punches at my bladder and hits my hips. have been getting heartburn all the time now, nothing will relieve it..it is getting so bad it feels like my tongue is on fire with my throat.

starting to get to the point where i can barely walk my tailbone is hurting so bad, and if i sit or lay down..i better be comfy or not have to move for awhile..absolutly painfull! feels like it is broken or cracked all the time...but good news only 14 more days!!

my MIL's next door neighbor, her daughter in law is getting induced on august 12th. atleast i'll have company!!!  LOL

symptoms- boobs HURT,face is breaking out and cranky-all signs point towards af. but heres hoping. I will be testing on Friday.

Oh jeez.

This past few days have been eventful. BLEH. I woke up to a tearing, buring god awful pain in my epigastric and upper back the other day. Dr discovered that my liver enzymes are back to bad. HELLP is rearing it's ugly head ONCE again. Not to mention it may be causing my kidneys to fail. NEAT, huh? I have to schedule an ultrasound of my liver and kidneys to make sure they arent enlarging. He did more bloodwork, turns out I'm SEVERELY anemic. Ferritin is also extremely low so he set me up for IV Iron today.

Well that did NOT go good. Apparently 1 in 30,000 (according to the research I was given) have a severe anaphalctyic allergic reaction to the iron dextran. Yea... well *raises hand* GUess who's allergic?

Yea. They administer a test dose to check for allergies... it took them two hours to set me up to get a test dose of just 25mg. Within 5 seconds of starting the IV - my respiratory system shut down. I started contracting and my bp went up 30 points. and I got so hot I couldnt stand it. I couldnt breathe. My throat, lungs everything shut off. My Son was going nuts in my belly- probably because he couldnt breathe either.

Thank god the nurse was right there, with the epi and oxygen and since I had only gotten less than 3mg of the 25mg test dose she was able to flush my system very quickly.

So I'm still anemic. Apparently there is another type of Iron they can try. It's called Ferritin (sp?) but she said that the Dr would decide that another day. He may not risk another reaction but if he does I'll get that transfusion over an 8 day period. Lovely, huh?

If they cant treat my anemia - then there is a good chance me and the baby will be needing blood transfusions.

The dr said my son is measuring almost 3 weeks bigger. I'm 33 weeks and he's measuring 36 weeks, with a big head. The Dr said the size of his head alone, may point to a C section. He's up to 5lbs 3oz already. If I need a C section, then I'll lose more blood and will definately need a transfusion. So UGH.

But at least I got a big fat kid, right? Lol

by Mandy725, Jul 30, 2008 07:03PM
Hmm, I've been looking at it, and the Iron Dextran is a class c drug for pregnancy...

should I go into the l&d and have them check the baby or do you think he's okay?

by Jamie21, Jul 31, 2008 09:06AM
Ash94- With my twin boys I was the same way, my tailbone if I had to sit or stand it felt like it was seriously going to break, it would bring tears to my eyes just to get up and down. It was a nasty pain, and it was still with me after they were born and I thought it would never go a way, but thankfully it did.

Mandy- Oh that sounds umm scary.... I don't know exactly what it is you have so I'm sorry

Keeks- Yes it is incredible, but I can tell when it really moves because it feels like my heart beat goes up or something weird.

by krissyy, Jul 31, 2008 10:06AM
jamie-yay, be sure to post us right away!!

ash-girl, i feel ya!!  she pushes her butt up in my ribs a lot too.  and is always punching on my bladder...she feels so far down, sometimes she makes me jump!  i haven't had any tailbone issues...  sounds painful.  i can't believe it's only 14 more days!  exciting and scary all at once!  i can't wait to hear all the details...please post pictures for us :-)  is your daughter excited about getting a brother?  only 36 more days till my due date.  it's hard to believe we've all come so far!

hkenny-i just used the regular palmers cocoa butter.  i have switched back and forth between that and curel's special maternity stretch mark cream.  so far so good!

mandy-oh my goodness!!!  that's awful!  i'm so sorry to hear you are having such a horrible time!!  are you nervous about the csection option?  that scares me to death!  although on the positive side you will be able to hopefully schedule it and not have to worry about long hours getting that big head out!!!!  he will be there in like 10 minutes or less!!  so do they think you will go early?  i may be the last one afterall!!  as far as l & d, if you have concerns maybe call your doctor and he can let you know what he thinks about going in...  keep us posted!

YAY! The board is busy again!! lol....seems like everyone has come back! hehe!

Ash ~ Owwie the tailbone issue does NOT sound pleasant , I can only imagine your discomfort!.....Like Krissy said though 14 more days and you'll have your little guy to make it all worth it!!

Krissy ~ Rylen does that too , sticks his butt up in akward places lol....hes become sooo active again latley always kicking & moving , Hes got strong enough now that when I lay with my tummy againts my Fiance's back he can feel him attacking.....Its so funny.....Did they estimate how big they think Skyler is ?......6lbs 8oz is my guess , but i'll have to keep thinking about the date LOL

Jamie ~ YAY so close to your gender assesment!

I will catch up more later , were on our way to get some pictures  taken with this AMAZING photographer....I dont know that I will post them since they are gonna be semi nude ones ( covered obviously) but still they are kind of like personal keepsake ones to remember the pregnancy , but if we get some cute ones that are decent I will post them LOL......If you want to check out her website its ...

www.mckinnonphotography.com

Theres a little maternity/baby section & then if you go through her blog , theres more maternity ones & some gorgeous wedding ones!....also gives ya  a sneak peak into where I live since all the photo's were shot locally!

by krissyy, Jul 31, 2008 03:47PM
keeks-they haven't told me how much they think she weighs.  they told me that she is probably going to be a small girl, but we will see.  her punches come out of nowhere sometimes!  they actually make me jump!  i'm sure you can relate as rylen seems to be little wild man!  that is so exciting about your pregnancy pictures.  i really wish my hubby and i would have done them.  i hope that some are rated PG so that you can post them ;-)

speaking of pictures, please check out my updated photos.  i added some pictures of our nursery too!!

Hey hkenny,

I hope you are doing ok.  What sorts of things have you tried in ttc to increase your natural fertility?  (sorry if you've already said in an earlier post)  :(

Anyways, I am 10 weeks today!!!!   I have a little belly!!!!!  :)  and I'm not ashamed of it!  (mainly b/c I know I am showing for real now!  and it's not all bloating finally).  :)

I hope everyone else is doing swell (not literally).   ;)

Keeks-Aww I am sorry to hear that!!

And katebud congrats on gaining a tummy lol, I got to the point where I cannot hide it anymore lol.

Anyways, I personally am doing alright, have been up for the past 48hrs though with my boys, my one boy has a ear infection in both ears really badly, and my other one is cutting 3 teeth at the same time, on top of that has a throat infection, with a yeast infection in his mouth, and an allergic reaction to the yeast infection so he has a rash all over him.... So my days have been wonderful:S not really. The yeast infection in the mouth is nasty, he has sores all on his tongue and top part of his mouth and he screams when he swallows, drinks or tries to eat something, poor guy!!

Well hope you all are doing well.

sory i have been MIA, but been busy....just updating all....i believe that i just started af, was red with tiny clots....but i am sooo early .  today would be cd 26....dang i wish my cycle would regulate all ready.  went from extra long (cd39....to short cd25) and last cycle was cd 27....so i dont know what is going on.  but just wanted to update....starting another new cycle.  i bd 12 days ago....so if it was implantation it would have happened a few days ago.  oh well on to yet another natural cycle...with just luck and prayers behind me...lmao...and of course all of you wonderful ladies.

ssbd to all w/ hugs and luv

by krissyy, Aug 01, 2008 07:36PM
hkenny-did you period actually come yet?  i always say, "it ain't over till aunt flo sings!!"

jamie-whew girl, you've got your hands full!!!  sick twin toddlers and pregnant!  you're super mom!!

katebud-it's very exciting when you actually look pregnant rather than just having a little gut...hehe...i swear i didn't look pregnant till i was about 25 weeks...and by 30 or 32, it was definitely obvious.  i wanted a nice round bump so badly, but my bump didn't grow  or get round till close to third trimester!!

joyce-your cycle has been wild!  there are natural teas that are supposed to regulate your cycle...i think raspberry leaf may be one of them, but don't quote me on that...  it's good to hear from you!

Krissy ~ haha yeah I can totaly relate , the kicks & punches now make me jump too when they catch me off guard! lol.....Especially at night sometimes when I lay on my side , he'll like give me a good jab and it makes me almost roll outta bed lol.......I swear if we lived closer they would totaly be best friends because they already seem so alike! lol......Im gonna go check out your nursery pics! I bet they are adorable!.......There will be G rated pics LOL....We did a bunch with me topless & then she had a really pretty almost see through type of wrap that she covered me in , in some pics and then just my tummy was exposed & then we did some of just me topless again but no cover , and then some clothed , but with my tummy showing , we really did get a great variety of pics and then we did some fully clothed and kind of like cutesy ones where we faced eachother holding hands and stuff.....I cant wait to see them! Its gonna be 3 weeks or so though & then we only get the ones we want to pay for , so we'll probably choose 5 different ones or so.......Shes just incredible though , I thought it would be kinda akward like getting topless & pretty much near naked in front of a stranger & a camera LOL but it wasnt at all , she talks to you throught the whole shoot , so the pics are almost candid because your not paying attention so much to poses & what not .....and most are in black & white so they will be really pretty!!.......Its the ONE thing we actually did to kind of commerate the pregnancy & it was expensive but WELL worth it!........We are going to get her to do our wedding as well , She charges $2500 but she gets EVERYTHING & that also includes your engagement photo shoot which is awesome!......Oh & Rylen will get his pictures done before hes 2 weeks old with her as well , it was part of our maternity package , its a quick shoot only about 1/2 an hour , but again its just some really candid like newborn stage ones which I love the idea of , and she does alot of ones with the baby naked , against like the Dads chest or laying on his arms , in black & white , super cute & great keepsakes!

Jamie & Katebud ~ YAY for baby bumps! Its exciting when they start to look like a bump instead of just extra tummy LOL.....I couldnt wait for my pants to actually sit under the bump instead of like over it LOL.....I didnt really have a real true " baby bump" until like 18 weeks I think , and then by about 28 weeks it had fully popped out , but I still have an innie belly button & really im only like "big" if im standing up......sitting down its small & even laying down you dont notice it ......You'll have to post bump pics soon!!!

Hkenny ~ Like Krissy said , it aint over until AF shows up! so dont give up hope yet!.....Just wait it out & see what happens , you might have tested early! GOOD LUCK! ******************* BABY DUST*******************

Joyce ~ Thanks for the update! always good to hear from you!!......Sorry your cycle is so wonky!.....Like Krissy said , there are tea's & herbs that can help to regulate your cycle....and I just actually read at the doctors an article on how that new yogurt with the pre-biotics or whatever they are called can help regulate a womans cycle as well......Your time will come , im sure of it :) Maybe you & Hkenny will start our batch of Spring Babies for 2009 :)

Mandy ~ Sorry to hear about all the horrible stuff that is happening now!....It never ends eh!......what are they doing for you now? Are they talking about induction since your almost to the 36 week mark?.......Keep us updated :)

Quick Update  , Made a doctors appt today cause I was in pain last nite , lots of pressure & braxton hicks.....She checked me & I guess my cervix is still getting shorter , im not dilated yet & cervix is still closed which is good :) But she doesnt think it will stay that way much longer , but as long as we can make it at least another week  ~ to 35 weeks then were not even gonna worry , they are sure hes a good size ( around 5lbs ) and hes still very active with a strong heartbeat ( 156 ) so there is no cause for concern there & now she thinks that I probably have an irritable uterus she called it , which is why I feel like I get more braxton hicks than normal , because everytime he kicks or moves against my uterus it tightens up like a contraction would....so yeah lol.......nothing too exciting! haha

Hope everyone is doing well!

ok this is weird, i thought af started...what 5 hours ago?  and about a hour or so i went in and it was no more, just very light pink with brown clotty type of stuff....not sure what to think, but keeping fingers crossed...this would be cd26 i believe...but was counting it as cd 1 cause it looked like af.  we will see.

by Joyce49788, Aug 01, 2008 11:29PM
thanks, all....take a look at my last post and tell me what you think...please.  thanks

I dont know honestly much about implantation , I didnt experience it & its SO different with every pregnancy , but it very well could be implantation I would think from how your describing it!......wait & see what the morning brings , I know the month before we concieved I had an odd AF , it was very watery & spotty , occasional clots , & only lasted 3 days instead of the usual 5-7 days , and I wasnt pg , but I think maybe my body somehow prepared me to concieve if that makes sense?.......I would give it a few days , see if it doesnt pick up , and the wait a few more days to test , I know that you might get a BFN if its too soon after or during implantation!.......Its exciting though either way! A weird AF is just as good as NO AF alot of times! lol.....keep us posted!!

keeks-maybe our babies are long distance soulmates!!  your pictures sound amazing!  i can't wait to see some of them!  they are going to be just beautiful!!  and that's great that your package includes newborn pictures.  how adorable :-)

joyce-that would be great if it was implantation and would explain why your cycle was early!  i had implantation spotting.  it was a one time thing--just some brown discharge when i wiped.  it was accompanied by several days of mild menstruallike cramping.  if it was implantation, they say that it usually takes 2-5 days afterwards for there to be enough hcg to trigger a positive hpt.  i got my bfp at 12dpo, about 5 days after my implantation...and that was a very faint positive :-)  keep us posted!

LOL super mom... I wish, I guess you just do what you got to do. But unfortunately now Gabriel the other one his dad took him in to the Medi Clinic due to he has the yeast infection in his mouth now, that sounds so gross and it can take any where from several days to several months for the infection to clear up.... Can't believe that it takes so long.

Joyce- I had spotting during my pregnancy, but that was when I was 6-7 weeks and I already knew I was pregnant, it was very very light pink could barely tell really, but everyone is different

Keeks- Yes people started to notice I was pregnant when I was 7-8 weeks pregnant so that was a little weird, but they say its because i'm tall and skinny that it helps.

by Joyce49788, Aug 02, 2008 11:00AM
well girls i guess yesterday was just warm up cause today af is here full flow.....heavy and so red almost looks black....lol

oh well here's for next cycle.

Joyce ~ Sorry to hear AF made her apperance :( ....Eventually she will give up lol......Good luck for next month!!!!!......I know it will happen for you soon! Just keep your head up :)......Are you gonna try anything different next cycle or?

Krissy ~ Skye's nursery is So adorable omg! I love your furniture , its so antique looking I love it!.....Exciting when you see it all come together isnt it?.....so you have everything else now? stroller & all that?.......We still need a swing & bouncer , highchair & just some tummy time toys , like mats for the floor and what not , but it can all wait , its not vital to the first few weeks at home , except for maybe the swing & bouncer LOL....My mom is going to buy the Glider & my Gramma is buying the tall dresser , so once thats done we've got the basic's covered! YAY! lol

Jamie ~ Sorry to hear about your little guys infection! Thats never good , I hope it only lasts a few days instead of a few months!....Do they give antibotics for that kind of thing or no?......Its amazing the things kids pick up! but its better to build his ammunity now than be like 30 & always getting sick!.....Hows your other little guy doing with his ears? better I hope!!......The joys of having 2 , seems like sickness & everything comes in 2 too LOL.....Make sure to keep us updated on how the little ones are doing!

The Dr hasnt mentioned scheduling an induction or anything early yet. Last week was pretty crazy. I have a lot of other health problems that he's trying to research before he proceeds.

My liver and kidneys arent doing so hot, and we have to wait for the ultrasound results of those to make sure I'm not having renal failure. IV Iron is contraindicated in that case. He is working with the perianatologist to make sure they arent going to cause one problem by trying to fix another. bleh. So I dont know if he'll try the other form of IV Iron or not. But hey, Aidans doing good and I'm alright, just more tired and sore.

It's scary to think about having a C Section, but I dont know what's worse to me, the possible tearing/ episiotomy the dr is hinting would happen if I tried to deliver naturally.   I honestly don't see how our kid is that big at this point, my bf and I are both small people. I mean, I'm tall but I'm tiny and so are my bones.

Ash-
OMG! No AC ... oye. Girl I'm so sorry... :(

Well my boys are better now, they are not keeping me up all night!! I guess it was not a yeast infection in their mouths it was an allergic reaction to the meds they were on that was supposed to help get rid of ear infections and throat infections, so we took them off of it, and they are not doing so much better, other then teething.

by katebud, Aug 05, 2008 02:49PM
Yay, no yeast infections!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I cannot imagine having to deal with thrush or anything like it in a baby!   (or toddler).  So did that all clear up then?

SSBD to all ttc!!!!!!!!!!!!  I hope all of you beautiful ladies can be on your way soon for our Spring contingency!

by Jamie21, Aug 05, 2008 03:59PM
lol yeah no yeast infection, and yes it has cleared up in their mouth, and most of their rashes on their bodies is gone, but now its just getting through the teething=) Kids are wonderful, well they can be, and they can also have down times.

Well 21 weeks today, and baby has found a really ackward position to place itself in, and stretch out in and when you feel that spot you can feel a big lump and sometimes it will move, and other times it likes to curl itself up there. Does a number on the bladder, totally forgot what this felt like with my twin boys, but that is okay this time tis only one so it feels like it does more flipping then my boys ever did.

Baby dust to all

by krissyy, Aug 07, 2008 07:58AM
willswifey-loads of honey drenched baby dust to you!!

keeks-we have pretty much all the major things we need--just went on a shopping spree yesterday to get the remaining "major" things from the registry.  everything else we will pick up gradually.  post us some pics of your nursery!!

ash-ugh, no AC!  we moved here in december and our house is 118 years old!  we love old houses and it was the only one we looked at with central AC...i can't imagine being without that right now...although in maryland, it has been in the 80s this week which is a nice break from this super hot summer!  girl, it's almost time!  be sure to post lots of pictures of baby boy!

mandy-i'm sorry sorry to hear about all of these other problems on top of your pregnancy.  i am scared to death of csections, but maybe it would be the best option for you.  are the doctors leaning towards that?  are they going to try to schedule one in advance?

update-yesterday i was sent for a 36 week sonogram to determine fetal growth.  again, baby skye did NOT cooperate and had her hands over her face.  she is truly trying to keep us in suspense!!!  but, we did definitely confirm, no doubts about it and as clear as day, she is a little girl!!!!  i won't know the results of the scan till my appointment next week where they will tell me her approximate weight and percentile.  doctor told me i am measuring on the small end of normal...i don't know if that means i am on the small end or skye is...  i've started my weekly visits and next week will be my first internal to look at effacement and dialation!  this is the first time that i have ever been excited about an internal exam!!!  i can hardly wait!

by katebud, Aug 07, 2008 11:43AM
OH my goodness...

All of you ladies are about to pop!  it could literally be any day now!!!   I am so excited!  and then, in the winter (hopefully you will all be around still), I'll have my bub too!

Not feeling that hot today.  I don't think I slept enough, and my stomach feels hard and I'm nauseous.  :P  I'm just going to sit it out here at work, and hopefully I won't have to move too much for awhile.

SSBD with honey and molasses to you ttc!!!

by krissyy, Aug 07, 2008 05:28PM
keeks and ash-i noticed that you were on "clear white discharge" post recently...i can't keep the patience to open the huge, long forum!!  anything exciting going on over there??

katebud-when exactly are you due again?  i know, can you believe it???  first round of baby dust girls are at popping point!!  let the races begin!

i plan to keep coming on to check in with everyone and see pictures, etc.  and then in about a year, i will be asking for more baby dust myself because it will be time for baby dust round 2!!

by katebud, Aug 07, 2008 07:00PM
I am due February 27th 2009!  I am so excited  :D   I know baby has a great chance of coming a little earlier, so bring it on!  (just not until I'm at least 36 weeks please).  :)

I am so so excited!!!  I can't stop imagining all these little babies in their tiny little hospital outfits!!!!
I am definetely feeling the hormones right now.  ;)

by krissyy, Aug 09, 2008 07:44AM
katebud-ooooo, maybe you will have a little valentine :-)

girls-this morning i woke up with a little bit of brown blood in my underpants!  i was initially freaked out, but am calming down as i have no other early signs.  i haven't noticed my mucous plug or anything.  i have lots of braxton hicks, but that is nothing new for me.  i think i am fine, but just wondering if anyone else has experienced this....

by katebud, Aug 09, 2008 09:16AM
Oh Krissyy,  I would love  for nothing more than a little valentine !!!!!  I'm going to be super active that day, just in case  it works out   ;)  hahahahahahaha.....we'll just have to see.
It's funny b/c my bff's b-day is on Valentines' day, so if it is a 2/14 baby I will have to put her name in the middle (if it's a girl).  Desiree`   :)  I really like that name.

I hope you are great!  When exactly again is your EDD?????  Sorry, I don't remember exactly!  :(
I hope you and Skye are excellent.  :)  and that delivery comes soooooon!!!   :)

Well everyone, the time has come..ive got 4 days till im induced and nervous as all get out even though this is my second child. Spent all of thursday night in the hospital having contractions. I am dialated to a 2, cervix is 100% effaced and he is completely dropped. Im ready to go.I was sent home to do some walking and things that could trigger my labor and make me dialate faster..I hope he comes on his own before wednesday. I go for my last dr appt on monday, will let y'all know how it goes.

by katebud, Aug 09, 2008 02:12PM
I will pray that your baby comes on his own!!!!!    I am soo excited for you!

by krissyy, Aug 09, 2008 05:18PM
katebud-you are finding out the gender, right?  my due date is sept.5!

ash-i can't believe your day is almost here!!!  you are being induced, but not planning a c-section, right?  oh i hope he comes on his own too!  i have my first internal on tuesday--i'm excited to see if i've made any progress...  good luck girl!!  maybe they will send you in after your appointment on monday...

by krissyy, Aug 09, 2008 08:02PM
hey girls, it's me again!!  i definitely think i am losing pieces of my mucous plug!  it looks like a big loogie!!!  ew!!!  but there is no blood in it.  i just had the tiny bit of brown blood this morning, and nothing since.  and i feel extra pelvic pressure and i feel like i am going to poop her out!!  anyone else feeling this??  i hope to hold off at least 1-2 more weeks.  i just came to the conclusion that i would definitely make it to my due date since i had to stop working...but now i am having my doubts again....

by Keeks, Aug 09, 2008 10:32PM
To: Krissy
Yeap! sounds like your mucous plug hun!.....Mine wasnt ever brown , it was more yellowish/green & snot looking , but apparently it can take on many forms LOL....My doctor told me though that if you only lose pieces of your plug it can actually grow back and keep re-attaching itself in some cases .....I would call your doctor or L&D and let them know you've lost it , just in case and see if they seem concerned at all , I know my doctor wasnt , but said it was a good thing to have on record as soon as it happens......Are you having any other symptoms?.......Hope you can wait it out a few more weeks , but even a few more days for you is full-term so dont even stress over it!.....Make sure to keep us posted! You might be the first one to go afterall hehe! :)

Quick Update while im here , and then i'll catch up on posts later tommorow

I ended up back in the hospital last night , yet again lol ....I didnt think I was having contractions , but I was just in a bit of pain & felt like I was losing alot more fluid than normal.....so out we go , and I was having contractions that were actualy picking up on the monitor , HOWEVER lol they are due to having IU ( Irritable Uterus) which I for sure have now , because it would be when he would move or kick that the contractions would get picked up , so what happens I guess is when he moves or kicks it makes my uterus mad and therefore it contracts , but its not a contraction that makes me dilate or anything because its not my body doing it , its the baby LOL.....I see my doctor on Tuesday & will find out more info ,  but im supposed to stay off my feet for another week at least because with IU it can turn into real contractions coupled with the pressure of the baby when walking or doing activities....and I just need to stay hydrated!......Other than that were good! lol .....I was leaking Amniotic Fluid , just more dishcharge than normal because now the baby is so much lower so thats good :)

Anyways i'll be back to catch up on posts over the next few days , hope everyone is doing good :)

To: keeks
thank goodness!  i feel much better to know that...i think i actually do remember someone saying that it can grow back and re-attach itself.  i'm definitely losing it in pieces.  i've seen pictures of what the whole plug looks like and this looks like a much smaller, skinnier version of it.  it's funny because i now feel like i am reliving the ttc days when i'm constantly analyzing cm and looking in the toilet after i pee and at the tp after i wipe!

i'm glad that everything is okay with you...that boy is ready to come out!!!  he's kickingin attempts to put you in labor!  every time you go to the hospital he probably thinks, "oh this is it!!!!"  i think little girl is anxious to come out of me ... she is always pushing and stretching like she is running out of room.  i feel so bad for her!!  she is probably flicking my plug in attempts to get out!

Ive completely lost my plug...it looked like a big piece of snot...sooo gross looking. I feel the same like if i take a poop he is gonna come out with it. Lots and Lots of pressure and when you sit you feel like your sitting on there head. Will update and talk more tomorrow..have to clean this house!

you may not make it to induction!  when did you lose it?  i think if the entire plug pops out, the time may be nearer.  ooooo, girlfriend is nesting!!!  haha!!!  but i guess you have no choice to make the house spotless as one way or another, baby will be home by the end of the week!!  exciting!!

i had weird gastrointestinal sharp pains in my lower back around to my tummy today.  i had 3 of them only lasting about 10-15 seconds each.  it was like nothing that i have experienced yet.  i don't know if it was a contraction or what.  it hurt a bit and was quite uncomfortable.  was nothing like BH.  i had 3 in about an hour, but that was over 3 hours ago and nothing has happened since.  has anyone else experienced this?

by princesska2, Aug 10, 2008 08:03PM
hey guys - there is so much to catch up on!! well it sounds like it is all starting to happen for alot of you. goodluck ash i think you will def be the first! cant wait to hear all about it and i am so excited for you. krissyy you sound like you are very close also. lots and lots of signs. i had no signs with both of my previous pregnancies so cant say how long it will be. hope you last a little longer and fingers crossed that everything goes well for you. keeks you have had a rough trot towards the end hey. hope you are still in high spirits and excited about the impending birth of your baby boy. i am gong ok. i have been sick still and very tired and so so over it all but not long to go now. i am booked in for my next hospital appointment on 25th aug and the doc said he will induce in the couple of days following. so we are looking at 27th or 28th aug for the big day. i am starting to think about it all the time and remembering what it was like with the girls and starting to scare myself. just want it all to happen now. katebud i hope you are well and enjoying your pregnancy. mandy how are you going?? goodluck and loads of sticky babydust to all still ttc!!!!

Well guys I am very excited and antsy tomorrow is my ultra sound and I am very excited... I am going insane trying to figure out what we are having, I still think we are having a little baby Luke ( that is the name I am picking if its a boy), but it still has a chance of being a little Angel, or Echo (yes we pick some weird names) but I haven't decided if its a girl what out of the two of those names its going to be. My husband and I like both, but he will be the one to pick when it comes out. But I still say boy!!!

Well good luck to all of you especially the ones who are really close to popping those little babies out=)... Also good luck to the ones who are ttc

Hello Girls,
I just got back from my 22 week ultra sounda today and well we found out the sex of the baby and it was a bit surprising considering I HAD it in my mind that it was a boy, but it is a baby GIRL!! ...

jamie-WHEW!!!!  i just got goosebumps!  welcome to the pink club!  it seems like we are a minority!!!  i'm so excited for you!!  yay!!!!!!!!!!

ash-i'll be thinking about you!!!  tomorrow's the big day!!!!  yahoo!!!!!

my update-mucous plug completely OUT!  doctor was able to poke baby's head and little miss skye was a bit freaked out by that!  she didn't calm down for over an hour afterwards!!!  how long after the mucous plug falls out do you typically go into labor?  my friend is having a pool party this weekend and it's on the day of the full moon!!  many women are said to go into labor on the full moon!  maybe i will have my waterbirth afterall!  hehe!!!!  i am 1/2-1cm dialated.  baby is in 55th percentile meaning average size.  she's 5lbs13oz right now.  i think they usually grow about 1/2lb a week.

Also, about your mucus plug, and your question about dilation, well I know before my boys were born I was 3cm dilated, and then I went back in a week to be induced and I was still 3 cms, so some women can walk around a long time before they actually get to the pushing stages.

i am back and forth...part of me thinks i will go early like next week, but another part of me thinks i will go at the very end of the month.  i looked online and learned that after the plug comes out, the baby can come that day, or with in a few weeks.  so, who knows.  i just wish i could narrow it down a bit.  actually, the real reason i want to go a little early is because my nasty mother-in-law keeps saying that i will go a week or two late and i just can't have her be right!!!

by katebud, Aug 12, 2008 04:00PM
krissyy,
that is too funny!  :)  I hope you go on time or early too!  NOt late!!!  My MIL is kinda funny.  She actually carried 3 of her 4 children at least on week past due, her other one being a day early for his EDD.  MY hubby she carried the longest, like 15 days past, I think...something like that.  ;)

Jamie, YAY!!!!!   I've been feeling like I'm going to have a girl (even though we can't check for awhile yet), and I hope it's a boy hiding out in there.  I would just love a BABY though.  :)

Ash, good luck Hon!!!  I'm praying for you!!

And where is Mandy???????????  Does anyone know if she and inner child are doing ok?

by katebud, Aug 12, 2008 04:16PM
Krissyy,

Forgot to say, yes.  I am finding out the gender.  It will make having baby showers easier when people want to buy clothes or gender specific items.  :)

I've been having dreams that I'm having a girl and also have this feeling.  But feelings can be wrong!  :)

Jamie ~ YAY! A girl!  Thats so exciting! She will have fun with her brothers no doubt! I would love to have 2 older brothers , especially twins! Im sure they will torment her at times but its a great way to keep the boys away lol.....My Older Step Brother came into my life at grade 6 and he made sure no one messed with me through highschool! It was great LOL....Kinda nice its a girl this time although starting over from scratch on baby stuff can suck , its alot of fun!!

Krissy ~ Hmm maybe you will be going into labour before me LOL.....I have yet to lose my whole plug & I dont think ive dilated , she checked me today & still just super short cervix & thinning!.........Be exciting if you went on the full moon but I bet there would be alot of other screaming labouring moms in there too so maybe its not a good thing LOL...Your doctor didnt give you any idea on when labour might begin?.....If her head is down & engaged I would think soon , but if her head is still a big high and your not feeling much discomfort maybe a bit longer?

Katebud ~ I cant wait for you to find out what your having!.........I wanna say boy for you but I hope you have a girl.....We need more girls in the group LOL......How long until you can find out? have you booked an appt yet?......Are you going to the 3D ultrasound like Krissy & then find out the gender then or just find out the gender?........Hows your man doing? Getting excited I bet!!!!!

Ash ~ Good Luck! Cant wait to see pictures!!!!!!!!!

Update ~ Still here , still with baby LOL....Note to everyone though , apparently it is entirely possible to have your bladder give way and pee yourself LOL....didnt think i'd ever see the day but low & behold , it happened HAHA!.....I was standing in the kitchen on Sunday night cleaning up & all of the sudden I was wet.....I didnt know what to do so I calmly got changed & then tried to re-search the details on if your water breaks LOL.....I honestly thought thats what had happened , because I didnt feel the need to pee & I didnt feel like I had peed , it just felt like this sudden wetness LOL.....so I call L&D and of course they tell you to come out , so out we go...AGAIN LOL.....wait around & get a stress test done which was normal & back home we go LOL.....Now my Fiance finds its HYSTERICAL I peed myself ( JERK lol).....Whats SO weird though is we go up the mountain alot which is a bumpy almost like off-roading , and I never once even so much as needed to pee yet I can stand in my kitchen & go without knowing? LOL....odd!......But anyways thats my funny pregnancy story LOL....I had a doctors appt today & found out I have Group B Strep which kinda *****, I dont like IV's at all & now I have to have one throught my whole labour & delivery , which is kinda imobolizing , but its for the babys good , I know that so im trying not to be too upset.....Just one more thing to add to the list LOL.....Im beginning to get scared the baby is going to come out a girl after all this LOL.....I keep having dreams of it being a girl , and everyone I talk too find its funny im having a boy because when they were pregnant with their sons , they were complete opposite , even my mom had WAY different cravings & such when she had me & my sister , along with the higher heartbeat , its making me wonder LOL.....Im sure he is a boy but its still something in the back of my mind LOL

Hope everyone is doing well :)

Yes, it will be different, but she is a lucky girl to have two older brothers to look out for her that is for sure. She might be annoyed by it when she is a teenager, but appreciate it when she gets older=)

katebud-i was positive that i was having a boy...but all of the old wive's tales were saying girl and i was dreaming about having a girl, but i was still so certain it was a boy!   so was my husband! subconciously in my dreams i was right!  and the old wive's knew!  it won't be much longer till you know!!  i think that was probably my most exciting appointment in my entire pregnancy!  although as i get closer to my d.d., i have been pretty excited about seeing the doctor!

keeks-her head is very low...i am dialating a tiny bit, but still have some effacing to do.  it's good that you are thinning out--i thought first timers effaced before they started dialating so i was surprised that i still have some thinning to go yet...  i am not convinced that i will go too terribly soon.  some people say this info means i can go any day, and others say it could be a couple more weeks.  either way, only 23 days till my due date so it won't be long whether i go early or on time.  i just don't want to miss my mom's labor day picnic!!!  i love her baked beans and chocolate snoballs!!!  i was tested for group b strep and find out the results next week.  i hope i don't have it, but have been told that it is very normal and if detected and treated, it's completely safe for mom and baby.  i swore you were having a girl too!!!!  but i think it would be harder to see a boy in the sono- and have it end up a girl rather than vice versea.  you definitely saw the pee-pee, right??  i have been so nervous that would happen with my with my little girl, but at my 36wk sono-, they zoomed right in and there is no mistaking that is a little girl in there!!

peeing onself-keeks, you are not alone!!  i have had a couple of squirts come out during pregnancy where i was wet, but hadn't fullout peed myself.  well, on sunday evening it happened!  i was putting aloe on my husband's sunburnt neck...didn't even realize i had to pee--i guess when you are pregnant, you can ALWAYS pee.  well, i sneezed and it all came out, right down my leg!!!!  yuck!  my husband found it to be hysterical!  actually, i was laughing pretty hard too and am surprised that i didn't pee myself again from the laughter!!  being pregnant is so attractive!  hehe.

Well to me all those old wives tales about what happens when you carry girls, like being more sick, or higher heart rate, carrying the girls high and all that stuff, I am not having any of that!!
I'm carrying her just like I did the boys (just not as big), her heart rate is 128-132, and I am just one of those lucky people who can have boys or girls without being sick at all.
Plus this time around I'M not really craving too much.

by Jamie21, Aug 13, 2008 09:04AM
oh and I guess everyone pregnancies are different, everyones bodies handles them differently so I guess comparing to how other peoples pregnancies are its a little tough=)

DUDE You made me feel SO much better! lol....Thank goodness im not the only one who pees themself! LOL.....At least you knew what had happened too though , I could have sworn my water had broke when it happened to me LOL.......I doubt theres much chance in messing up a boy being a girl , but I didnt actually see his " thing" and neither did my Fiance , she didnt really show us , she just said " looks like a boy".....But I cant see them being able to tell you if they werent 100% sure ya know?......I think my subconcious is still deep down hoping for a girl even though im THRILLED with a boy and would be actually quite upset if it did turn out to be a girl LOL...........I have NO idea how things work before labour ie: effacement & thinning and all that , I just know what my doctors tell me LOL.....Sounds like were both in a great position to go anytime though!......I didnt want to go early but now because they think the baby is so big im praying to go early LOL......Im scared that if I make it to 40 weeks he'll be to big & then they will want to do a c-section which would just top off this pregnancy so im hoping to go around 38 weeks & have him be a normal size & be able to give birth naturally!........Whens your next appt Krissy? sometime next week I take it?........Any signs besides your mucous plug that labour is gonna happen?........I think I had my first little bit of "nesting" last night LOL......I cleaned our entire bedroom ( which was a DISASTER) actually folded & hung up ALL the clothes , went through all of our socks to find matching pairs & then vaccumed the bedroom , cleaned the living room & vaccumed & washed the entry way walls LOL.......Feels good waking up this morning to a cleaner house though!

Jamie & Katebud ~ I dont know , the dream thing seems to work for some people but it didnt for me :( I had dreams right up until I found out it was a boy & even now , that its a girl......and I would have bet $$ on it too! LOL.....I have all the "girl" cravings & the higher heartbeat , and they tell me its a boy , so ya never know.....The Wives tales & the chinese gender chart said girl too.....The ring test LOL....we did em all.......I think in all reality everyones bodies must just re-act to pregnancy a different way

Can't say I have ever experienced full out peeing myself!! I have felt a litlte dribble here or there with my boys and it was not very often, but it doesn't surprise me that it can happen just be glad it happened at home then at the mall or something, then that would be even more embarrasing I think.

Keeks- I never had dreams of what I was having, I had dreams that I was pregnant with twins, I had dreams that I was giving birth to it, but I don't recall dreaming about its gender. It just felt so much like I was carrying a boy due to it feels like carrying my twin boys just not as big as what I was with them, and my mom kept calling her a her so maybe my mom just knew the whole time, my whole family is thrilled that it is a girl this time, my grandma in Newfoundland was hoping for a girl along with my uncle and his wife, so I don't know what it is with it being a girl. I know at our ultra sound when she brought my hubby in and was showing us the legs, arms, etc I asked her if she could tell what the sex of the baby was, and she said right now its positioned in a way where I can't see it, but I did see it when I was doing the measurements so if you want to know I can tell you, and she said it was a girl, and I said so you saw no penis or anything and she is like no that is why I'm saying its a girl. I just liked to make sure because I was very shocked. I am assuming that if she was unsure about the gender she would not have told me girl without hesitation, she said it and there was no doubt in her voice when she said it. So I didn't see for sure, but she did when she was doing measurements which is nice.

i cant believe i am the only one who is in for a big surprise in a couple of weeks. everyone is talking about their boys and girls and i am still calling mine an it. lol for some reason i do keep thinking it is a boy but i really dont have any strong feelings. it is prob because i keep telling our girls it is prob a boy to prepare them cause they both desperately want another sister to the point where they want to send it back if it is a brother. lol. i have become really sick again. must be a strong hit of hormones towards the end or something. i am so over it tho. 10 days til my appointment where they give me a date to be induced although i do believe it is going to be the 28th aug. they are saying my baby is massive too keeks so i am hoping for early so it can actually make its own way out without being too big. and on the peeing thing i completely understand. i do it regularly actually not just once but maybe thats because its my third pregnancy and my pelvic floor is stuffed. lol i seriously thought my water had broken too the other morning as i was squatting under the tv to put a video on for the girls and when i got up there was a big puddle on the floor. but i hadn't even felt myself pee!! it was weird as and thought it was the real thing. unfortunately not i just peed. the disgrace of it all!! i always pee myself when i sneeze or throw up!! no hope for me. better return to normal after bubs is here. i have been having lots of sharp pain low down in my cervix like a knife then gone. anyone else??? anyway hope  everyone is ok and hanging in there. jamie congrats on the little girl news! take care all!

by krissyy, Aug 14, 2008 07:59PM
jamie-i'm glad that you aren't experiencing some of the less desirable "girl symptoms."  i don't think the old wives are right on about everyone--i SWORE keeks was having a girl because she followed all of the "girl symptoms" as i did.  but, they were off on her, and they are off on you too!  after my gender sono-, i had them double check at my next one and actually point out the labia because i was so afraid that there was a hidden penis some where.  so, next sono-, have them double check and point out the labia so you can be extra sure :-)  thanks for the compliments on my photo page.  i'm hoping that i don't have trouble getting back into my jeans afterwards ;-)  as much as i love pregnancy, it will be nice to have control of my own body again!!!

ASH is probably loving her little baby boy right now!!!  she was induced yesterday.  i hope all is well!  post us pictures soon :-)

keeks-it's fine that we are peepee buddies, but i hope we don't become poopoo buddies!!--i'm so afraid of going poo while i'm pushing during delivery!!!  oh my, what if i am right in predicting that it was a girl from the start!!??!?!!  is your nursery neutral?  my next appointment is friday next week.  i hope i dialate more as i have been having a decent amt of contractions/cramping.  but other than the mucous plug, no other major signs.  although like you, i have had the nesting!!  it's been going on for a few days and i am really enjoying it!  i feel so productive!  have you had any symptoms?  how big are they estimated your baby to be?

princesska-i'll bet you can't wait to stop throwing up!!!  you are almost there girl!  i am glad that you can join keeks and i in our peepee sisterhood.  pregnancy is so funny!!  it's like we live in a body that is not even our own!  it will be so weird to be back to "normal" again!

funny irony-i have noticed that i am obsessing over "labor symptoms" as much as i was obsessing over "pregnancy symptoms" when i was ttc!!  i constantly find myself googling things like "is nausea a sign labor is near," or "are gastrointestinal pains signs of labor contractions," etc....hahaha!  anyone else finding themselves doing this??  what will i obsess over after baby is born???  that is a dumb question because i am sure that i will have many of things to obsess over with her!  hehe.

Krissy ~ It would be a suprise needless to say if you were right all along and it comes out a girl LOL.....I dont know how thrilled people would be who have bought boy gifts but sure be a story to tell LOL.....Yeah our nursery is neutral , I posted pictures the other day , once we get the dresser tommorow I will take some updated pics cause I gotta move around some stuff.....Dont worry your not the only one to obsess over everything to do with labor , I do all the time....almost every night I wonder if something is a sign LOL.....I havent had any surefire ones yet , other than just feeling "off" I guess , I dont know, Im really grumpy , I just feel incredibly annoyed at everything & I cant stop cleaning & organizing , I threw up the other night which hasnt happened in a long time ......Im sure it will happen when we least expect it too lol........Are your cramps/contractions Braxton Hicks? Or just not regular?...My Braxton Hicks have eased off quite a bit latley , I dont know if thats a good or bad thing lol

Princess ~ Okay you make me feel SO much better about the whole peeing thing LOL.....I hope you feel better soon & I cant wait for you to find out your induction date! Wont be long now!!! Its so crazy to think we'll all be holding our babies soon!!!.....I think your having a girl , but a boy would always be a nice change! Like Jamie you'll get to start shopping all over again which is a good & bad thing I suppose LOL

Jamie ~ See like you I didnt actually see for myself which worries me LOL.....I mean im sure they cant say for sure unless they are 100% but I wonder if they are ever wrong?.....Hmmm now im gonna google the accuracy of it LOL.....Be funny if I ended up with a girl and you ended up with a boy LOL

by Jamie21, Aug 15, 2008 09:47AM
To: Keeks
LOL Well, my doctor says they are usually really accurate when seeing the sex of the baby, and that they aren't wrong alot of the time. Plus if they are unsure about it then they will say the are only this many % sure, or they maye say they aren't sure, but they thought it was this. See I am starting to think its a girl and that she is right, now that I THINK about it there are little different things here and there for my pregnancy that weren't with the boys, I am very excited for having a girl.... I have 2 boys and a girl would be nice, plus the whole time my mom said it was a girl and lol I think that is funny.
Like I remember when she told me she didn't even hesitate about the fact that it is a girl, and she said she would not have said anything if she didn't see it so who knows. I'm sure we are all just being paranoid lol .

Krissyy- Oh yes I plan to do that next time, but we are pretty confindent in what she said that it is a girl though!! I mean she said she definitely saw it earlier and would tell us if we want to know.  About the pooping thing during labor, I have heard some women who have pooped, and some women who have thrown up. I personally never felt any of those for labor, and to me the whole pushing thing was different the pushing like you had to poop lol

Aww all you girls who pee and stuff that is funny!!! I am sure that is completely normal, and I mean it happens to the best of us lol
Keeks- I forgot to say your nursery is really cute, do you live in an apparatment and if so do they say its okay to put up that stuff? See we rent a town house and I didn't do anything like that for the boys room, but I am wondering if I can buy wall things that come off or something that I could stick on. Hmm I don't know lol. I had a room theme going for their room, but since we live in a 2 bedroom they all will be sharing a room for a bit, so its red and blue right now, now I have to add pink haha.

by Keeks, Aug 15, 2008 10:22AM
To: Jamie
Yep we live in an apartment , and the wall stickies are removeable , we got them at walmart , Im wishing now though that we had gone to Home Depot cause they had cuter ones!.....Once he grows outta Winnie The Pooh I REALLY wanna do Finding Nemo.....They are almost like window stickies but stick to the wall.....Super handy for apartments or places you dont want to paint....They have TONS out now , They have like Tinkerbell & Butterflies and stuff for a girl which would be a cute way to do up her nursery & they have like Cars Theme , Finding Nemo , Spiderman , you name it for boys!......They even make lightswitch plate covers in the theme too which is cute!

by katebud, Aug 15, 2008 11:14AM
Stupid question, but to the ladies who have been having contractions...... on a scale of 1-10, how bad do they hurt?  (1 being pulling a band-aid off and 10 being the most painful thing ever experienced).

Today is the start of week 12!!  Only 8 weeks until I find out baby's sex!  (afaik).  ;)

And CONGRATULATIONS Ash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I hope you can rest up and join us again when you feel better!

by Jamie21, Aug 15, 2008 12:11PM
To: keeks
Nice, then I shall go to home depot or something and take a look, I will do their room half and half. due to they will be sharing the room one side will be boy stuff the other side will be girls. We have gone for the car theme by doing the red and blue for the boys, even their wall night lights are for cars.

Katebud- I wouldn't rate it a 1, but I don't think it is the most painful thing I have ever felt, I think its more uncomfortable then anything. Mine went straight to my legs, but I only felt 30 minutes of contractions that were a minute a apart But I think everyone reacts differently and feels differently I guess. I think it also helps on what your pain tolerance is

by krissyy, Aug 15, 2008 05:37PM
katebud-yay, you are entering second trimester!!  congratulations!  a huge relief, i'm sure!  the BH are rated a 0 for me.  they don't hurt, just feel weird.  the ones i have been having lately are a 1 or a 2.  they are more gastrointestinal and menstrual-like.  if only i could rate my labor contractions a 1 or 2!!!  i will spill the juice afterwards for anyone that wants the whole scoop!

keeks-the contractions are different than BH.  i'm still having those, but these others are more gastrointestinal and some are menstruallike.  i had several of the menstruallike ones last night and i was beginning to wonder if time was near...but i have been fine today.  i am hoping that some more dialating is getting done!!  are you still feeling good about going all natural?  i have a new sense of optimism and motivation about labor and delivery...i hope it doesn't wear off!  our spa director was telling me about her positive experience the other day and i was really inspired.  she used visualization...the only downside of her experience was she did poop herself!!

jamie-i just know i will at least toot during the pushing!!!  oh well, it will at least bring in some humor i suppose...

by princesska2, Aug 15, 2008 08:38PM
katebud do you mean the pre labour contractions? they dont hurt at all really. it is a bit uncomfortable but not painful as such. so prob a 1. the beginning of labour is uncomfortable too more than painful nothing too bad. it is really only when you get to transition when the baby is just about ready to be pushed out that the contractions become what you call really painful. def a 10 for me. most of the other time it is comparable to menstrual cramping i suppose. krissy if you are getting this sort of pain it sounds like you are really close! i was like that only for bout 1 or 2 days before it all happened. goodluck girl! i didn't poop with my first but i think i did with my second but when i asked the midwife she darted around the question so i dont know for sure. it was actually after the birth when i was pushing out the placenta so there was so much mess down there it wouldnt have mattered. they are all so good about it and you are thinking about so many other things you dont care anyway. i dont think people actually poo before the baby is out but not sure. it is such a normal thing it is something that you shouldnt even worry about really. you are so involved in getting past the pain and your new litle bundle that it so doesnt matter.

by krissyy, Aug 16, 2008 08:13AM
To: princesska
thank you for your description of contractions.  my mother told me the same thing--that it isn't really too bad till the end at transitional stage.  and from what i have read, that is the shortest part of the laboring experience.  thank goodness!!  the transition stage-do those feel like horrible menstrual cramps too or are they when you feel like you have to poop really bad but can't?  i have heard the same thing--that they are discrete about the poo--after all, sh*t happens, right??  hehe.  but i still hope so much that it doesn't happen for me!!!!

Hiiiiiiii!! Sorry I've been MIA.... busy with Dr's appts all the time it seems. Dr has us coming in for NST 2x a week to monitor Aidan. He just diagnosed me with Cholestasis of the Liver. Neaaaaaat, eh? So we're taking one day at a time.. 36 ish weeks now! Contracting off and on all the time, I have a feeling he's coming soon... they checked my cervix last night, 1cm dialated..!! woo hoo. haha.

Nursery is almost done, all we need is to pain the babys name on the wall, and that's it~!!

Congrats ASH!!!

How is everyone doing???

by Jamie21, Aug 16, 2008 11:30PM
Man, just posted a new belly shot and can't believe how much bigger its gotten since the last time I posted one.

LOL you girls are funny with your poop talks and pooping while giving birth, its all natural things to do, mind you I don't know if I ever want to know if I do any of those things=S that may make me embarrassed lol
So hubby felt our baby girl move for the first time today it was exciting. Mind you he felt the boys and its not the first baby. But he seems pretty excited due to the fact that its a girl, maybe cause its new and different.

Cholestasis? I am sorry Mandy I don't know what that is, I know my husband has Crohns disease but I don't think those two are similiar things. Sorry to hear that.,

by katebud, Aug 17, 2008 12:49PM
Hi everyone!

So I was curious about the thing Mandy has...  :(  so here's info!

Some women experience a very severe itching in late pregnancy. The most common cause of this is cholestasis, a common liver disease that only happens in pregnancy. Cholestasis of pregnancy is a condition in which the normal flow of bile in the gallbladder is affected by the high amounts of pregnancy hormones. Cholestasis is more common in the last trimester of pregnancy when hormones are at their peak, but it usually goes away within a few days after delivery. According to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cholestasis occurs in about 1 out of 1,000 pregnancies but is more common in Swedish and Chilean ethnic groups. Cholestasis is sometimes referred to as extrahepatic cholestasis which occurs outside the liver, intrahepatic cholestasis which occurs inside the liver, or obstetric cholestasis.

I am doing well today, very happy and bouncy feeling, which is great.  :)  I'll enjoy it while I can  ;)

by krissyy, Aug 18, 2008 08:41AM
mandy-i'm sorry to hear that you have another obstacle!!  you poor thing!  but, it sounds like you are taking it in stride!  be sure to post pics of your nursery :-)

jamie-your bump is so cute!  i am sure it feels good to experience pregnancy with only one occupant!!  do you feel much different?

by Jamie21, Aug 18, 2008 10:10AM
To: Krissyy
lol the bump makes me feel huge, but then I remember with my boys I was soo much bigger so I won't complain, it just gets in the way to bend over or something. If I feel different a little bit, I mean she is quite the mover and LOVES to kick and punch, oh and stretch and whatever else lol, but with my boys if one moved so did the other so I got movement on both sides, now its just on one side or one certain area not ALL over the place. It really feels nice to not be so big this time I will enjoy it, mind you I did enjoy my boys haha.

So is it hot where every body else is? The past 2 weeks almost it has been +30-+34 and I thnk I'M going to die in this heat.

Also krissyy do you have a name for your girl I can't remember now?

Mandy ~ Sorry to hear about the diagnosis! At least they know what it is though to help treat it!....Any take of induction yet? Have they started doing internals yet to see if you are dialating or thinning on your own? Wont be long now & Aiden will be in your arms , so it will all be worth it!.....Good Luck & Keep us posted!

Katebud ~ hehe your so cute! Glad your feeling "bouncy" Enjoy the happy times cause I swear by 9 months , there arent many LOL

Krissy ~ Im suprised to see you post! I thought for sure the Full Moon would have brought little Skye into the world LOL......I was thinking one of us had to go so maybe it was you , cause it sure wasnt me :( lol......Whens your next doctors appt again?.....Anymore labor signs?.....How are you feeling?......Are you finding your contractions are getting worse?......I hope your doing okay!!

Jamie ~ I can imagine its different with just one , but do you ever find when you lay on your side or something you get movement all over even with just one baby?......I still could swear im having a girl , Krissy baby is an active little thing , your little girl is , and my little guy is still insanely active! I think its a girl sign LOL

Quick Update ~ My kid is a monkey , He was awake for over 2 hours last night going nuts  , I was TRYING to lay in bed and he was just sticking his bum out & punching , you name it , I had to wake up my Fiance just to feel how much he was moving & he was like kinda amazed , He in general moves alot , but not for such a long time period , normally he wears himself out but I guess not last night LOL.....I hope he was looking for an escape route!.....Im SOOO over being pregnant now lol.....Im miserable , I havent been sleeping still , I've been getting the worst braxton hicks & insane pressure at times that just makes me want to cry....I get like 2 charlie horses a night in my legs so I wake up & cant walk lol , my feet officaly have fat rolls they are swollen ( Jamie its just as hot here dont worry! lol).....Im just down right miserable , and next week once im 37 weeks , im doing everything I can to get him OUT! lol......I have a doctors appt tommorow so hopefully hes still working his out naturally , if not im asking to be induced at 38 weeks if they figure hes over 8lbs already , I havent asked about weight in a while , but I refuse to go through ALL this for a c-section if it can be avoided so!....I'll keep everyone updated! Have a great day!

Umm, sometimes I guess even laying on my back I guess it feeels like there is movement all over, she likes to stretch herself either in my low low abdominal area, or to my left side so you just see this one big lump haha its cute.
Oh yes, she was up like your little guy last night too!! I don't know why, but she was a really going. Mind you for me my  boy pregnancy symptoms, are the same as my girl pregnancy symptoms, I guess I'm just lucky I don't have to deal with all that getting really sick with being pregnant with a girl. But maybe its the heat but hte other night it was soo hot I just felt this big wave of nausea and I told my hubby I just got this big urge to throw up, ha he gets me a pale or something and says okay here you go. I never did it passed, but this heat can do some pretty weird things I think.
As for the movement between my boys and the girl they are the same activeness so I don't know. I think everyones pregnancies are different and people react differently, and maybe my girl will have just as much energy as my boys and make me want to pull some more hair out=) haha who knows.

So today is supposed to be one of hottest days EVER in Edmonton here today, it is supposed to get up to 37.6 or something degrees it could even reach 40. Man I'm thinking this is hotter weather then what California is getting now, strange really.
Well keeks I went at 38 weeks so I hope they will induce you especially if he is a big boy, then I don't know if they would want you to have a vaginal delivery if its your first. I heard if its a really big baby and your first they will recommend a c section.... I think.

by Keeks, Aug 18, 2008 03:23PM
To: Ladies
I was just wondering for any of you lovely ladies who've already had babies , do you ever remember throwing up near the end?.....I dont know what it is but ive had bits of nausea here & there but today is alot worse , and I ended up actually throwing up 4x this morning , and all ive had is watered down apple juice which has never bothered me before & I just feel "off" I dont feel like I have the flu or anything , just suddenly felt very sick , and now im trying to eat a peanut butter bagel to kind of give my stomach something with substance but its making me feel sick too......I just dont know wether im getting sick or if its normal to kind of having "morning sickness" in the 3rd trimester.....Thanks for the help!

Jamie ~ I think your right , most times if they expect the baby to be bigger , especially 1st's they want to do a c-section & im not very big as it is , but I dont know , I would just hope they would induce!.....I feel horrible for you & your hot weather , its cooled off here a bit , probably low 20's which is totaly bearable , I cant imagine the heat there & being pregnant....do you guys have places to swim at least? like lakes or rivers? a pool close by? How do your little ones handle that kind of heat? I can only imagine it makes them miserable too!...I hope you guys have a good day despite the heat!

by Jamie21, Aug 18, 2008 03:45PM
The throwing up part, I hear that it can be normal to come back in the third trimester I don't think that, that is un heard of. I am sorry that it came back, my nausea every now and then is because of this stupid heated weather.

Oh low 20's sound like heaven compared to it being 33 right now LOL.
Yeah the inducing didn't help me to go through labor, it was after they broke the water after 5 hrs of being on that stupid needle IV thing then did I start to dilate. But hopefully they will induce you. Yes we live right by a rec center actually with a swimming pool, and my boys handling the heat they do not too bad they get cranky when it comes to bed time, I try to make sure their room is sort of cool when its bed time by putting the fan in their room. But its stupid in summer their room is the hottest and in the winter their room is the coolest room in the house. Ah well.

keeks - yes it is normal to experience morning sickness again towards the end. it is another big rush of hormones tha does it and mine has also come back in full force (not that it ever really went away!) even with the meds i am on that have been working i am throwing up again so i fully sympathise with you.

well ladies i officially lost my plug last night!! it was kind of gross and my poor hubby. i was busting to go to the toilet and ran in there didnt turn on any lights or anything and went then just ran back out so i didnt miss a race on the olympics. when it was time to go to bed my hubby went off to the toilet and i hear him go "what the f... is that??" i went in to find my whole plug sitting on the toilet seat!! i was in hysterics if not a bit embarassed because it is kinda gross that he had to go to the toilet to that. but it is still making me laugh now. i explained to him what it was and then he didn't sleep all night cause he thought i was going into laborr there and then! lol very funny it all was. but now i am hanging for just any other signs its here time to go. cause like you keeks i am very very over it all!!

jamie-we are naming her skyler paige and calling her skye.  have you come up with definitely names yet?  i remember you were deciding between a few...

keeks-sounds like you are reading to pop!!  do they know for sure that he is a big boy?  have they done the 36 week fetal growth sonogram to see what percentile he is in?  or is that just something they do in the u.s.?  nope, didn't go on the full moon.  i think i will last at least another week.  i continue to have the cramping and BH, but nothing that makes me think "it's time!"  they are pretty regular for about 30 or 40 minutes, and then they became more sporadic.  i can only hope that they are doing more good work and getting some effacement/dialation progress!  girl, i have been really nausious as well!  i haven't thrown up, but there have been a few times i thought it may happen...i just feel short of breath and very faint.  i have a mixture of pukey/diarhea feeling, but then nothing happens.  my next appointment is friday the 22nd.  i am predicting that i have my baby on aug. 24.  do you think your doc will induce you early?  we may have our babies really close to the same time!

princesska-congrats on being plugless!!!  today is the first week anniversary of when i lost mine :-)  that is hysterical that yours was laying on the seat!!  if only the men could understand all of the gross stuff us women go thru, especially during pregnancy!!!!  maybe you will be the next one to deliver!  i am sure it will be such a great feeling to hold your little one and not be throwing up anymore!!!!

We have two names picked out either Angel Nicole, or Echo Leigh as in (lee) just different spelling, my husband gets to choose which one he won't decide until he sees her face then he will decide then which one she looks like LOL, but I am pretty sure he will go with Angel.

Im here everyone....And Thank you everyone for the congrats!!!  Everything went well..Mason thomas  was born at 4:41pm weighing a healthy 5lbs 12ozs 19in long. He is precious and I just cant quit holding him.

Got to the hospital at 6am like scheduled, they were completely booked up from people just going into labor so was told to come back at 7, got everything hooked up and started the pitocin at 8:30am. broke my water at noon. asked for an epidural at 3:45pm. (i think i lasted quite a while without it...as long as you breath like the classes teach you, you can prolly make it all the way through). My epidural had not kicked in and i felt lots of pressure in vjj, and surprise surprise at 4:25pm i was already at 10cm. My husband had gone to get something to eat and he got a phone call just as he sat down, hadnt even paid or his food yet, to get back to the hospital. He barely made it, the dr barely made it(she came running in the room as his head was coming out to his nose, she didnt even have time to get suited up). Went from 5 cm to 10cm in like 45 min if i can remember right. And the stink of it all, 1300 dollar epidural i never even got to use, felt the whole thing..didnt really hurt that bad, just lots of pressure and stretching down there. The only down fall to everything was when they did the epidural they went in to far and punctured a hole in my spine causing me to leak spinal fluid. which in turn causes massive headaches...im talking migraine times 1000. They called it a spinal headache which is currable by doing another epidural and puting blood in there called a blood patch but that isnt guaranteed to work so i chose to wait it out for te 7-10 days for the hole to seal off and 7 days later im finally able to get out of the bed for more then 10 min. But im enjoy my little man and my daughter is so proud of her little brother. I will post some pics later tonight when i have more brain power!!

and again thank you everyone, and how is every else doing??

jamie-nicole is my middle name and leigh is my mom's middle name :-)

ash-i'm so happy that all went well and mommy and baby are healthy!  thank you for the breathing advice--i hope to make it thru on breathing and my birthing ball and whenever people say "it's doable" it makes me feel some hope :-)  many people say, "it hurts like HELL and you will never be able to do without the drugs!!!"  so, your comments are much more refreshing :-)  i'm sorry about the epi- not working and the huge expense of it all!  my insurance only covers 70% so i am sure we will have quite a hefty hospital bill!  i cannot wait to see the pictures!  how has life with a newborn been?  are you getting any sleep?

Awwwwww YAY congrats on your little boy hun! I cant wait to see pics!.....So sorry to hear about your experience with the epidural!....Its scary how often they actually mess up , I have 2 friends who both experienced what you did , with the hole & the headaches , one of my friends actually couldnt even breastfeed or anything because she was so ill & spent 19 days in the hospital!.....Im glad your feeling better though & it hasnt effected you too bad , although im sure it was more painful than the delivery!....WOW $1300 for an epidural? I didnt realize in the U.S you had to paid for pain meds , thats insane!.....I love that you make labor sound not that bad! I am not at all afraid but its still nice to hear a POSITIVE experience!.......Again congrats hun!!!! :)

I've started baby dust 6 , this post is a little long & bogged down .....Cya there :)
