BABY DUST 6 ~ Extra Super Sticky

Well , once again our main thread is getting full & hard to load , so I figured the time has come to start yet another chapter!.....Weird to think that this will probably be the thread some of us start talking about our birth experiences & posting actual baby pictures instead of tummy ones! and for others , its the start of a milestone! The 2nd trimester! YAY!

Quick Update ~ Doctors appt today went okay , head is down & engaged & im about 60% effaced but cervix is still closed , My doctor is gone until next Tuesday so as much as I want him out now im kinda scared without her there ..... Baby is like majorly active right now , but on the bright side I had a decent sleep last night so maybe that means things are calming down & i'll get some rest before baby comes!......Next appt is Wednesday unless something changes!

Any baby updates? Ash? Hope your doing well & enjoying your adorable little boy!

Princess sounds like your ready to go anytime now too! Good thing me you & Krissy dont live close or have to go to the same hospital , be a fight to see who gets the best delivery room LOL......Its amazing to think our babies will all be so close , its awesome we've got to share so much about pregnancy & then next the newborn stage!!!

Well had my doctors appointment today and heard babies heart beat and it was 148 so that is good news, and my weight gain is fine too I think.
Hate seeing the weight thing being at almost 150 I'm used to being 120 but oh well... Baby was measuring 22wks and 1 day time of ultra sound so that put me to 23 wks and 1 day today.
My back is bloody well killing me though lately

Princess ~ Awww your nursery is adorable! I love love love the animals! Its so sweet!!.....Thats perfect for a boy or girl!.....What theme is your girls room??.......You've gotta be getting excited! you find out your induction date soon dont you?.....Are you feeling any better the last few days??

Jamie ~ Oh dude dont even go there with the weight gain! LOL.....I have yet to look at the scale , I know its under 30lbs but still , its horrible & one week the scale said I had lost 5lbs , the next time , not even a week later said I had gained 10lbs , so they are convinced their scales are off , but still NOT COOL! lol.....I wanted to cry haha.....Did you lose the baby weight easily after the twins? They do say with girls you tend to gain more & carry it alot differently , but if you had no problems with twins , a girl shouldnt do too much to your figure! lol

Do you guys have Thyme Maternity in the U.S? I am thinking Jamie you probably have it in Edmonton....I got thee best nursing pillow there yesterday! Its one of those super soft & comfy ones , not like the horrible "jolly jumper" brand that are hard and boomberange shaped , & the best part its CHEAP! lol , I seen the same pillow ( just different brand) in The Bay & a specality kids store for $70 , I paid $30 & mine has a washable cover , the others didnt.....Its comfy to use even without the baby but probably my new favourtie buy besides my Diaper Bag lol......If you dont have a nursing pillow yet I HIGHLY recommend it!!!!

princesska-your nursery is cute...my friend that is due a week after me is also doing a jungle theme (she doesn't know the gender either).  it's really cute...she did stencils on the wall...primary colors like yours :-)

keeks-you are right!  this will be the post that we tell our birthing stories!  oh so exciting!!!  i'm glad to know that you will continue to come on and discuss newborns and keep up with everyone.  i plan to stick with the site after baby also...and maybe in a year or two, we will be requesting baby dust again for our next rounds :-)  how many do you plan to have?  i hope to stop at 2!!

nursing pillow-i got one in the U.S....it's like the boppy but hooks around the waist...it's called "my breast friend."  hehe.

Not too sure if we will have more , I want more by all means , but it depends what it would mean for the pregnancy because of the issues this time around , It would be alot more difficult to go through the complications with a little one at home to worry about as well , and I would only hope my cervix would stay long enough to carry to term again , which who knows because apparently the cervix gets shorter sooner the more times your pregnant , which might be a concern , but I would like to have at least 2 , I want a girl!......We'll probably talk about it once Rylen is 3-4 , at least then hes old enough to understand & will be in pre-k or Kindergarden which makes it easier!.....Ya never know though I suppose! lol......Have you thought about Birth Control methods after Skye's born? I dont know what to do lol , Im thinking IUD cause I dont really trust the pill & I cant imagine having to remember to take a pill while dealing with a new baby , but I dont know much about IUD's either so I gotta look into that! lol

LOL the things women go through, men have it easy they can loose weight faster then we can, they don't have to worry about carrying babies and having things done to their figure let alone worrying about stretch marks ( mind you men can get those for different reasons), also men to get cellulite=( that is sad haha.
Girls we are not so lucky regardless of babies or not. LOL I was only joking the weight gain doesn't bother me too much, with my twin boys I gained 45 pound so I was 125 pre pregnancy and at the very end 165, then right after they were born 150 and a week later back to 120 and then a few months after going to the gym I was 120 and I didn't have the baby bump after they were born like alot of people I see do, it was just umm skin =S (yuck right) lol but, it was easier to get rid of it and tighten it up then it is to get rid of old baby bump so. But this time around I am not as HUGE as I was, and I do 15min cardio every day plus my 2 nights a week at the gym, but I know a girl due the same time again as me and she has twin girls born in december just like I have twins born then, and at being 3-4 months pregnant she had already gained 50 pounds and my husband says she looks like a box=S.... not a very nice thing to say haha. But poor girl with her twins she was 100 pounds and then at the very end she was 200.
But krissyy your baby bump is so cute, small and I don't think you will have  any problems.
Keeks- haven't seen a picture of your baby bump, but regardless babies make a person loose weight lol especially when breastfeeding.

Keeks- Also about BC I took BC pills for the year and a half once my boys were born and until I was ready for another one and no problems there, but I guess if you could forget then yeah maybe go with something else lol.
ALSO ladies I am so excited to see your babies photos aww I can't wait, I still have a few months left, but you guys don't so I'm excited to see your new babies=)

jamie-angel rose is pretty, but i like nicole...maybe i am partial ;-)  thanks for your "bump" compliments.  i hope i don't have trouble losing the weight.  i have gained 29lbs...not sure if i will gain more before delivery or not.  i haven't lost or gained over the last 2-3 weeks.  today i ate 2 whole pineapples though...so who knows!

keeks-4 or 5 is a good age to start for #2...but i understand why it would be scary for you to go thru again.  although you have made it really far!!  are you at 37 weeks now?  i will probably go back on the pill.  if all goes well, i will probably try to baby #2 after skye is 1 or 2...i'm 31 years old and my clock is ticking!!

my update:  not much progress...11 days since the loss of my plug and still nothing :-(  i made just a tiny bit of progress at my appt on friday, but not much.  i am 1cm dialated and just 50% effaced.  baby girl is nice and low.  could be any day, could be another week or more!!  i'm continuing to have lots of cramps and contractions, but they don't seem to be getting me anywhere.  tomorrow is the day i predicted i would have her, but i am thinking my guess was wrong!!  watch, i will be overdue!!  anyone else getting any dialation/effacement in??

I figured I would say something, since this post hasn't gotten too much attention in the past couple days.  :)

I have started to get horrible headaches that I need to lay down with to get rid of.  I feel nausea with them too, but am not getting sick or anything.
Has anyone else had these?

I had a check up today!  13 1/2 weeks along.  The HB is in the 150 bpm range and very strong.  :)  I still almost can't believe there is a baby in there.  
I have my 20 week ultrasound 6 weeks from today!  
Hubby and I've decided that he would find the sex out and then tell me 2 weeks later on our 1 year wedding anniversary.  :D  
I am so excited about that!

Well, I have bad head aches that can create nausea while being pregnant and not even being pregnant!! I think that it is natural, I am sure if you asked your OB-GYN about it, I know head aches is a common thing during pregnancy!!
Katebud- I am going to guess the gender of your baby and when you find out you can let me know and we'll see if I was right or not;)....

All- My poor back is starting to feel the strain of carrying a baby all over again!! It hurts all the time lately. But my baby girl is constantly moving and hubby talks to her and gets to feel her move now and we are all so excited I am finally going to start buying girly things ahh its so exciting shopping for girls=)

Katebud ~ Yeah I got really really bad headaches in the beginning w/ nausea , They werent like migraines ( not specific to one spot) just an all over ache & laying down was about all that helped , I refused to take anything so I used to get a cold facecloth , put it on my head and just relax , darkness helps too!!.......Its just from all the hormones in your body adjusting & such I think!......YAY for your ultrasound! Thats so exciting! How cute that your gonna wait until your anniversary! Thats a neat idea!.....Im thinking girl for you too!!!

Jamie ~ Im sorry your back hurts! :( Hopefully shes just laying in a weird spot and once she moves you'll get some relief!......Im suprised my back doesnt hurt much these days , it does on & off but I think thats more associated with BH......So exciting to buy girl stuff!!! its all so pink & cute & it seems they always have more girl stuff than boy stuff anywhere ya go! especially when it comes to sales! lol.........Angel is a cute name!....Have you told the boys her name yet?

katebud-ooo, what a fun way to find out!!  do you have a feeling either way?  i didn't have bad headaches with my pregnancy but my two best friends did.  i just had the throwing up.  i am going to be the opposite of jamie and guess that you are having a boy...only because my 2 best friends had boys and had headaches with them...again, i am often wrong with gender guesses, but that is what i will say :-)

jamie-the girly stuff is so much fun!  have you decided on what you are doing with her nursery yet?

keeks-i'm still here...i'm still pregnant...i think i will be pregnant for a while yet and will probably see my due date come and go...  she just seems pretty content in my tummy!  today is 2 weeks since i lost my plug and nothing!  how are you feeling??  any signs????

Awww im glad to see your still here , but im sure your just about ready & done too!!.....I thought you would have gone for sure after your last appt, but you must be making a good cozy little home her! .....Are you tired of people making comments like " your still pregnant" and the like?....I AM! lol.....I cant stand it & im sick of anyone & everyone even making a comment about me "still" being pregnant.......I dont have any signs yet , but im sooo done its not even funny , im miserable , im exhausted , I have a major hate on for my Fiance even though he hasnt done much , I cant help but google everything & anything to do with labor & "how to know" lol.........Are you uncomfortable yet? Hows sleeping going for ya?.....I am sleeping alot more just at smaller invertvals , about an hour or so at a time , I feel sooo groggy though because of it!......Do you still feel Skye moving alot or has she calmed down a bit?.....Rylen has his nights , where he goes nuts and other times where he is calm as can be.....the calm nights make me think this MIGHT be it , but it never is ......I think i'll be pregnant forever!.....Ugh :( I spent so much time making sure he was all safe & comfy in there until this point in my pregnancy & now he doesnt want to come out LOL

Well, long story short...I lost my mucous plug last week, dilated to 3cm - I KNOW I'm at least a 4 or 5 right now, I have contractions (nothing regular) all the time. Dr said last week that I'm "ready to pop"... did a bunch of tests, decided that delivering Aidan ASAP would be best- they scheduled me for the amnio today- which I had (OWWWW btw) My son did NOT like it. He actually kicked the needle! Dr had said as long as his lungs were mature according to the Amnio he'd be inducing today at 5am. Which is in 1hr and a half. He said that no news is good news about the lungs and since no one told us they were bad we were getting ready to go in. I've been a wreck - up all night, in anticipation.

Well about 10 minutes ago I get a call from a nurse at the hospital- ALL THE BEDS ARE FULL.

So she told me to call back at 8am and see where they stand..so my induction isnt cancelled just pushed back a few hours at this point...

yes i feel the same as everyone over it and waiting waiting. i am so sick of people calling asking me how i feel and if i have had any twinges. and of course the "oh your still here "is rather annoying too. however i have my date booked in so if i dont go beforehand (i wont) i will be meeting my new little one on monday 1st september. have to be at the hospital at 6.45am to be started at 7. all very exciting and at least i know now so i can count down and stop wondering and waiting. hopefully i can log on a couple of days after as i wil only be in hospital til the wed.
krissyy and keeks i hope you guys go real soon. i understand how you both feel and hope you both keep well for the next while. take care girls!

Keeks- yes hopefully that is the problem!! Plus if I find I do too much it starts to really hurt. But with my boys I was on bedrest from 24 weeks on, so I like to kinda not be laying down too much, because that was boring bedrest was. They say working out helps with labor and what not so I have been doing cardio 5x a week and going to the gym with my mom 2x a week, let me tell you till this day I still don't know how I manage it, but I FIGURED by doing it my back wouldn't hurt as much, but no that is not the case... So how far along are you now? Oh and I heard that for your first ones some women go way over due like 41-42 weeks I hope that is not the case for any of you.

Krissyy- Yes Girly stuff I am excited!! I asked my mom if she would take me to walmart tonight so we could go look at baby stuff. For her Nursery we are going to put up TInkerbell wall sticker things, and for her crib set I have no idea, I wish we could get a tinker bell crib set that would be nice, but maybe I will just find colors that go with the tinkerbell stickers who knows.

Princess- Well at least you have a induction date set those are always handy that way you know if you don't go earlier you will definitely be having baby on that day=)... It will probably be nice to not have sickness any more and just being able to hold baby=)
Yeah I say its a boy, mind you I don't know where that guess came from I just figured it sounds more right if I say boy then girl.

Katebud- I still say girl.... =) hope everything goes well. No matter what the sex of the baby is as long as its healthy that is all that matters=)

keeks-yes!!!  it's starting to get annoying people saying, "you're still pregnant??"  i'm not even to my due date--still have 10 more days so i really feel pitty on the women that do go overdue!  they must feel like it's never happening!  i will tell you what the most annoying thing is...  i have this friend who is due 8 days AFTER me and loves to remind me that she will probably go way before me any chance she gets.  i am dialated 1cm and 50% effaced, she is 2cm dialated and 80% effaced and is certain she is going any day now.  today she emails me and says, "wouldn't it be funny if you go on my due date and i go on your due date??"  i said, "no, that would not be funny."  i've been sleeping good for the most part, but every now and then i will have nights that i am up every hour just thinking about my baby and when she will come and what life will be like soon, etc.  and i usually wake up every time i roll over because it's a bit of a production.  she has been like rylen...some days not as active and other days a wild woman!  when she slows down, i think..."oh, maybe she will come soon" but then she gets excitable again.  girl, i just have a feeling that you and i will be the last ones to deliver!!!  

mandy-omg!!!  i can't believe it!!  i'm so nervous and excited for you!  i have goosebumps on my legs that are making my hair grow faster, i'm just so excited!  i can't wait to hear all about it!!!  right now you could be holding your little baby boy!!!  oh, i am so jealous!  maybe you are finished all of the pains of labor and snuggling with your little one at this moment...  i look forward to that moment--when i am finally mommy and have labor and delivery behind me!  please post lots of pictures!

princesska-labor on labor day!  you lucky duck!  that is less than a week away...i'm so envious!  my due date is sept.5 and i will probably have her on oct.5th!!  i will be thinking about you on monday!  i can't wait to hear all about it, i am predicting a girl...post pictures :-)

jamie-aw, tinkerbell will be so cute!  you could always do a fairy theme or just do tinkerbell accents and have either plain or shimmery bedding...maybe get some tinkerbell stuffed toys and such for the room.  

update:  today i had the loose poos 2x which is unusual for me so i am hoping that is a sign that it won't be much longer!!  of course, i thought the same thing when my plug popped out 15 days ago!!  i think skyler must have found something else to plug in it's place!!!!

Aww thank you for your advice on bedding and stuff I will definitely keep that in mind. Ha yes I did mention today about the getting tinker bell stuffed toys. If I go to the disney store we have here I can get her a few tinker bell stuffed toys=). I don't know we really like tinker bell, and I thought of winnie the pooh, but that is too common, then I thought about princess themes and to me that is to original, and then we both like tinker bell so we thought that was really cool. So even if I can't find anything for tinker bell for crib sets I will definitely get light green and pink crib set hopefully I will be looking around today to get an idea =).

Aww I'm sorry, well at last your not over due yet you still have a few days left to go, she will come when she is ready!! I know that ***** to hear, but maybe if you ask to induce you? or will they not?

is labor day a holiday for you? do you celebrate it or is it just a day off? i am happy with the date. not long now and 1 more weekend together with hubby before kaos sets in lol. krissyy i know you are going to hate me but all along i have thought you will go last even tho you were first to be pregnant. i think it will be me mon then keeks a few days after then you. hopefully you prove me wrong in the next few days hon. generally over here they will not induce until you are 2 weeks over due especially with your first. unless there are complications or sickness like me. hopefully you dont have to wait that long. but you are healthy and so is your little girl so it is best she decide when to come into the world. she will soon. keeks i had a night like you last night where i was up every hour going to the toilet. aarggghhh i am so tired this morning! jamie your nursery sounds like it is busy being planned - it is so much fun. cant wait to see the photos!!

jamie-i'm afraid of induction!!  i will have to ask mandy and ash how theirs went...i want to go all natural and i have heard that inductions come on so quickly and the pain isn't as gradual making it pretty overwhelming.  i won't panic till sept. 6, the day after my due date.  then i will start to worry. pink and green will be so pretty!  i'm excited to see pictures of your nursery when you are finished.  do you have furniture yet or are you able to use one of the boy's cribs?

princesska-oh that's right, i guess labor day is an american holiday.  bad girl!!!  are you the one who jinxed me to be last??  i definitely don't want to be induced.  i guess she will come when she is good and ready!!  she is definitely a woman ;-)

Mason is now 2 weeks old and eating like a cow. He goes for his 2 week check up tomorrow. Nothing like taking a newborn and a 4 yr old to dr with no help.

Princess ~ Oh man you must be getting excited! The 1st is sooo soon! YAY! How exciting!!.....I sooo wanna say your having a boy but I really kinda think its a girl , Skye needs at least one girlfriend , poor thing is surrounded by boys! lol.......I cant wait to hear how everything goes for you too!

Krissy ~ I think your gonna go before me for sure , I have like NO signs still & its ANNOYING! lol......I hope everything goes the way you planned too and hopefully if little miss Skye makes her appearance in the next few days you'll still get to enjoy your Labor Day festivites & food that your so in love with hehe!!!!

Jamie ~ I looove the idea for the Tinkerbelle theme , you can actually get a tinkerbelle crib/toddler bed set on Ebay , I seen it last nite , I'll find the link & post it for ya! It didnt look like it had bumper pads but it had the cute little quilt & stuff , and it fit a standard crib mattress so it would be perfect!!.....With the Canadian Dollar so high too its not too expensive these days to get stuff off Ebay......I know home depto has TONS more Tinkerbelle stuff than Walmart , at least where I live , They have like little pixie dust star stickers & things like that , SUPER cute  & even if you dont get a Tinkerbelle Crib set , you could always do like a purple quilt & green accents & then get like a fleecey Tinkerbelle throw to put on the bed....Seeee I soooo need a girl LOL.....Im so excited for you!!

Ash ~ awww glad to hear you & Mason are doing well hun!....2 weeks already OMG , the time goes by too fast once their born :(.....Hope his checkup goes well! Update with pics soon hun!

UPDATE ~ welll , I hate everything & im sooooo done being pregnant its not even funny , I am sick of not sleeping , im sick of not being able to walk , I hate sex but im using it to try to get labor started even though its NOT fun at this stage in pregnancy , Im miserable , I cry over EVERYTHING lol....Im just a big giant ball of miserableness & I hate it!.........I feel TERRIBLE for my Fiance because hes doing his best to make me feel better but its not working , I left my doctors appt in tears today cause im just SO fed up & my doctor doesnt seem to care.....The baby has dropped so low that now even my maternity pants dont fit , because they dont sit high enough to cover the band part & none of my shirts are long enough to make it work....so I cry getting dressed LOL....My doctor told me to get the Red Raspberry Leaf tea but not to take it for at least another week , I dont care , im getting some tommorow and im gonna slowly start drinking it over the next few days , start out with one glass & keep increasing until Labor starts , and if that doesnt work well I dont know what i'll do....cry I suppose.....I've already tried everything else , sex doesnt work , 4X4 doesnt work , relaxing doesnt work LOL....So here's hoping the tea does or my poor Fiance might leave me LOL

Actually there is something you can drink that will help increase labor and I heard it works like a charm.... but it tastes nasty I heard. People wanted me to take it after I hit the 36 week mark because I was sick and tired of being pregnant as well, but I never did I was too nervous for the idea of labor pains and what not umm I think my mother in law said Castrol Oil (Not the stuff for your car) but you can get it at the drug store.
I don't know I heard it tastes REALLY gross, but supposedly it works. I have never tried it, so if you do let me know if it works.

Oh thank you! We really thought all the other girl themes are so original I never known anyone who had a tinker bell room, so I thought it would be cute. Yes I have not gone to home depot yet, but I certainly plan to before baby is born.

Yes but princess I still say a boy, so maybe I will be right, but if I am please post pictures and let us know. Either way I hope it all works for you=) and hopefully a easy painless labor LOL I KNOW we all wish, but my twins were that way so hopefully I can do it again.

I know its so scary how fast they grow once they are born and I remember saying I was going to wait until my boys were at least 4 yrs, but low and behold they will be 2 yrs old when my baby girl is born lol.

Well I went to Walmart and bought some girl outfits plus I got a bag of girl clothes from a lady my mom knows and they are all soo pink and cute, plus they are brand new it looks like no stains or nothing so I am wonder what her secret is LOL

Update on me is nothing much really, baby girl is pretty active alot of the time and knows how to kick and move, back is still hurting like crazy, and hurts to bend over too far, or starting to hurt to shave my legs, but oh well!!

If you search just Tinkerbelle it comes up with lots of like wall posters & stuff too so you might be able to find some good accents , this set w/ shipping would be around $150 but its cute & handmade and it does have just plain lilac colored bumpers which is cool!!

keeks-i got the raspberry leaf tea and only drank it once.  they say it's okay to drink after 37 weeks (aren't you just a few days behind me?  i'm at 38wks5days).  i am not a big tea drinker and wish i would have gotten the capsules instead.  i am so sorry you are feeling miserable.  i have been craving mad pineapples and actually read that they may contribute to bringing on labor! (but only fresh pineapple)  i have been eatting 1-2 whole pineapples a day!  my mouth is full of sores, but i don't care!!  they taste so good and if they speed the process up, that is so fine with me!!  when is your next doctor appointment?  did they give you an idea of when they think you will go?  i'm sorry sex is not helping--i've had a few people tell me that nipple massage works.  and i am actually taking at home continuing education credits on prenatal massage and it talks about breast massage causing uterine contractions.  also, massage around your ankles and apply pressure between the web of your thumb/pointer finger.  these are things you should only do after 37 weeks and i believe you are pass that for sure!  i'm not certain if it actually works--i did it for one of my clients that was overdue and she went a few days later, but could be just because it was time.

ash-wow, 2 weeks has gone by so quickly!  how are things going??  is he a good sleeper?  

update:  girls, i can't help but feel that it isn't going to be much longer!  maybe it's the pineapples!!!  anyway, the last 2 nights i have been having more contractions/cramping 5-8 minutes apart for about 2 hours, then they calm down.  last night they were stronger, but still not painful.  and i feel like i am having pressure in my hienie hole (ew, sorry!)--but that is what it feels like!  i think she is trying to come out the wrong hole!!!  for those of you that have had babies before, what did you feel like days before you went?  were your crampy and poopy (literally)?  today i am going to do fast laps around the mall and some bounces on my ball.

Well like I said castrol oil, I know my sister in law did it when she was pregnant and I think it really helped her to just fly through it.
here is what I read up on castrol oil on a naturally inducing labor website

Castor Oil

This oil is a laxative, and the intestinal spasms have been known to start your labor. Many women object to this method, however, because if you immediately go into labor, you could potentially have a messy delivery. Castor oil can also cause abdominal cramps, but some women swear by its ability to induce labor. The taste and texture is far from fun, so mix about 1 ounce of Castor Oil with juice or a protein shake. Your bowels should empty within about three hours, so be sure to drink plenty of water to combat dehydration. And don’t mistake it for Castrol Oil; you can buy Castor Oil at the drugstore.

An alternative to taking Castor Oil internally is to create a “Castor Oil Pack.” This involves warming the oil on the stove and soaking a natural fiber cloth with the oil (100% cotton or wool.) OOOH, I would NOT drink any type of oil!!!  Krissyy, with all your pineapple eating, that should be good (especially for being cleaned out-ew!  hehe).  the RR leaf tea (even though you don't like it) has been shown to help also.  You could have it iced with honey or something  :)  I drank it a ton (and still have 1/2 a box) for PMS and such before falling prego.  
Also, walking and using a birthing ball for exercise sound good enough.  :)

Sorry you all were just talking about taking things to make labor speed up, I figured I heard something about that stuff and you could put it in a glass of juice or something. Yeah DONT take Castor Oil LOL....You'll have the runs big time , which is why it works because it makes your body clean itself out , but sounds like your doing just fine without it! lol.......I dont know much about Pineapple being a reliable source for bringing on labor , but ya never know!....I looovee Pineapple , but I just cant eat it , gives me such bad heartburn like any other fruit!.....Get the Red Raspberry Capsules! Its not just for helping to bring on labor , its proven to help with a shorter easier labor , I dont know how effective it is drinking it only during the last few weeks , but cant hurt!!!......I have the tea ( got is this morning ) and I actually really like it , doesnt have much flavor so I added a bit of sugar but its good!!.....Im about to have my 3rd glass LOL....We went up the mountain today & OMG once we got about half way up I started to have bad contractions , like more painful than ANY ive felt so far , and they were about 2 minutes long & every 10 minutes for about an hour but since they have stopped , so im hoping the tea might speed things up here soon!!.....Im sooooo hoping for baby tonite , but we'll see lol..........Nipple stimulation has done NADA! lol We've tried it all , and so far the mountain seems to be the main factor in good strong contractions , if only they would last!!!! arg! lol........I read that putting evening primrose oil ( like breaking open a capsule) and rubbing on your tummy can bring on contactions , but I dont know much about Evening Primrose so I dont know I would do it , but I think you used that when TTC so maybe you know more about its effects and such?.......Im beginning to think babies only come when they are ready :( lol.......Im off to drink more tea & tidy up a bit , i'll post an update if the tea begins to work , if so , you might just have to suck it up & have a tea party with me Krissy LOL

Try primrose oil..they are little pills, put 2 in your vjj and it will cause you to start dialating. I did the castrol oil thing with my first, got soo sick!

Masons check up went well today, he is gained a whole lb. weighs 6lbs 12ozs now and measures 20 1/4 inches(he was 19 at birth)..he is growing like a weed, but still wearing preemie clothes. We are leaving tomorrow for the annual goat cookoff. (we do competition bbq'ing). Have never done this with a newborn..so we will see how it goes!!
He sleeps pretty much all the time, I have to wake him up every 3 hours to feed.

Krissy ~ haha glad I could be of some persuasion  hehe.....so far the tea hasnt done much , I went & walked around our mall , but it hurts to walk , it just feels like hes gonna fall out , I notice my braxton hicks alot more today/yesterday , even when standing which hasnt happened before & his kicks are getting ALOT more intense so I know he wants out lol.....I actually made my Fiance bring out my Gazelle exercise machine & ive been drinking tea & going on that lol.....next were off to my moms to have a nice bath in her Jacuzzi , I figure candles , bubbles & relaxation , along with a nice cup of tea & a tummy rub should entice him out , if not were back up the mountain until my water breaks first thing in the morning LOL......Keep us posted!!!

I am very happy today- 14 weeks!!!!  I am just awaiting quickening now.  :)   I know it can be anywhere from 14-20 weeks in which a mom feels her baby, and I'm thinking, any day now...
My body feels good today also.  Except I have this ravenous appetite every 2 hours.  lol.

My twins I felt fairly early due to that is common with twins, this one I don't think I was exactly sure when the flutters started I think 16-17 wks for me, but now she is just an active little person so cute=)

Katebud ~ Still here :( 6 cups of tea and nothing :( We even went & had a nice relaxing candle lit bubble bath last night and it did nothing :( I think I might have had a few bad contractions in the middle of the night cause I woke up a few times in some pain ,  but it never amounted to anything :(.........I wonder if Krissy went?? She hasnt been on yet today?.......I was I think 16 weeks or so when I felt the first movement , and about 18-19 weeks when I felt the first actual like kick or punch......Hes been crazy ever since though lol , he moves so much its insane , its awesome , but at times it gets bad.....My Fiance was freaked out the other night , I guess when I was asleep he kicked REALLY hard and my Fiance was like looking for a bruise mark or a wound lol he was suprised it didnt go right through me lol....It can be hard to sleep once they get active , but its such a cool feeling!!! Im so excited for you to feel it!!......Make sure your hubby doesnt take it personally if he cant feel it right away , I think I was like 24 weeks before my Fiance did & it wasnt very strong , but in time he'll feel it more than you will sometimes!.....My Fiance lays with his head on my tummy and the baby I swear goes right for his head and sticks his bum up lol , its funny!......I cant believe your 14 weeks already! Goes by sooooo fast!!.....Its totaly normal for your appetite to sky rocket after the 1st trimester , enjoy it cause around the last month , you wont have much of one at all....at least I dont anymore & ive heard thats common too so!

Jamie ~ Glad your back isnt bugging you too badly! Thats gotta be a bit of relief!.....Its funny how all our babies are so active , I know alot of people who's babies arent active at all , at least in comparison lol.....I wonder what our secret is :P.......Sorry your losing your patience , Thats never fun especially with little ones running around! But im sure it will get easier soon , just gonna take some adjusting!

so we are all still here and it is prob not only jamies patience that is wearing thin lol. i am over it. i have had gastro like symptoms today so dont know whether i have picked up a bug or whether my body is clearing way for the birth. it is normal for me to be vomitting but not normal the other end. i have been constipated for 6 months!! so today is a bit of a shock. i wonder if i will go into labor myself tomorrow before being induced monday. either way i only have 2 more sleeps til i meet my little one an i hope i get some time soon after to let you guys know how it all went!

update:  i just got a call from my doctor's office "needing to reschedule my appointment for this morning."  my appt. was in 55 minutes!  this is the second time they cancelled within an hour before for my appt.  by next week, it will be 2 weeks since my last check!  with it being a holiday weekend, i am sure i won't be able to get in till tuesday.  with our next baby, i am doing it totally hippy style!  i'm getting a midwife, a doula and doing it in a birthing center!!!

Thats insane that they would not only cancel without much notice but not try to re-schedule seeing as your SO close to being due.....Hopefully you can get in first thing Tuesday morning!!!!......I actually heard as great as a midwife is they tend to cancel or re-schedule MORE because they have to attend so many births ,  but at least your appt's are an hour and much more personal!.....I have an appt on Tuesday so maybe we'll both be reporting with updates , but I sure as heck hope we both just go into labor before then lol

hi girls....i know i have been mia but alot has been going on.  ok so i thought that my cycles are finally working there way to being normal again.  af showed light on aug 1..then heavier the next couple of days, no clots, no cramps.  then on 13,14 and 15 ewcm.  so i figured that i should have about a 14-16 day luteal phase.  well here it is CD30 and no af.  not that i mind, but it concerns me.  there is no way that i could have gotten preg in july, and had implant or break through bleeding that few days in aug.  and then to have ewcm.....it is just weird.  i have had a horrible urinary tract/yeast infection so have been abstaining...so i know i couldnt have gotten preg in august.  last bding was july 20th...or there about.  i am not getting my hopes up or anything but what could be wrong with me? why are my cycles not regulating and stuff?  i havent wasted money on hpt cause honestly there is no extra money for that, not even the dollar tree ones...lol

should i just wait it out, or try to see someone.  and can antibiotics (flagel) or dyflucan...cause the luteal phase to go screwy?  it has been almost 4 months since IUD removal so i would have thought that cycles would have regulated themselves by now....idk

any advice would be great, i am not really stressing, just kinda worried that something could be wrong.  and have heard of women having a almost normal cycle after conceiving.  and the numbers kinda add up.  if i bd on july 20 and spotted/bled 1-3 then it could have been implantation....but i always thought implantation was just a few drops....

You know its funny I got a yeast infection a week before AF was supposed to come, next week I tested and was positive!! I read up that a yeast infection is a sign of early pregnancy, don't ask me why they say that I don't remember, but they also say don' take that as a sign of pregnancy and just assume, but you never know...

questions: can being absent minded be a sign of pregnancy?

AF is due friday, I am trying to wait to test until then and its killing me already!! I dont feel pregnant, just af symptoms, boobs hurt and face breaking out. I do seem very absent minded in the last few days, i left food cooking on the stove and forgot about it and had a bath! I smelt it burning before any damage thank God!! I guess it could be from getting home from vacation though since i am running 3 hours behind schedule.
I am a bit sad b/c my mom is taking me to scotland in september ( this is GREAT) but the hubby and i wont be together during ovulation so if i am not prego now i wont be able to try again until october!! plus i have long cycles 31-33 days so it seems like a very long time!! I guess i shoudlnt worry about that right now........

well today was the big day! i spent 4 hours in a birthing suite with no doc showing up. when he did he sent me home as there were too many emergencies so they had to cancel me! oh my god i cried and cried. i had no sleep last night as i was nervous/excited and then a big let down hey. they did a sweep of the membranes and said i was 2 cm dilated with thin cervix. doc could touch babies head easily so thought the sweep would bring things on naturally tonight. nothing yet tho!! booked in for same time same place tomorrow - lets hope it happens this time!!!!!!!!!!!

joyce and jamie-that is funny because i had sinutitus 2 weeks before i got my positive...  when the doctor was putting me on antibiotics, i asked her to be sure they are safe since i was ttc, and she said, "people always end up getting pregnant on these antibiotics!"  she was right!!  ha!  i conceived about a week later :-)  good luck joyce!

hkenny-i've become an absent-minded ditz since i've been pregnant!  it's unbelievable the things that i say and do and forget!!  sadly, af symptoms and pregnancy symptoms are so similar that it's always a guessing game!!

I just wanted to tell you about a website that i found.
www.early.pregnancy-tests.com. i got 25 pregnancy tests for $10 and i got free shipping. i just got the test strips and not the midstream test, but who cares they tell you the same thing. i was going broke buying them so both hubby and i were really happy when i found these. they also have ovulation test strips for the same price.

everyone- i am going over and over in my head when we "got together" and wondering if we did it all on the wrong days! i cant believe how stressful baby making can be. i am trying so hard to not be stressed and keep trying to think it will happen when its ment to but man this *****!!  we did it 4 days in a row so hopefully the swimmers made it!

Hkenny ~ It is hard to know FOR SURE which days to do the deed , my best advice is just to do it as often as you can , every 2-3 days and 1-2 days when you know ovulation is near & even when you think your ovulation phase has ended , keep it up!.....Thats what we did when I got my BFP , I still charted for my own knowledge , but we just did it every other day and everyday leading up & into ovulation & I think a HUGE part of why I got pregnant was because I was so stressed if we missed our ovulation days or not.....We did the deed everyday! lol......Im soooo glad we had sex as often as we did back then because 14 weeks of bedrest and NO sex , sucked! so at least my Fiance can say he was well taken care of beforehand LOL.........Good Luck & LOTS OF BABY DUST!........Oh & I dont know about the forgetfulness being a sign , but I have what I like to call "mommy mush brain" these days , I forget everything , Im a space cadet 90% of the time & it doesnt get any better after the baby apparently LOL

Update ~ soooooo we ended up out in L&D last night at like 3am.....I had been getting really bad backpain & tightenings since about 10pm & I figured if it was false I could sleep so I went & laid down and things got sooo much worse , Rylen was moving so much it HURT , like I couldnt breathe when he would move & you could see my whole stomach moving with him which has never happened so intensely before.....So we went out to L&D mostly to make sure he was okay cause we werent sure why he was freaking out so badly nor why it was hurting so much....of course as soon as I stand up & walk I get thee worst pinching pains down there.....so did an NST & the baby was just spazzing , even the nurse was like amazed how active he was , he was knocking the fetal monitor off and disappearing so she couldnt get his heartbeat....Turns out just another lovely case of "irritable uterus" when the baby moves that was taking my breath away & she figured he was sitting on a nerve which is what the pinching pain & back pain was from but because I cant sleep & obviously was in pain last night they gave me a shot or morphine & gravol to help me sleep.....It didnt the trick for a few hours alright , now I just feel groggy , but not nearly as much pain as last night.....HOWEVER on the bright side , Im about 1 1/2cm's dialated so YAY cervix is opened!! Hopefully that means SOON! lol.....Im drinking my tea as we speak & were gonna go for a walk later , see if it cant pick up......I wasnt dialated at my appt last week so its a good sign & the nurse figured the babys increase movements are a good sign that hes moving into position & beginning to help me dialate more!.....So i'll keep ya all posted on what happens tonite! My doctor is away today/tonite which im kinda glad about so heres hoping I go tonite! lol.........Im done getting my hopes up though , I'll be 45 before he decides he wants to be born im sure! lol

someone told me that an irritable uterus is a good thing--meaning labor may be sooner than later!!  1.5cms is great!!  i have been at 1cms for almost 3 weeks now!!!  the first week was exciting, but since then it's been quite discouraging.  my baby is low and in position, contractions coming and going like crazy and still nothing!  i have all of the signs, but no baby!!  i know i will go overdue.  i'm done with being pregnant--the first 38 weeks were such fun, but the last 2 weeks have felt annoying and hopeless!!  i am so grateful for my little girl, but have grown to be quite impatient.  i hate not knowing when and wondering if i will need an induction.  i have learned that many of the same feelings and emotions that i felt when i was ttc, i am feeling now as i am waiting to have my girl.  3.5 days till my due date...  keeks, when is your exact due date?  is it the 10th??  or was that princesska's date?  all of our dates are blending together.

I was wondering what it was like when you lost your entire mucous plug??.....Was it in one kinda "clump" or was it all kind of broken up & stringy??.......I know I was losing little bits & pieces but I got kinda dizzy earlier & when I went pee & wiped tons of bloody mucous came out , I called out to L&D and the nurse said she thinks its from the vag exam last night but what I  got was EXACTLY whats described in my "What to expect when expecting" for Bloody Show.....so im not sure what it was lol.....No contractions so far , kinda uncomfy but im also still not all there from the morphine shot so lol........I guess we'll see what happens from here!............I know how you feel Krissy , I almost feel bad for wanting him out but im just so miserable!.......At least you know at 37 weeks & beyond all they are doing is gaining weight , which is great but at the same time I think its okay to want them out LOL........My actual due date is the 13th , Princess's was the 10th & Mandy's was the 16th.......I hope you go soon hun , im sending lots & lots of labor vibes your way!!.......Maybe we will both go tonite? wouldnt that be great!!......I hate the not knowing part too....but at least you know theres an end in sight my doctor wont even discuss induction yet & I HATE IT! lol........It will be all over soon , & then we'll be whining cause we want to be pregnant again LOL.....Hang in there hun!!!!! how exciting!!!  maybe it was your whole plug!  i had pieces of mine come out, and then the last half came out in a clump.  it looked like a snot loogie.  ew.  mine didn't have any blood in the plug, but there were 2 mornings that i woke up with a tiny spot of blood in my panties.  today is my 3 week anniversary of losing my plug.  i think you will go soon.  tonight i will begin practicing accupressure.  i will let you know if it works!!

Keeks-i think i should have more sex! lol we are basically doing it whenever the mood hits but then for 4 days straight right around ovulation. more cant hurt that is 4sure.

so this evening i started having ovulation like cramps on my right ovary. WEIRD!! i cant possibly be ovulating this late in my cycle, i am sooooo regular. i dont have anything close to ovulation like cm either. and the cervix feels hard and closed.(sorry to much info for some)
any idea what this could be caused from?
i am determined to wait as long as humanly possible to test.

thanks for the site, it might be something for me to check out at some point....i am started to be concerned with ttc at age 35...which will be soon enough. bday end of this month.  i have been told so many horror stories of birth defects and problems older women have during a pregnancy.  and it scares me a whole lot.  wondering how many are over 35 having babies and everything has gone smoothly....

My mom got pregnant with my brother and he was perfectly healthy little boy and she was at the age of 39, so our age gap is 15 yrs apart kinda weird I was an only child for 15 yrs and then wala, but he is 6 yrs old. So anything is possible.

Well yesterday and all night has not been very fun due to I don't know what she is laying on, but my poor left hip feels like its going to break every time I move or get up, and tossed and turned all night, and now I got a new pain a pinch nerve pain in my back I wish she would move over a little bit=)

hkenny- about loss of memory being a sign of pregnancy, lol I think EVERYTHING can be  sign of pregnancy sometimes!! Mind you my loss of memory went along time ago I think especially once the boys were born then it was for surely gone, then I got it back and am slowly loosing it all over again=)

If you can hold off the better on not testing that way you don't get stressed out of its a negative or you know just incase=)

Dont get discourage, my aunte is 34 and has a beautiful and healthy 6 month old!  her doc was concerned about her age but then said after wards she had one the smoothest pregnancy's he'd seen. she was in great shape before, eats healthy and takes prenatals. so my advice is to just be healthy. My auntes doctor even told her to have more, she had a great pregnancy and a very smooth delivery!

still trying to not test! strange cramps last night lasted about 3 hours and went away, i was reading up on it and it could have been the corpus leatum rupturing which would be no baby.........

Just depends on hormone levels.  :)  Hopefully it's soon for you though.  That baby will grow up and live under your care for the next 17-20 years....

I just started thinking about that today.  :P  I've thought about it before, but it's still sort of an overwhelming prospect when you sit and try to absorb what it all means.  And for me, I've discovered that it means one day at a time while planning for the future.  :)

joyce-you are fine to have a baby over 35.  you are still young.  i am 31 with this baby and plan for my next in about 2 years.  the risks do increase after 35, but there are so many healthy pregnancies and babies born to women in that age group.  don't worry too much about it.  i know risks really go up after 40, but there are still lots of women 40+ getting pregnant--look at all of those hollywood women!!  although i plan to be finished after baby #2!!  and hopefully i will have that baby around age 33 if all goes well :-)

hkenny-sex it up every other day, and go to every day around ovulation time girl!!!  enjoy it while you can, because after you get pregnant, you will want nothing to do with it!!--at least i haven't.  i know many women enjoy pregnancy sex but not me!!  it freaks me out especially now that i am in my last week of pregnancy.  as far as hpts--the best results are the day of or day after your expected period.  i got negatives a few days before, and the day i expected my period, it was positive :-)  so, don't give up hope just yet!!  there may not be enough hcg to trigger a positive test.

jamie-are you talking about hip pain like shooting pain?  leg cramps?  i had the worst leg cramps at night during my 2nd trimester!!!  oh, it would be miserable waking me at 3am and bothering me throughout the night!  it's the most annoying pain ever!  i started eatting lots of kiwi, drinking extra water and doing even more stretches than usual.  don't have much of a problem with it anymore (knock on wood!).

katebud-i'm fine, still pregnant and 2.5 days till my due date!!  how are you feeling???  time flying by yet?

Nope.....still here :(....and so insanely miserable!.....I havent stopped crying since my doctors appt which was over 3 hours ago LOL.....I dont know if its the hormones but one second im okay & the next im crying again......Just getting so beyond frustrated!!!!!!!.....My doctor is an idiot , She said to take Tylenol for the pain...welll Tylenol doesnt calm down the baby & hes the reason im in pain LOL.....He doesnt stop moving but they cause the most intense braxton hicks......She doesnt know wether or not I lost my mucous plug or if it was show , because it can be described either way with what I had....but seeing as im still only like 1/2 a cm dialated im assuming it was nothing......She refuses to induce me , which I never asked her too , but at least at this point she could strip my membranes or something , but she wont.....She pretty much said to suck it up ......She admits she thinks there is a problem with my hips , but again doesnt seem to care too much.....I think im overwhelmed because I can just see this all ending up with a c-section , and I cant do it , it scares me so much.....Im completely terrififed to the point I cant even sleep because I just feel like thats exactly whats gonna happen if I dont go on my own soon , like in the next few days......Im on day 5 of the tea , & I think it helped me to get to the 1/2cm , but it can take WEEKS to progress even from 2 or 3cm's so I doubt its ever gonna happen on its own.....Its just so defeating to have NO change in 2 days & yet be in so much pain & keep thinking something is happening.......Anyways sorry to ramble lol , im sure you better than anyone understands!!.......Hopefully this weekend brings labor for both of us!!!.........I will cry for you if I go before you , cause I will feel bad lol.......Just like i'll cry if im the last......How ironic hey Krissy , we were supposed to be the 1st ones & everyone beat us too it lol

aw, i'm so sorry!  don't worry about your 1/2cm.  i'm only a 1/2 ahead of you at 1cm.  i was 1/2 the first internal and have remained at 1cm the last 2 internals.  we are just creeping right along, very slowly...  i've heard that you can quickly dialate so try not to get too down on it...although after my last appt, i was feeling pretty hopeless at my 1cm also!  

my girl is really active--people keep telling me that when she slows down, it will be almost time.  she never slows down!!  she did nap a lot on sunday, but made up for it at night!  she's gotten so big that when she stretches and rolls, OUCH!!! i think it's silly doc told you to take tylonel!  you and i will probably need to have our organs repaired after delivery from our aggressive little babies!!!  

what's up with your pelvis?  do they think it's too small for the baby to fit through?  i've been taking the red rasp leaf capsules (just can't do the tea!).  i'm hoping they will do something for me as well, even if just give me a speedy labor and delivery.  you know that red raspberry leaf also decreases your chances of a csection.  i think you are going to be fine...you are just feeling done!!  and i'm sure it's frustrating because all along they were trying so hard to keep you from having your baby premature!!  and your due date is creeping up on you!  

don't feel bad if you go before me...i have somehow gotten used to hearing the birthing stories of the women due after me...although my heart chips a bit each time :-(  i don't know if you go on the 34 and under pregnancy page, but there are women due late sept/early october that have had their babies!!  and here we sit.  waiting.  hoping.  crying!!!  we must have some luxury uteruses!!!  oh well, it is still exciting to hear everyone else's stories and see pictures of their little babies.  it just makes me that much more excited!!! (and anxious!!!!).

Aww I'm sorry ladies, I was 3cm dilated at 37 weeks with my boys, and then they induced me a week alter at 38 wks and they checked me first thing in the morning and I was still only 3cm dilated, but labor went by soo fast once they broke the water. Well krissyy lol if I survived my very super active boys, who still to this day are active and all my organs are fine =) lol

Keeks- I am with you on that C Section thing girl I am the same way, but I am hoping since I was able to deliver twins vaginally I am having hope for this little girl.

Krissyy- I don't know it can be shooting pain, I think she is laying side ways so her feet are in my left hip side, and her head and arms are in my right=S not exactly comfortable when she decides its time to kick because she hits my hip, and it feels like a shooting pain if I move and its soo uncomfortable, and it can be just painful!!

Hkenny- Yes My hubby and I did it for 15 days straight before my positive LOL (too much info I know) but figured at this point there is no such thing=).
I am total opposite now that I am pregnant I have a high sex drive etc! Poor hubby sometimes lol

So we are planning to go and get 3d/4d Ultra sound done sometime=) I am excited that way they can hopefully for surely show us that its a girl instead of just the tech being able to see it and then she moves and when it comes time to show us she can't, because she moved..

i know that for someone who has never had one, the idea of a c-section is very scary.  but i have had 3 and if i ever get pregnant again, will have that one same way.  c-sections although are considered major surgury are not that bad, you are awake and able to see your baby right away after the delivery.  the thing that got to me was the morphine they gave me made me soooo sick.  but i know now that it was a slight reaction and so is now on my records so hopefully the next one i wont be sick.  
i realise it is late in the game but if your doc is a quack then get someone else to look at ya.  relax dear, that little bouncing bundle of joy will be here before you know it.

Krissy ~ My doctor is just useless , shes one of those people who waits for an issue to arise instead of fixing it when it happens , kinda like why she didnt realize 2 weeks earlier that the baby had dropped & my cervix was short , cause she chose not to beleive me and waited until there was a problem......I personally dont think my baby is that big BUT I mean measurements dont lie & if im measuring 2 weeks ahead of what I should be you would think that maybe theres a problem & I mean im only 5'4 so its not exactly gonna be an easy thing if hes over 8lbs....that & shes always making comments about how big she thinks he is....But whatever , I guess its just easier to pretend to care than to actually do something about it.....& its not so much my pelvis , I was born with Hip Displyasia (sp) so its alot easier for my hips to slip out of joint or to fracture than someone else's.....I had a hip brace & everything  for over a year to try to correct the problem & hold them in place , but ive had issues with them for years & she knows it cause shes my family doctor.....like I cant sit with my legs crossed & just simple stuff.....& she checked my hips yesterday & agreed there was a problem & they were the cause of alot of my pain.....but again didnt seem to care so I guess I shouldnt worry......It will become an issue when they either dislocate or fracture during delivery no doubt though because she let me go too far.....Im almost 39 weeks theres NO reason why she cant at least strip my membranes to help get things started.....& I HIGHLY doubt if after 2 days & losing whatever it was I lost didnt make me dilate more , that I wont.....It could take weeks to get from 1cm-3cm , and im not even at 1 yet so im just giving up hope......We've done everything I can think of and nothing is working , so I guess i'll just have to suck it up......There isnt much I can do at home & since she is so unwilling to help let alone listen im outta options......Oh well!!!........I soooooooo hope you go soon hun! I feel your pain dont worry! lol.....I swear its gotta be the most frustrating thing to just sit & wait on something like this , knowing full well it can happen but WHEN lol.........Im so excited for you though! I know you'll have a positive experience & I cant wait to hear all about it!!!!

Joyce ~ See here our c-sections are different , yes your awake but you only get to see the baby for a few seconds , and your arms are strapped down so you cant even hold it , and then your taken away to recovery for an hour , while your husband goes with the baby & bonds & what not.....which is the part I cant handle.....I dont like the idea of being seperated from the baby so soon & as much as I am ALL for bonding with the daddy , I just find it so unfair to go through ALL of that just to have the first hour of its life spent away from the mother........especially seeing as im stuck in some gross recovery room with other patients , just knowing that my husband & everyone is enjoying my baby & im not....& im not down with an epidural or a spinal , ive had 3 friends who delivered at our hospital & ended up with spinal headaches from a fluid leak or a mess-up & needing weeks in the hospital , sick to their stomaches all while trying to deal with a newborn....THAT & I live in a building with 4 flights of stairs , which will make the first few weeks increasingly hard without having a c-section.......I just hate that I know thats whats gonna happen & not being able to prevent it even though I KNOW its preventable.....It happens WAY to much when doctors know full well a baby is too big to be born vaginally but they push anyways & then need an emergency c-section & I dont know why......its SO much harder on your body to have a c-section after being in labor & recovery is alot harder too....so why they dont just induce at 38 weeks & better the chance of a natural delivery I dont know......They will electively schedule a c-section at 38 weeks , so I dont get the difference.......But thanks for giving some positive feedback on it :)

Sorry , im just miserable lol.....I've spent the last 24 hours now almost just crying & I dont even know why.....Just so overwhelmed & frustrated , I just hate that I spent the last 15 weeks doing everything I possibly could to keep the baby safe & carry to at least 36 weeks & now that ive done that , no one is willing to help me.....& its so frustrating being told week after week " this could be it"....just to have no change & everyone wonder what is going on.....I dont even want to leave my house because im SOOO insanely sick of people asking " Oh your ready to pop"..."oh not yet hey".....I swear I will never ever make ANY of those comments to another pregnant person again LOL .....As much as im sure people dont mean too , its gotta be the most irritating heartbreaking thing to hear day after day lol.........Okay but done ranting , anyways haha......Hope everyone has a good day & Krissy I hope its soon hun!!.....Im sending you lots and lots of labor vibes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ITS A BOY ITS A BOY ITS A BOY ITS A BOY!!!!! we welcome to the world baby OLIVER WOLF! well girls just this hour got home from hospital after a quick 2 night stay. baby oliver was born on sept 2nd at 6.47pm after a 7 hour labor. everything went exceptionally well. no pain killers or drugs for birth and no stitches needed (thats the best part cause i had them with the girls and i was so so so much sorer than i am now) he weighed in at a big 8 pound 6 and 50 cm long. he has a mop of blond hair and is so placid so far. i have to wake him every 6 hours to feed so he is a great sleeper! WE ARE ALL SO VERY HAPPY AND STILL ON A HIGH.  my sister was in the birthing room with me as well as hubby and she said it was the most amazing experience she has ever had.
keeks and krissyy how are you guys going??? poor keeks you sound miserable. i hope it is so soon for you guys!! ask any questions you want i am happy to chat about all the nitty gritty.

6 hours between feedings???  I would kill for that. I have to wake mason up every 3 hours to feed(but he actually wakes me up instead). He eats 4 ozs every 3 hours..if you try to do less he just wont have it and will be fussy till he gets that 1/2 oz still in there. Congrats on your boy!!!

update-i'm sad and discouraged.  still 1cm dialated just as i was the last 3 weeks.  physically, i'm still feeling fine, but emotionally, i'm all done!  my doctor offered me an induction next week but i refused it.  i want to go all natural and am afraid i won't be able to if they give me pitocin.  doctor acts like i am crazy for refusing, but i'm really afraid to be induced...but i'm afraid that if i keep waiting she won't come out and then she will be huge and i will end up with a csection.  i really don't know what to do and my heart and mind are so exhausted!

I heard and was told that, that drug they induce you with is supposed to be really good and really make labor come on etc.... Unfortunately for me I was on it from 9-4pm and I still was only 3 cm dilated so there for I did not change at all from being on that drug so I was pretty confused, but they broke the water and 5hrs later my boys were born.
I've heard horror stories of the epidural too, but I had no problem what so ever with it=) but to each their own.

dont worry hun, she'll be here soon! you know my aunte was the same didnt want anything and wanted a natural birth, they offered her an induciton too and she refused it. she wasnt even dilated at all at that point. next day went into labour and the day after that delivered all naturally a healthy almost 9 pound baby boy!! and she claimed it only really hurt for 20 minutes. if you want natural try your best to get it, i think doctors just dont understand (is he male?) i think they see so many women get the drugs now a days they dont understand some of us would prefer to do it naturally. our bodies were made to give birth so as long as everything goes smoothly there should be no reason why its not obtainable. pretend you are in the 1800's. :P

Hkenny is right, unfortunately there are doctors alot of them out there who try and force on us things, and we should have the choice to say yes or no!! I
I was going to go naturally too, until it was twins and I decided just incase I would take the epidural that way if an emergency c section had to be done I was already frozen!!
Maybe this time around I will do it without the epidural too, but I am nervous about hearing women who go through 24-48 hrs of labor, and I don't want to go that long feeling contractions lol

i went with my sister in law last week and alot of the summer stuff is on sale, she bought a bunch and then got a sweater to go over top! i thought that was a good idea!
i always wonder what stuff is worth it to buy or spend more on and what stuff is just gimmicky. i heard the maternity underwear are a waste of money, but its worth it to spend a bit more on jeans/pants cuz they will fit better?
also everyone i know who was or is prego has said to buy the pants that go all the way over your belly. maybe some of you prego's could enlighten us??

Krissy ~ Im really sorry hun , no one understands how ya feel better than me right now dont worry!!.....My Fiance came home last night to find me in the babies room having a serious crying breakdown & I ended up crying myself to sleep on his chest last night because I just couldnt take it anymore......I tried really hard today though just to be positive & hope for the best....but I admit every minute im still pregnant a little part of me wants to just cry.........As far as the induction , I dont think I would have taken it either as much as im miserable , I just dont like the idea , if everyone keeps saying **** about " it will come when its ready" then why would doctors induce?.......I think the best thing & only thing im asking for is to get my membranes stripped , because its NOT an induction , all it does it seperate your cervix from your bag of water , it doesnt cause your water to break , it just helps to bring on contractions & get things moving , on their OWN so you can avoid an induction , and some women have to get it done 2-3 times but for most it works within 48 hours & allows you to have a normal natural delivery , it just does what your body SHOULD do but alot of womens dont......I actually realized after re-searching it that most likely the nurse in L&D on Sunday , stripped mine & just didnt tell me or aciddently did it....because I cramped when she did it & for a bit after & within 12 hours I had either what was my mucous plug or bloody show....which is a good thing , especially for the 1st time.....so I would bet good $$ if my doctor would just strip them again tommorow I would be in labor by Monday.....but I doubt she will....& Krissy its not painful like people think , its just crampy feeling but I found it bearable.....Anyways the whole point to this ramble was to ask your doctor to try that first before jumping to an induction....Good Luck hun!.....I really am hoping & praying it happens for you soon!!......I really do feel your pain even though I know that doesnt help at all , theres nothing anyone can say to me thats makes me feel better , so I can only imagine how you feel!!!!......hang in there though , your not alone hun!!!!

Hkenny & Katebud ~ As far as maternity clothes go , I bought mine around 22 weeks , at that stage I was showing , but I wasnt TOO huge & I was pregnant in the summer so I had bought , 2 maternity tee's , one black one brown , very plain just for under things & what not & comfy ....I bought 2 pairs of capri pants , both of which had the full tummy band which can be worn 3 different ways & I bought a pair in black & tan....and then I bought one pair of expensive jeans , with the full tummy band as well.....all of my pants I bought a bit big & in the beginning I just folded the band down to fit tigher & where I needed it to fit snugger....then as I got bigger I just unfolded the band bit by bit & now I wear them with the band pulled all the way up , more for support I find & its comfier.....I never bought maternity underwear .....I bought a bigger size from La Senza ( dont know if you have that ) its a lingere store & they have super soft & stretchy undies so I just stocked up on them.....& then for bra's I honestly lived in sports bras' everything else felt too tight & uncomfy ....now though I wear my nursing bra's and an expandable bra I bought from Thyme Maternity ( all my maternty clothes came from there btw )......& then for at home , I live in jogging pants & old comfy clothes like big tee's & tank tops.....If you can find long tank tops anywhere GET THEM & GET LOTS.....I buy mine from Garage Clothing & I wear them all the time....great for sleeping , swimming ( hide the tummy )....and under everything cause they are light weight....I had a whole bunch before I got pregnant but I bought a few more in different colors lol......I dont think I went too crazy , I had enough actual maternity clothes to last me ( until the baby dropped , now nothing fits).....& I spent $300 I think total , maybe a little under or over but for me it was worth it & I found buying name brand helped because now they will last for next time.....Hope that helps somewhat!!!

Thanks to everyone for the maternity clothes info!!  Unfortunatly, I am going to have to buy stuff for work, not for me (as in fun times when I'm not at work).  :P  I have something called "Neat Repeatz" I can go to in about 2 weeks, at the fairgrounds here in Lincoln (NE).   I am excited about it, b/c it is a huge consignment sale/garage sale thing that women can either donate baby and maternity clothes to or sign and recieve 60% of the comission for the sales.  
I really hope they have some nice half-button sweaters!  and some black work pants, heh.

Today is the start of week 15.  I am showing a bit already, just because of the fact I had a tummy before I was pregnant...pushes everything up and out!  :)  
my next appointment is the 22 i think.

Why is it Girls are more uncomfortable to carry then even my twin boys were? I wonder if that is because you carry them higher up!!

Hkenny- Oh I am so sorry!! Trying to Conceive is so frustrating sometimes, my boys were 8 months of trying so I understand.

Katebud- Yeah unfortunately maternity clothes can be expensive, but sometimes we grow out of them so fast, I had to get my sister in law to actually make me maternity shirts near the end with my boys due to nothing would fit, everything was too short, luckily this time I'm not as big so it makes shopping a little easier.

i would love to announce to everyone that today is my due date!  and here i sit on medhelp!  the only good thing about today is that when random people have been asking me when i am due, i get to say, "today!" and watch their freaked out expressions, as if i am going to break my waters right there in front of them!  i wish!

jamie-i don't blame you...long labor with twins screams epidural!  i just have weird klaustrophic issues and have begun to freak out at the thought of losing control of my body!  

hkenny-thank you for the story about your aunt...very inspiring!!

katebud-try old navy!  the store near me has a maternity section and you can also buy online.  their clothes are affordable and cute.  they always have huge sale racks too!  to be honest, i haven't worn many maternity clothes.  i've just stretched out all of my regular shirts!!  they will probably never be the same!  i also borrowed some cute maternity things from my sister-in-law who has very hip taste :-)  i've also been lucky to be at my biggest over the summer...you will be biggest in winter and will probably have no choice but to wear the maternity jeans!!!  they were my biggest fear!  they all made my butt look really weird and long.

keeks-girl, i have a feeling that this won't be the thread we make our announcements on!!  can you believe that???  this one has gotten so full already and i'm thinking a new one will be started within a few days...  we better get those babies out quick!!  i have actually considered having my membranes stripped.  i'm wishing i would have had my doctor do it on thursday.  now i have to wait till friday when i am a week overdue already!  girl, i feel your pain with the mental breakdowns.  i have been one big mental breakdown over the last 48 hours!!  please see below for the icing on my cake...

an update that put me over the hormonal edge:  my friend that is due a week and a half after me texted me in the middle of the night that she was in labor and having her baby on my due date!!!!  way to kick me when i'm already down!  she is currently 6cm and sitting happy in the hospital.  that is all i am going to say about that or else i will set off the flood alarms again!  my poor eyes are so puffed up.

I understand your fears, lol my fears are completely the opposite=) I am so terrified of the burning feeling that you feel when its time to push, and then feel the burn and pain of the baby coming out=S that turns my stomach just thinking about it.
I think the contractions I could deal with without meds I know I have dealt with those without meds for 30 minutes lol, but the actually pain of baby coming out is yeah scares me=S. But like I always say its not the labor part that hurts the most I still say its the after part.
Aww its okay to be emotional, and trust me once you have your little girl you will look back on this and think how you had a break down because your friend had her baby on your due date and will laugh=) Its just a pregnancy thing, aww cute though! I can only imagine how frustrating it is, I was 36 weeks and I was walking around all thetime trying to get my labor going so that I could be done with pregnancy so I totally understand.

Wish I had better news but still here too :( & still sitting at 1/2 a cm dilated.....Had a doctors appt today & still nothing new.....She says she cant strip my cervix until im at least 2cm's dilated , which I dont believe I think she just doesnt want too but oh well......I had yet another break down after the doctors & sit here as it is trying not to cry yet again......I wish someone had said that depression was a side effect in the last trimester......I have never had any experience with depression before , but I pray to God I never have to deal with it again......I think this last week has been more trying on my heart than actually TTC......Its horrible :(

Katebud ~ For work , just get a few pairs of cute black maternity pants with the full band , Wal-mart , Old Navy , Thyme , Motherhood , they should all have cute dress pants , I wanted a pair but I didnt think I would wear them enough ~ i'd rather have cute jeans......and for cute like cardigan sweaters , try somewhere like Reitmens ( dont know if you have one ) or just like a normal dressy store & get a few sizes bigger & longer......You could even pair like a cute cardigan with a long tanktop underneath & still make it dressy & classy!......The big garage sale type deal sounds awesome though! Im sure you'll be able to find what your looking for!!.....Just make sure at this point not to buy TOO big , cause the thing I found was that my hips didnt get alot bigger right , and thats where you need the pant to fit the best , the band is more for support & so they dont fall down lol.....You could also try getting a "Bella Band" which is like a giant elastic that allows you to wear your pants undone & unbuttoned but still holds them up......I used mine almost to 28 weeks to wear my regular jeans :)

Hkenny ~ Im sorry you got a BFN ....but dont get discouraged , its still early!.....and as far as the brownish stuff , could be just old blood , your body could be just cleaning!.....Keep your chin up hun! it will happen!....& when it does I hope & pray that you dont have to spend one minute being miserable in the end LOL

Jamie ~ See none of what your describing ( the ring of fire & such) scares me .....Im a million & one times more terrified of a c-section or an epidural......I dont like the idea of not knowing whats going on , like not being able to feel......I would much rather be aware & in pain than all la-de-da & calm LOL.....Im weird though , im not one for pain meds & a quick fix for things.....However if it were twins , I think i'd get the epidural more out of fear that I would need it anyways for a c-section since Doctors dont seem to give much faith in a natural delivery of twins......But I suppose I cant say anything really since ive never gone through labor right? lol I might come back & say the epidural was the best thing ever , ya never know lol

Krissy ~ I think I would have a severe mental breakdown if a friend called me right now & said they were having their baby before me who was due after me , thats just not something I could handle I dont think , & its not that I wouldnt be happy for her , but I just wouldnt be able to mentally get over the fact that God liked her more LOL.....so I dont blame you for being devestated one little bit , I almost want to cry for you right now but I think my Fiance is ready to leave me over all the tears ive been sheding the last 4 days so I have to reserve them for when I really really cant take anymore.......Its just so defeating I guess its my biggest source of sadness , I keep thinking & hoping that my body is finally doing something , only to be told its not :(......Everyone builds up pregnancy to be something your body is "meant" to do , but it just doesnt seem like it anymore :(......& I struggle because ive been told for the last 15 weeks " oh maybe this week" and up until last week , I was sooo glad I made it , but now , I just cant take hearing " oh maybe this week" .....The lady at the doctors office who brings you into the room made a comment today " arent you done already or supposed to be done".....and I wanted to smack her LOL....the only reason I didnt was because she told me i've lost weight again haha!.....Can you make an appt with your doctor for monday to get your cervix stripped??......I would , because it might take 2-3 times so if you get it done monday & nothing then try to get an appt for wednesday & then my Friday if you need it done a 3rd time you should be good.....I personally feel its the best way to avoid an induction!......Anyways hun , I know how you feel , but im still here , just as miserable & soooo ready to be done :(.......and I hope as much as it kills me lol you before me , for your sanity at least

LOL yeah that is why I did an epidural was because incase they had to do a c section, I know a girl after me had twins and one twin she delivered vaginally, and then the other baby had to have a c section to get her out, and she said it was not fun due to she wasn't that frozen=S

I agree with the c section, I am terrified of getting that done, I am 100% behind you all on that, now the epidural I just thought it was the weirdest feeling, lol like I said getting your gums frozen at the dentist is nothing compared to that lol. I just thought it was funny that is all, I totally understand everyones point of view and their own opinons, and that is okay=) we do what is best for ourselves=)

I am so sorry the 3rd trimest isn't going good for you, I don't remember a whole lot from mine, but I know I'm getting miserable now, I can barely put my socks on=( lol or bend over, girls are a lot harder to be pregnant with I swear it!!

keeks and krissyy i am so so sorry for you guys!! i know everyday is such a struggle and seems forever but you will get there soon. i had my membranes stripped and that brought on cramping for a few hours and then nothing. but keeks you do need to be 2 cm dilated as they need to be able to get there whole finger in there to do it. krissyy yes i was induced in the end. i had my waters broken at 9am and started the drip of syntocinon at about 12. then had bubs at 6.47. i have never heard that being induced increases your chances of needing epidural and i didnt have one so all was good. even when being induced the pain only gets so bad at the end when it is too late to request drugs anyway. the whole pushing out part is the best part of labor cause it is like a massive relief to be able to push and have pain relieved by doing that.
update with me - i am suffering the 4 day baby blues. just a bit teary and over whelmed by it all. apparently it is all very normal and i had it with my others so hopefully i pick up soon. oliver is fantastic. just feeds and sleeps and most of the time i wake him to feed him. my girls have ony heard him cry a few times cause he hardly ever does. hope it all lasts!!!

Princess ~ glad to hear you & baby oliver are doing well! :) Sounds like hes a great baby , cant beat one that just eats & sleeps hehe! Sorry your having the baby blues , but ive heard it is normal , and im sure if it went away when you had your daughters , it will again!!......So your induction wasnt bad?.....I've heard inductions arent bad per-say just alot worse to handle & alot more scary.....But I have nothing to compare it too either so I really wouldnt know LOL

Krissy ~ If it makes ya feel any better , one of my friends whos due AFTER me , just had her baby.....I am pretty sure her doctor induced her too , which makes me even more angry lol not that I want an induction but my doctor wont even entertain the idea.....she told me today that if im still pregnant by the 19th we'll talk about an induction....I wanted to cry right then & there.....not to mention the 13th is my birthday & my due date & if I have to spend it still pregnant , I might not be able to function......But anyways , your not alone , I have one of those evil friends.....I am happy for her but so insanely jealous & upset over it :(

jamie-i'm with keeks, very scared of epi and csection...but ring of fire---yikes!!!  i deal well with pain, but ripping pain does freak me out!!  many people say that isn't so bad because your natural pain killers are pumping and it happens so fast...but i have a hard time completely believing that!  when you had your epidural, did that block the "ripping" pain?  i've heard some people with epis say they were still numb and didn't feel it, and others felt it...

katebud and hkenny-might as well just have some ice cream...even if it doesn't bring out baby, it will at least make me smile and go "mmmmm...."

keeks-i wish you weren't in saddness and pain, but it does make me feel better to know i'm not the only one feeling this way!!  it's like my body doesn't work and isn't doing what it's supposed to now, i fear when the time comes for labor, my body won't progress then either!  that is my biggest worry!!  and then i'm afraid it will stress my baby and we will end up in csection.  i guess i need to try to focus on the end result--meeting my little girl...but i just want to do it naturally and vaginally...  oh, and quickly would be nice too!  i've never heard about having to be 2cm for a sweep...if that's the case, i won't be able to have one either :-(  i will try to see if i can get in to the dr. sooner, but i doubt it.  they are always so booked, it's a shock if they can squeeze me in at all in the week.  when i booked they made it sound like my friday appointment was the only one available!  oh, your friend had a baby too, huh??  grrrrrr!!!!!  last night when my friend sent me a picture of her baby, i just cried and cried and cried!!!  i felt really bad about it!  i am going to the hospital today to visit her and i know it's going to be really hard.  the nurses are going to ask, "when are you due" and i will say, "yesterday...waaaaahh!"  the tiniest comment could cause me to lose my cool!  it will be hard to be in the hospital visiting a new baby knowing that mine is still in my belly and should be here by now...

princesska-oh that makes me feel so much better about the induction...everyone tells me, "if they induce you, you are going to be screaming epidural!!!"  is syntoncin the same thing as pitocin??  because pitocin is what they seem to give people in the usa.  oliver is such a cute name.  i wanted to name my little girl olive but my husband said no way!  i'm glad he is such an angel baby.  have you posted pictures yet??

update:  today is my first day over due, 1 day after my due date.  woke up the 3rd morning in a row with diarhea (diarrhea) and hope so much that means it almost time!!!  contractions and labor, where are you??????????????

OMG!!!!!!  a day after my due date and i think i am experiecing my bloody show!  i am crying happy tears for the first time in days!!!!  i am bouncing on my birthing ball to move things along...

it was a huge blob with blood in it!  i think my plug must have rebuilt and then came out!  pray for me girls!

Oh goodness girl I was totally frozen and could not feel any thing and I am absolutely terrified of feeling that "ring of fire" or whatever they call it, but nope I did not feel it I was more scared of feeling that then my contractions lol. But both boys came out and did not feel pain with either one of them so I was happy.
They used pitocine for me, but I never had any progress on it from 9am-4pm so they broke my water.

Ooo have no idea what a bloody show is, or what a mucus plug looks like LOL I never experienced any one of those, but hey good luck girl=)

no af today and no cramps to indicate she is on her way....very strange.boobs are KILLING me, and weird when i wiped earlier there was eggwhite cm sorta yellowy brown in color. never had that before this is day 33.usually af shows on day 31. but hpt was bfn.
i was thinking maybe the fertialid is making my cycle longer??

Krissy ~ YAY!  I can only hope thats a good sign!.....I think im losing my plug all over again too , but it was WAY different from this first time....Mine is just like an abundance of clear but kinda watery discharge & now theres some blood mixed in , so im thinking that my plug just grew back , but the first time I kinda lost it in like a big bloody clump of watery discharge , so I dont know lol...TMI sorry Ladies but at least for all the first time mommies & TTCer's ya know how LOVELY the last trimester is & what to look forward too! LOL......Here's hoping your off having your beautiful little girl & if theres a God , im not far behind you LOL

Hkenny ~ hehe if I liked icecream I would have probably eaten 3 dozen cartons by now.....But Fish & Chips did make me feel better the other day LOL....& Twiz bars are a guilty pleasure that can sometimes mask the tears......I think im in a better mood , but im also getting my hopes up that TODAYS THE DAY! lol.......As far as your weird AF , dont give up hope! wait & test again if no AF by monday , you should have enough hormone by then but you might be one of those people who dont show on an HPT test soon & need blood work to confirm before 6 weeks.....Is this your 1st cycle on fertilaid?.....I wish I could help a bit more but I got my BFP before I even missed AF & I cant remember if I had any "signs" near when AF should have arrived , I know 5 days before I had severe cramps & I was just so upset & miserable , and that night I got my BFP.....No idea if that is a "sign" or not lol.....Good Luck hun!! ************ BABY DUST**********

Jamie ~ Your kinda making the epidural sound good if ya dont feel the pushing LOL.....but still scares me more than the burning.....I think I almost kind of want to feel the pain more so I can appreciate the outcome LOL.....We'll see what happens ....Oh & about girls being harder to carry , I've heard that , which makes me think even more mines a GIRl LOL....BUT aside from being a wiggle worm & active as all heck , Skyler has been pretty easy on Krissy , Who knows I guess....Maybe she knows shes got 2 brothers waiting for her on the outside world so shes making herself nice & cozy & practicing her defences now lol.....She'll come out with a fighting spirit im sure! hehe!

keeks-the bloody thing in the middle is what i had too!!  that is a good sign girl!  i think a better sign than our first plugs which apparently reclogged itself!

update:  went to see my friend and her new baby in the hospital today--it will be funny if i go back tonight or tomorrow to check myself in!  i hope so!!!  contracting every 5-7 minutes since i started timing at 2pm (it's now 6:08pm).  they aren't very painful so i'm just bouncing on my birthing ball and getting ready to have some soup for dinner.  they don't like you going to the hospital till you are in so much pain that you can't talk.  and clearly, i am just typing away so obviously i'm not hurting that bad!!!  hopefully the next time you hear from me, i will be a mommy :-)
