Hi am doing good.  still no morning sickness, but my back aches, and am sooo tired.  bbs hurt something awful.  and since i did a number on my foot the other day (accidently splashed boiling water on my foot....minor 2nd degree burns) i have been kinda stressing hoping that the very little amount of shock my body was going into (teeth chattering but not cold) didnt hurt the little bean.  that happened 2-3 days ago, and there has been no cramping or bleeding so i think he is in there good.

I rescheduled my appt with the "new doctor" and decided that i will be going back to my regular OB....so my new appt is Oct 28 instead of Nov 11.  I will be 7 1/2 weeks at that point.

Hkenny- some doctors usually dont get women in until they are between 10-12 weeks.  I am getting in earlier because of history, age and the fact i have a incisional hernia which will have to be watched, therefore putting me into a higher risk catagory especially later on down the road.

GOOD LUCK to all and TONS OF SSBD

Well thank you very much, and no its not easy but I don't have a choice unfortunately. I am just hoping and praying that he will be able to be home before baby is born. Supposedly the lord doesn't give us more then what we can handle, and sometimes you wonder how much exactly does he think a person can take, and if you knew the whole story you would understand why I say this.
But I trust all in his time things will work out. (hopefully before this 11 weeks is up)

Hkenny- I am due december 15th and I only have 11 weeks left to go pretty scary and yet exciting all at the same time.
Now what is up with this nice weather we are having at the end of september here? Don't know about you but yesterday my house got so hot I thought I would die. I saw the weather and it said it was 26 out, nice, but not when your in your third trimester and hot as it is.

hkenny- my edd is February 27th, but I'm hoping for a healthy Valentine's baby!!!!!  ;)  My best girl friend's b-day is v-day, so that would be kind of cool.
Also, you went to Scotland, right??  Sorry, my brain won't let me remember.  :(

Jamie, I believe the same thing.  I know that you are going through the fires right now so you can come out as purified gold...just keep your faith and rely on God for everything.

Joyce----Yay!  Your baby will be here before it gets really hot!  that's gotta sound good ;)

Yah that is good that it will come before it gets really hot. We went through a nasty heat wave before september where it was almost 40 degrees out and it was hot and I didn't have air conditioning.

you are due 2 days after my birthday!  i am very very glad i will not be prego in the heat, my sister in law is due october 31st and she was miserable all summer long.
went to the doc today for this cold and of course there is nothing i can take, just rest and eat well. he said it seems more like a flu and it will be pass in 1-2 weeks! arrr if i have this for 2 weeks i am going to be a horrible person to live with.
anyone else get sick while pregnant?
Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
I did when I was pregnant with my twins, it was an awful flu it seemed I would never eat and I was crabby, but thatw as before I knew I was pregnant. I think I was 2-3 months when I found out I was pregnant with the boys.

I am very glad that i wont be real pregnant during summer.  I was sick with my oldest son, just a hacking cough, they gave me some sort of pearl type pills....

Jamie...was thier any way of knowing that you were carrying twins BEFORE a ultrasound?  just gut feeling that i released 2 eggs this month which is really weird.  not sure if i could handle twins, but was just wondering.

i am hoping that this pregnanc flies by, with school and such it should...lol
good luck to you all, ssbd and hope the rest of your pregnancies go well

Sorry Ive been kinda MIA , just lots going on....Man having a baby sure makes for ALOT of mail & things to fill out LOL....that & I have no joke like 56 thank-you cards to address & mailout , plus birth annoucements!.....It feels like I always have a pen in my hand & something that needs a signature .....

Joyce ~ The summer isnt that bad to be pregnant , I actually didnt mind it , it was the only summer I could look cute in a bikini while being fat LOL......and it was hot , but I didnt mind most days and we have high 20's & 30's almost all summer....only part I hated was it was always too hot to go for a walk or do anything in the middle of the day outside , but it was a good excuse to turn the fan on high & take a nap....I napped alot in the afternoons while I was pregnant for that reason......I wonder if your gonna have twins , ive never heard of a gut feeling but ya never know!!!.....Make sure to keep us posted on how everything is going :)

Katebud ~ A Valentines day baby would be so cute!......But you could have it on the 28th & it could be a leap year baby :).....2 very good options for a birthday lol

Jamie ~ WOW 11 weeks?? thats it!! Holy it goes by fast lol.....I rememeber when I was at the 10 week left mark & it was intense for some reason lol.....& then of course the last like 6-8 weeks DRAGGED on & I was miserable heck lol.....Heres hoping your more pleasant than me for the last  bit & have an easy time :).......Everything will work itself out hun , dont even worry & im sure he'll be home in time for the baby , if not....you'd better make someone pay! lol....I'll come down there & kick whos ever butt is responsible for him not being there!!!!!!!!!! lol

Hkenny ~ Have you guys told your parents yet??....Are you getting excited??.....Any real symptoms yet??....I cant remember if you are going to find out the gender or not??

Quick Update ~ Rylen had his 3 week check yesterday , hes 8lbs 14oz & 22.5 inches long :) So hes doing really well , above his birth weight & hes 2 inches longer :).....Hes so sweet , I cant get over how much I love him!.....We've been spending alot of time just me & him cause my Fiance has been out fishing and stuff ( Rivers just opened for the season lol)....I went out & did my first bit of running around & errands with him , it was kinda nice to have someone with me , even if he doesnt do much lol :)....My best friend ( the one who was in the delivery room ) should be getting induced on Friday , so Rylens girlfriend will be here soon!!! lol.....Im so excited , They will be almost exactly a month apart....Im gonna try to start going to some play groups around town & getting more involved in that kinda stuff , its not really my style , but I figured I would give it a go.....Were doing well though :) My back is still majorly messed up from delivery & now my hip is giving out & aching alot , so we'll see what happens with that , but no other real problems from delivery anymore :) My hemaglobens (sp) are going back up so I wont have to take iron pills in hopefully 3 months ( I hate iron pills lol).......Anyways hope everyone is doing well :)

Krissy ~ WHERE ARE YOU!! :( I hope you & Skye are doing well hun :) Thinking about you :)

Yeah girl 11 more weeks and that is it. I am so nervous yet excited, no I am not nervous for labor I figured if I can do twins vaginally without tearing or ripping, one should be a piece of cake right? LOL we all can hope. I will be nervous if they want to do a C Section then I don't know what I will do, people say it isn't too bad, but its hard to get pre pregnancy body back with it due to they cut your muscle tissue or something. I think in order for them to want to do a c section on me they have to have a really good reason, and I still feel since I delivered the twins vaginally this one shouldn't be too much of a problem.
I went to this site that predicts your labor and it says my labor will be 3-5hrs and she will be 6 pounds 8 ounces 19 3/4 long with dark hair and brown eyes. Funny my boys labor was like that, and they were 6 pounds 3 ounces each, and Gabriel was 19 3/4. Plus the dark hair would not surprise me I have dark hair myself, and brown eyes well they would all get that from their dad because all my kids so far have brown eyes. But the boys got my nice long eye lashes, which in a way makes me jealous because theirs at last curls, mine just stick out. Why is it that guys get the nice curl to their eye lashes??? Oh well.

Glad to hear that your baby is doing good, I took my boys out yesterday to the park and let me tell you that wasn't at all fun. They kept running after the birds and going out into the field etc and then heading for the school parking lot and picture a pregnant women running after them I thought it would look pretty funny.

we have told our parents and siblings, other than that no one.well i did tell my friend who told me first even before her parents on her first and she told me she expecting #2! we are both pretty excited our babies will be close in age. she still hasnt told her parents yet!

i threw up a few times in scotland but i think it was in combo with the roads and being prego, i have been nauseas at home but no throwing up and to be honest i would rather just throw up then be nauseas all day! boobs still hurt something fierce, i have been wearing a bra to bed since before i knew i was prego, oh ya and they grew a whole cup size already! i am scared they are going to be huge. before i was prego i was wearing a 32E, i got sized the other day and she gave me a 34FF. she gave me one size bigger than i am so i can grow into. she figured i will be about an H when i breast feed!!

tired and slightyl moody too! food cravings and food adversions. i never thought i would have so many so soon!

hope all is well with everyone!!

so i am freaking out, just found out that my sister in laws bnest freind lost her baby. she went in for her13 week ultra sound and was told her baby had dies at 8 weeks. i am so scared of this happening to me. i know i should just stay postive but its hard when this happens to someone you know.

plus my sister in law who is due on the 31st has low amnitoic fluid and the baby is already over 7 pounds. she has to go in every monday for an ultra sound and every thursday for a stress test. they wont let her go back to work. i am really hoping everything is fine, her whole pregnancy has been perfect up until now. i guess they can be wrong about some of these things, my other sister in law got induced b/c they said my niece was only 5 pounds and she came out a helathy 7 pounds the next day.

Dont stress hun! you can worry yourself over everything & anything that can possibly go wrong!....I had alot of complications almost right from the start , & they were expecting my son to be born at 25 weeks and he made it to 39 weeks healthy as can be weighing 8lbs 5oz....I had to go for NST's & ultrasounds almost every week too & I had a hind water leak they didnt find & all kinds of stuff , but everything  turned out great :)......Just try to keep your mind off the bad stuff & focus on all the good stuff!!! The 2nd trimester is when the pregnancy will get alot easier too so you have lots to look forward too! :)

Yeah, keeks is right. With my twins I was on bedrest at 24 weeks and being told my boys could be born at any time, due to my cervix was only 1.8 cm it was supposed to be 5 I think, then a week later it was 1.0cm, and I managed to hold out to 38 weeks.
The worst you could do I think is to freak out, I mean sure worry, but putting alot of stress on yourself won't make things easy. LOL coming from me the past 3 weeks that is funny. But yeah try not to worry.

oh my girls...you are talking about having 10 weeks and 20 weeks left....oiy i still have 34 weeks to go.  i am looking forward to feeling all of the flutters and kicks.  i am even looking forward to having to physically push feet and elbows out from under my ribs.  i went to doc last night over my foot....if you didnt know, i boiled it last weekend. dropped a pot of boiling water on it...got second degree burns.  anyhow when i went in to have them check my foot cause the blisters had popped i had them confirm, and it still doesnt feel real some days....edd is june 7th 09.  anyhow i will keep ya updated.  will be 6 weeks on saturday

Oh wow 34 weeks is so long! I am 22 weeks right now and I still feel like I have forever until she gets here! In some ways I feel like I've been pregnant for SO long already and in other ways it still feels pretty new. All I know is that I never thought about the entire pregnancy at the beginning, I always had some little milestone I was counting down to but they were always just a few weeks away. Oh and reading everything I could find about the baby for each week helped a lot too, it kept me occupied and I learned so much about what she was developing at the time. That's just how I kept it not so boring in the beginning, you know before all the fun stuff starts like when you start showing and feeling the kicks.

That being said, I have some exciting stuff coming up... I'm about to move back to my hometown (I've only been away for a year) and I'm so happy about that because I get to be close to my sister and my friends again! everything is so much cheaper there too, its way inland and right now we're really coastal. We leave in 7 days! And then once we're there I will have lots of furniture to buy and stuff to decorate so I will be happily occupied for a while. And we're also getting 2 new kittens for the new place yay!

and the next thing after that is my shower on December 6th. But I'm super excited about the entire month of December I LOVE that month! So I'm really looking forward to the next couple months and I'm pretty sure they'll go by kinda fast and then we'll be in January and I have a feeling I'll be having Emma in late january so wow! I'll be mommy in no time!

Tianna- Yay!  You get to move home!!!!!  I know that when I lived away from home (for college) I was getting back every little chance I could.  So nice that you get to move back.  Her name is Emma?  :)  Have you picked a middle name?

Ladies, it will go fast after the first 18 weeks...hehe.  Sorry, but it's just now starting to seem to pick up the pace, especially with the holidays coming up.  I am so glad for distractions!!!!  I think that is what made summer so hard for me at times this year-not too much going on.

Today is a good day so far.  Have been having lots of little sharp pains in my tummy..think it's baby trying to make more room.  :P  I woke up quite a few times last night.  I am not too concerned though, b/c I'm getting used to all kinds of strange little things happening.
Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
LOL yeah those flutters, I was never a big fan of those flutters. I thought it was neat to know that the baby was actually really there when you felt those, but I don't like the idea of feeling like I have butterflies in my tummy=). Plus with my twins when I had those flutters my whoe tummy would just feel like it had butterflies in it, and it was very uncomfortable and weird feeling to me.

Mind you now this little girl is getting big, and I have to worry about my hips and ribs being kicked or punched. Also sometimes seeing the odd elbow or foot its kidna cute. My boys never had enough room to really have too many body parts stick out other then their bum.

Katebud- Yes it starts to pick up, but then it will slow down ALOT again. Especially once the time seems to be getting closer.
Blank
491928_tn?1266181333
katebud-  YEA I am so excited, isnt home just the best! When I was little I always said I couldnt wait to get out of there and that my dream was to move to some beach and I thought it would be so perfect. haha, well I did exactly that and it lasted a whole year and I'm dying to get back home. Even when we were leaving I was so happy to be going somewhere new, but it's never felt like home here, I just don't feel right. I only have 6 days left yipee!!!!

And I agree with the whole picking up the pace thing, for me it started to go a little quicker at around 16 weeks though because I was feeling her every day and for some reason that just made it go a little faster. Oh and I am really glad about all the distractions coming up too, the holidays and whatnot. Summer just inched by, it was torture! I didn't look at all pregnant yet and I had the WORST all-day sickness. It was H E L L! I've never gone through something so difficult, and with all the hormones....I would sob and puke and sob and puke...not fun.

But now I am getting so excited, another thing I'm looking forward to is having Emma's things all around, her little clothes and things. I'm used to the idea of being pregnant, but the whole we're gonna have a daughter thing still seems really foreign and a little unreal.

We don't have a middle name yet =( I've been thinking so hard about it but I can't come up with ANYTHING! I need help who has suggestions?
Emma   _________   Fernandez.  Help meeee!

Jamie- Thats funny, I can understand you not liking the kicks, when my girl is kicking really hard I just remind myself at leats theres not 2 in there this would be twice as bad! But if she's being gentle I really love them, at first they creeped me out though! And thats depresing about it slowing down again...I want it to zoom by! I want to hold her already! I do like to think of it this way though, when you're due I'll be 31-32 weeks by then! In my mind 30+ weeks means... whoa baby is almost here! And I cant wait to feel that way!

i think the hubby and i are still not realizing we are going to have a little one in our house and in our lives. me being pregnant means i am pregnant, do you know what i mean? i dont think its hit us that we really are going to have a living human being. i just cant wait for the baby bump to come out, i am so excited for that, then i wont look fat juts pregnant. and i think for some reason it will make it more real for us like we can "see" the baby. i am absolutely soooo excited to feel kicks and stuff, i cant imagine what it feels like! it must be pretty cool, unless of course its in your ribs.
our current delema is that we dont agree on if we should find out, i dont want too he does. i feel bad b/c i know they wont tell him unless we both want to know. he gets pretty excited when we have the conversation, he doest understand why i dont want to know. i just think its one thing that can be a secret. i totally understand why he and everyone else wants to know but i just dont. how am i suppose to get him to come around? hes like MAD at me!! he thinks i am not wanting to know just to irk him b/c i can in this situation.
this forum has sure changed, i remeber when there was a bunch of us trying to get prego and now we all are!!

Yeah, having two in there was umm not fun in some ways, because I was full there was just no way to describe to you how full I felt. Plus I dropped at 24 weeks which meant I had 2 babies in like my pelvic area from 24 weeks until 38 weeks, it really hurt.
This time around when I was 16-17 weeks she decided she was going to make herself comfortable in my hip area, that was not fun. Now she is just every where and I get feet and what not poke out, and if she moves over a little bit you can feel that empty spot where she used to fill, its all kinda weird.

Hkenny- there is no actual way to describe to you how different having a baby grow inside you is, especially when they get bigger and your able to feel them. Seriously, maybe I can describe it as being more of an alien, I feel alien when she moves :D.
Are you sure they can't just tell him, and not tell you? I heard that, that was possible.
Girl it gets even more real when you start buying baby proofing. My house is totally baby proof, from my doors, to my kitchen cuboards, to I got a big baby gate that goes around our computer desks, I have gates that block stairs. Ah that is when it is really real lol=)

Well mason is now 7 weeks old, and is just an angel. he is getting so big..already wearing 3-6 month clothes. (growing fast for being a preemie). He is sleeping thru the night now..woohoo!!!   From reading for an hour catching up on everyone, it sounds like everyone is doing great!!!  Give the babies hugs and kisses for me and belly rubs to the expecting!!  When I figure out the picture thing on here I promise I will add them.

On a lighter note: I screwed my knee up again for the 3rd time...damn stairs and kids tripping me.  Get to go have an MRI friday to see how much damage I did. But have to wear my full length knee/leg brace to put everything in line for right now.  So uncomfortable and people look at me funny. and carrying a car seat and driving with it is an absolute chore and funny looking!

just wondering how everyone feels about vaccines? the vitiman k shot and eye oitment? I have been reaserching alot the last few days and at this point dont think i will let my baby have any of the above. an one else have these views? anyone have any comments good or bad? what has been the experiance for those of you that have kids that have had these things?
I am just trying to education myself! thanks ladies
Blank
491928_tn?1266181333
hkenny- I dont know if I will use all the vaccines. I am scared because I know they can be dangerous but at the same time i dont know which ones or how dangerous. Im just not sure yet, but as i get closer to delivery i will research all of it and find out. But im like you, im cautious of them!

And to everyone, GO SEE MY BELLY PICS! haha I've been meaning to post some since I was 8 weeks, haha im almost 23 weeks now. I am SO lazy! anyway I finally put them up look at my belly yay!

Thank you, i posted this question else where and boy people got mad at me!!  I am scared as well, because i have been researching and i tihnk its important as parents that we educate ourselves. Sometimes doctors are wrong! wow dont tell people that or they will bite your head off!! lol . if you would like more info let me know.
at this point in the game i will continue to do my own research and decide for my child what is right for it!
by the way you look amazing!!

Well in my college physiology class, we talked about vitamin K deficiencies in newborns.  It happens to about every 1 in 100, and can be fatal to the infant.  :(  I think the only major problem with shots and vaccines is how they are preserved, with the mercury and such.  You may want to see about having vitamin K administered to baby by mouth instead...I've heard of that as an alternative, but check into it.  :)
Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
your belly looks sooo small compared to my pic I posted not too long ago which is my 30 week picture lol, you should take a look I don't think you will get too big but who knows lol
Blank
Avatar_f_tn
i agree its not the actual item that is the issue its the perservatives.you can get all natural vitamin k at health food stores and give it to them yourself. i obviously dont want the baby to  miss something it needs but why is there glycol listed on the ingrediant list for the vit k shot? makes you wonder!
as a side note there is also vitamin k in colustrum so if you breastfeed from the get go perhaps its not neccasery? i dont know but i'll look into it more and see.
Blank
491928_tn?1266181333
Yea the vaccines worry me but I am definitely going to look into that more...

jamie- yea i am so tiny still but when i wear normal clothes, like not baggy pj's, i look bigger. I am growing kinda fast now so I might get kinda big by the end but who knows. Im sure my weight will fall right off especially because I reallllly want to breastfeed and I already have a super fast metabolism. Im getting bigger by the week now its so fun!

and thanks girls for the compliments =)
Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
Yes, I am the same way when it comes to high metabolism and what not. So I am sure since after twins I lost baby weight real fast like a week I think, and that is without breastfeeding you should have no problem too! My biggest fear was not being able to loose baby weight, but I managed too so that is good, which like I said gives me hope for after having this baby on it going a way.
Blank
Avatar_f_tn
i am very scared of not losing the weight after baby, in my opion i was a bit mover weight before i got pregnant. i had like 10 pounds to lose, the weird thing is my mom thinks i have shunk since i got pregnant! i just want to gain a healthy amount.
you 2 both look amazing! all baby
Blank
368690_tn?1284360853
Yeah I am scared of the weight gain thing and loss also!  :(  I was overweight to begin with, but am not really gaining too much (I think a lot of it is going to baby).  I plan on breast feeding for at least 6 months and taking the baby on lots of walks/jogs...I love to do both!!
I am just looking forward to being back down to my 145lb healthy range.
Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
Well, before I was pregnant wth my boys I was 125 and supposedly for my height I am under weight I am supposed to be at least 135-145 pounds, and then after boys were born abut a week later I was 120, and that is without breastfeeding, I am sureall you girls will do just fine=)
Blank
491928_tn?1266181333
I was underweight too before getting pregnant. I am 5'7" and i weighed between 116-120 (depending on what time of day i weighed myself). I was so thin and always felt too thin, but now I feel so much fuller, rounder and I just feel heavier (obviously because I am)  haha I have gained so much in my boobs, butt and obviously tummy. So i'm pretty sure it will fall right off of me, i am just concerned with my tummy. I dont want a pooch i want my flat flat belly back. I see some women who look SO pregnant still but they have like a 5 month old, the belly just stays with them. But i dont think i'll be like that.

Im also concerned with my, well you know down there being not-so-fun for hubby after delivery. I think a lot of women have this concern right? Im just like, how will it ever be tight  again? sorry tmi!  even if it does feel less good afterwards he would never tell me that, no matter how many times i ask... Ah this might be a little too much info for you all, but I understand your concern with the down there part after delivering a baby etc. I gave birth to twin boys from there and they were big boys for twins, and somehow we were on the topic of how after women deliever babies, down there is never quite the same its a little looser or something, well that is when he came out and said really?because it feels about the same or if not better then what it did before. There are exercises you can do down there afterward, and since I went to the gym afterwards that also tightens it back up a little bit:S

LOL sorry to much info, but I don't know at this point I think we are past that.

my aunte gained 45 pounds with her son and was freaking out to day the least as she was in great shape before baby. it took her 3 months to lose it all and she looks better than ever, as for her abs she does like 200 sit ups a day and they are tight!

k,heres my tmi question for the day: i am scared of doing #2 on the delivery table.my sister said she did and they clean it up really fast, but still i do not want this to happen to me, anything i can do to prevent it?
Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
supposedly actually alot of women do, do that on delivery. As far as I know I never did do it, but like I say to my knowledge.
I don't know what all you can do to prevent it, because they do ask you to push like you have a bowel movement so I have no idea.

jamie- Yea i dont think anything is tmi on here anymore. we all talk about everything! well thats good he didnt say it was looser after or anything. Its not a huge thing to me, but it does matter to me a little. i will do kegels like crazy if i need to so i dont get all blown out down there!

and I'm not too worried about the pooping. I mean i dont want to of course, but me and hubby have decided on me delivering in our bathtub at home so i wont have to be that embarrassed.  My hubby is the last person i'd want to see me poo but i think since he will be catching the baby he might not notice the poop. And if he does see it he wont care, its just kinda embarrassing for me. Plus how do you get poop out of a tub? I would have to like, drain the tub then pick it out? EEW, now that would be most embarrassing and gross, cause there is no way i'd tell hubby to do it. "hey hun fetch my poop out of the tub and throw it away for me"...eerrrr thats so embarrassing. and i'd feel nasty and ashamed. haha this turned into a rant....
Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
Yeah that was my fear because of having twins and that seemed like alot to come out of there and what not. So I was pretty worried that it may really screw that up in there, but luckily it didn't and luckily I didn't need stitches down there either so hopefully this one I won't either.

Tianna, you are so brave!!!  this is your first and you are doing it at home?  (you have a midwife or a doula though, right?)  I would love to have an at home birth, but after this one.  :P  I'm just going to try for medicine free this first time around.

Yeah, the vagina is a very flexible organ and can snap back to shape with a little work.  Some women have a hard time getting it back, but I've heard that most are fine.  :)

I weighed 182lbs before falling pregnant, so getting back down to 145 would be an absolute dream for me!!  My goal is to not get too much over 200lbs with this kiddo.  I think I'm doing really great so far!

i am glad everything seems to be going well for almost everyone.  i am now 6 weeks pregnant go for my first OB appt in 2 weeks and 2 days on Oct 28.

I was 170 when i got preg with my daughter, ate healthy and such, was 281 when i went in to have her 2 weeks overdue.  I got down to 250 when i fell preg with my oldest boy and was 248 when i went in to have him.  lost 25 lbs in first 3 months only gained 23 back.   and was 265 i think when i got preg with youngest son and was about 295 when i had him.  Hit 313 May 04 when i got married to youngest son's father ugh largest ever.....and when i got preg with this little bean i was about 235 have already gained 5 lbs.....

491928_tn?1266181333
jamie- I hope Im like you and dont need stitches! I dont know, somethings telling my I wont tear though. Well I think maybe having 2 small babies is easier than one huge baby lol! I'd rather do two  5 lb-ers than one 10 pound baby! OUCH

katebud- everyone has been telling me how brave I am! Well I am consulting with a midwife but most likely will not be having one at the birth. I am really old school like that. I know its not right for some, but being me and hubby alone in our home, light some candles, maybe some soft music...it's going to be wonderful I can just feel it. I have a really good feeling about this birth, like something telling me it will be just fine. Of course hubby and I are already well on our way to knowing all the precautionary things to do, pretty much anything a midwife can do we can do. I've been reading tons about water birth, homebirth, unassisted homebirth. and water birth at home. I've even been watching SO many videos and wow, it is so inspiring. Also been preparing for it mentally, confidence and relaxation are the main components. And a warm bath will help both contractions and my skin to stretch...its just the perfect option for me...

anyway thats why i fell in love with the idea. and seeing so many videos and how so many women have small complications that they fix themselves makes me feel reassured. Like cord around neck, not breathing at first,  delivering breech babies or twins... its amazing to me. so i'm not worried, im praying everything goes well but i'm not scared or worried. Im elated and VERY excited and cant wait to experience it! I'm very hippie like that...

Avatar_f_tn
wow you guys are fearless! that is so inspring, i always wanted a water birth and so many people are like cant you do that on yojur 2nd baby? some are like begging us to go to a hospital. but if you watch vidoes on water births they are so natural and beautiful it makes sence to me! i need to look into it more before making my decision, but i would love to go that route. i am a bit scared of the pain, i dont have a high pain tolerance at all. however i also think its your frame of mind like if i was to do a water birth i would be more mentally prepared for the pain b/c i would go in knowing there would be no epidural.
that is so awesome of you do be doing!

anyones boobs hurt so  much it makes them cry?? k, my right as always been a bit bigger than the left and even with the growing they have done with being pregnant this is still true, anyways the right ones hurts soooooooo much on the right side of it kinda where it meets my armpit. its killler. i have been using body butter to help the skin stretch but this is so painful. any ideas?
Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
LOL I always say this due to when I was pregnant with the boys I thought my boobs hurt..... then I had the boys and then you really know the feeling of having sore boobs, the engorging stage for me was aweful, they were rock hard no joke rock hard, and were heavy, and ready to pop, and eventually I woke up one morning wet from head to toe really, and this does happen. I actually had to eventually wake up in the middle of the night to pump because if I didn't they would leak all the time at night and wet my shirts fully, and yeah it was great=)
Blank
491928_tn?1266181333
hkenny- Yea those women make it look so easy and at first it made me think how strong and great they are..but then i realize thats the way it has been done for thousands of years up until a century ago, so what is so miraculous about it? I mean its beautiful and all but its not as crazy and out there as most people see it, i think birth is so natural and normal and people hype it up to be this huge medical procedure when its not. its not a medical emergency, its just nature! Well im sure you'll choose whats best for you, but please dont let anyone else pressure you either way, especially not into a hospital if you want to do a homebirth... its YOUR baby and YOUR choice. if some people feel more secure in a hospital then thats great for them, but I trust my own body than a doctor and I HATE hospitals so thisis the best choice for me, I will be relaxed and calm and i'm confident i can do it =)  I will have hubby talk to me to distract from the pain, and ill be free to move around and do as i wish...so im very excited about the whole thing i cant wait!

Also, my boos have begun hurting again recently. it is the same pain as the 1st trimester, and yea i get it all over my boobs, even into my armpit too and yea it KILLS me but oh well. thats the price we pay. it did go away for a while but now its back, but not as bad.  i nevr had a way to stop it, sometimes i would massage it and it would relieve a little bit but mostly i just dealt with the pain. sorry im not really a help with that one!

hi princess, so glad to hear that oliver sleeps well for you and is healthy.  i have yet to experience any real morning sickness.  i have gotten pretty nauseas at night a few times, but nothing to keep me awake or wake me from a dead sleep.  i am getting impatient that the days and weeks are not going by as quickly as i would like.  i still have 2 weeks before my first OB appt.  i am hoping once i start seeing the doc, that the months will go by quicker for me...lol

i am sure that keeks and krissy are very busy with skyler and rylen....i bet those two are getting big too.....lol

Joyce- at 6 weeks i was already in H*LL with the morning sickness so im hoping it doesnt sneak up on you. to be honest that is the one thing I am dreading about the next baby, the st trimester all over again...i dont know if i can do it it nearly killed me this time. I'm holding onto a shred of hope that the next pregnancy doesnt have such severe nausea..because it was so bad...it made life a living H*LL for about 7 weeks. i dont wish that type of suffering on anyone! haha so im pulling for you! and i hope the pace picks up for you too, as well as myself. the days have been just inching by since now insomnia has set in and i get 4 hours of sleep if im lucky. its so strange and im dying of boredom because i dont have nearly enough things to do to occupy 20 hours a day. its been like this for about 4 days now and still not getting better.

anyone experience insomnia like this?
Blank
514585_tn?1328743613
I am not experiencing any insomnia, have never had a problem sleeping.  as for the morning sickness...as most know, this is preg #6 and i have never had morning sickness with any of them BUT i do know that all of my other symptoms have been worst than with the other pregnancies so i guess i could start the sickies soon too.

Is it normal in first trimester to obsess with making sure there is no spotting/bleeding???  i dont remember constantly watching for it.
Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
No its normal, with my twins I had no bleeding or anything so I wasn't worried about it. But then we started to try and concieve (conceive) and I would check on a regular basis for any sign of implantation bleeding. I did how ever a week or two before my period was supposed to arrive had some light light spotting, and you could only really tell if you stuck the paper in a bit, and then it went a way about after a day or two, and so I was glad that it wasn't my period. Then once I found out I was pregnant at 7 weeks started spotting for a week, and got checked out everything was alright. But it was very very light spotting like I said light pink barely anything there, and you had to shove some in there in order to tell.

Like you Joyce I have never experienced morning sickness with either one of my kids too!!How ever I have heard morning sickness can come back in third trimester again.
Blank
514585_tn?1328743613
ugh, that is sooo when i DO NOT want morning sickness, third trimester can be miserable for some as it is without adding being sick on top of it.  i keep having little cramps around my right ovary but when i called my doc the nurse said it was normal probably just growing pains....tendons and stuff pulling...ugh

anyhow i am just really in a moody state today, been biting dh's head off all day, and all i want is to be left alone for awhile....maybe have a good cry...lol

i am soooo out of the loop!!  i read up on the other baby dust and labor dust page about a week ago and very, very briefly skimmed thru here so please forgive me if i miss something on my future posts!!  being a mommy has kept me so busy!!  but i love every second of it.  my babydoll is 4 weeks old today and still wearing newborn size.  her last dr appt she gained and was 7lbs5oz.  her next appt is on the 22nd.  i am breastfeeding and it is going great!  but my boobs have a mind of their own!!  many weird things are happening to them but it's quite fascinating!  skyler is a very good baby but she doesn't sleep much, especially at night!!  i am so, so exhausted!  i only get 45 minutes-3 hours sleep a night.  my eyes burn so badly!!!!  i think being a mommy of a newborn is much easier than i expected--i think it will get harder when she starts crawling and walking.  my biggest struggle has been the sleeping schedule--or maybe i should say, awake schedule!!!!  my incision is still quite sore from the csection, but is healing well.  i better go--got to make dinner and prepare my boobie bottle for baby ;-)  my girl is so silly!!!  she has the funniest personality--she likes to bounce her head off my boob when breastfeeding--oh, this is a random message and i am jumping all over the place!  sorry!  i think i am going looney without sleep!!  even loonier than before!!!  didn't think it was possible.  i will post more pictures soon!

princesska and keeks-i got you messages but haven't had time to write back.  i have been on every now and then to review but hardly ever comment or write.  that is a habit i will try to change because i miss you all!!!

krissy-so good to hear from you! very glad you and Skye and are going well...minus the sleeping part.

joyce- anytime i get any sign of a cramp i go and look for blood, there never is any but i know exactly what you mean!

tianna-i have had a hard time sleeping lately, seems like i am soooooo tired and go to bed like early 9:30 -10:00 and just cant fall asleep, then dh comes in and starts snoring so i feel like i get no sleep. i am finding that if i lie down during the day i will snooze for a few hours but like i said at night i just cant sleep.

jamie- you will be in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow, i really pray that everything gets worked out.

so thus far in this pregnacny i have had 2 migraines. i have been getting migraines since i was 13 so its not at all odd. however learning to deal with them with no drugs is different, espcially when i cant seem to sleep! i have migraines so bad i usually go to the hospital for a demerol shot. cant do that now and i refuse to take anything (tylenol wont work so there is noooo point) my mom told me to go to the doc and see if there is anything i can take, but i just feel like its not worth it if it will affect the baby. i am really really hoping i dont continue to get them. last nights was bad, had to leave thanksgiving dinner early!

Yes, I have heard boobs do some crazy things after baby is born. My friend when she had hers a cat meowing would make her leak out milk haha that is too funny.

I know what you mean about being tired and what not. My boys when they were born didn't sleep well actually, mind you they still don't sleep very good and are up at night quite a few times, especially since things have gone loopy around here without their father around. Hopefully that will all change tomorrow though.
Also, thank goodness my siter in law was here this morning, I have been running on lack of sleep due to my current situation and my body just shut down and I could not do anything but sleep, and luckily she was here and let me sleep and watched my kids as well as hers so that I could sleep in. It was nice, but still tired.

Sorry ive been MIA , we've had a busy weekend , my little sister was home for Thanksgiving & it was her first time seeing Rylen & then my Papa had 2 strokes on Sunday , My mom got bit by our cat ( the dog came running when my mom was holding her ) & her hand is all infected & now she has to go to a plastic surgeon to get them to cut it open & clear out the infection , Rylen & I are both sick as heck , My Fiance got the bug first & Rylen & I ended up with it , so hes miserable plus just totaly out of his schedule because of all the commotion & we havent really been home in like 4 days so hes not doing well , I had quit smoking when I found out I was pregnant & doing really good but now this stuff with my family & just imense stress , ive started again which ***** ....UGH everything just bites right now lol......But anyways im still alive & were all doing okay!.....We leave next month for Nova Scotia & im STRESSED about that because not only is a difference time zone , but new people for Rylen & none of his own stuff , plus a 13 hour plane ride , on top of everything else :( I WANT TO CRY! lol

Rylen is still awesome as can be! he sleeps from about 12 30 - 6 30 give or take an hour & goes back down within 2 hours until 11 or so , its great , my sleep is still lacking I think from being pregnant but we make it work....He talks alot now , coo's & makes little noises , its so cute! He smiles now too.....LOVES his playmat & the Simpsons , I think its the bright bold colors of the Simpsons but hes always glued too it & Cops , the flashing lights I think....He doesnt even cry hardly just whines & makes grumpy faces lol....last appt he was 9lbs 7oz , I bet hes over 10lbs now....hes in the 50% for weight & 75 % for length & head which is awesome!.....Were just now making the transition from newborn & 0/3 month clothes into the 3 month stuff.....I had to go get new sleepers tonite for him.....but anyways enough about us!

Jamie, I hope that things get better hun, and that Olivia stops the biting, i have heard it is a phase, but i have never really had a problem with my kids with it.  has anything changed at home that would make her do that?  have heard that if a child is stressed that it can make them basically be mean....idk

How are you feeling? That must have been scary! I hope you are doing better.

So I am scared, in a good way I guess....The Hubby and I are sure I am showing. At 11 weeks it is way to early. I would say that since Monday it seems like I have "popped" a sweater I wore on thanksgiving sunday (last sunday) i look so pregnant in now. I am scared b/c twins run in my family, my grandmother had 2 sets of twins ( they both died) from the research I have been doing if your immediate family member had wtwins such as mother or grandmothers you have a 1/17 shot. and that number goes up the more twin pregnacnys there was. I guess I just never really thought about twins. The hubby and I have been talking about it and I think we are now ok with the idea, but I am looking forward to nov 6 to see how many are in there.
When did everyone else start showing? I heard the norm is 4 months.Jamie did you show earlier with your boys>?
Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
I am feeling okay tired, and it was very scary.
I showed early with both pregnancies actually. With this one I was showing at 6 weeks, so in a way I wouldn't be too worried about it. I didn't find out I was having twins until I was 19 weeks pregnant. I was definitely bigger with my twins especially at this point. But like I said this pregnancy I showed at 6 weeks.

i stopped into the doc office today to make an appointment and he went ahead and fit me in for "a quick look"....i have posted a ultrasound pic....i am confirmed 8 weeks.

all seems to be going well except that he stated that it looks like the placenta might be a little bit over the cervix, and as far as i know, since i am a c-section anyhow it shouldnt be a problem unless i start to bleed or something...i hope it all goes well.  but in the ultrasound you can see the yolk sac and the baby...i am soooo excited, i go in Nov 18 for a full appointment and a 12 week scan.

514585_tn?1328743613
jamie, i sure hope so but i just have this feeling it is a girl, but then again i still have a feeling it is twins, but the doc said he only saw one.....idk, could one be hiding behind the other??? lmao
Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
Well trust me I had myself totally convinced I was having a boy when I went in for my first ultrasound at 22 weeks, I was very convinced I was carrying low, the heart rate was what my boys was, and I had no morning sickness again, and supposedly with boys you don't get morning sickness like you do with girls.... But, I heard that also isn't exactly true as well. But anyway, so when the tech told me it was a girl I was very shocked haha.
Its possible, but with technology today most times if they only see one I am sure they only see one. I think its very rare when they miss seeing them both.
Blank
514585_tn?1328743613
lol jamie
as for the morning sickness thing, lol, i didnt have any at all for my girl or 2 boys...and really no morning sickness with this one yet, just nausea is all.... i am not ready to buy pink frilly clothes yet, i will wait until my later ultrasounds....they will probably do one at every appt since i probably will be high risk....i have a appt with general surgeon to look  at hernia on Nov 11 and 12 week appt with OB on Nov 18....so things are rolling now...lmao
Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
It is always nice when you don't have morning sickness, espeically if you have 2 little ones running around it certainly made my life easier that way.
I hope everything goes well with you seeing your surgeon, I was high risk with my boys and was on bedrest from 24 weeks till 38 weeks it was great fun=).... not really. If i had to go on bedrest this time around I would be screwed.
Blank
514585_tn?1328743613
What made you high risk???  the nurse i talked to said something about possible bedrest from about 5-6 months which would be (20-24 weeks)....ugh

Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
twins and my cervix started shortening at 24 weeks, it was 1.8 cms it is supposed to be 5cms or something, and then by 28 weeks it was 1cms short so I was high risk of giving birth at 24 weeks, they constanlty told me I wouldn't make it to 28 weeks, and then I did then told me I won't make it to 32, and then 36, but I made it to 38 and had two 6 pound boys.
Blank

Hkenny ~ I wouldnt worry about it , I started to show around 20 weeks , like noticeably , but around 14 weeks I had that akward looking fat but not pregnant lol......That part SUCKED I would rather have a pregnant tummy at 11 weeks than just an awakward fat ponch until the 2nd trimester LOL.....If you were measuring big then I would think maybe twins but showing & measuring are 2 different things so its probably okay :)

Joyce ~ YAY for a sneak peek at the bean! How exciting! Why do you think its twins?....Hope all goes well with your Surgeons appt.....Why are you high risk & why do they think you'll need bed rest between 5-6 months??....I sure hope you dont need bed rest it *****!

Jamie ~ Hows everything going with the family hun? Hope its getting easier!.....Your almost done girl! damn lol your pregnancy went by 10x faster than mine it seems haha!!.....Have you decided for sure on a name now?.....Oh man the pregnancy you had with the twins was like mine , dont you HATE it when they constantly tell you "its gonna be soon" and then you make it past that point & you think your doing good only for them to be like " okay now your not gonna make it to here"....Pissed me off everytime LOL

Katebud ~ Tommorows the big day ? or did it already come & go?....Im so excited to find out what your having! I still say GIRL :)

Quick Update ~ Things still kinda suck around here but im sure it will get better , I have to testify in my friends trial from a car accident like 5 years ago & im NOT happy , they want me to leave Rylen for a whole day to do it & I flat out refused cause im still breastfeeding , so now they've supenaded (sp) me to a video testimony which still ***** but i'll take what I can get I guess....Rylens doing great , hes 10lbs 2oz, but hes not chubby just LONG lol.....He smiles now & makes all kinds of noises! I just adore him!......Anyways I gotta go eat dinner before the munchkin wakes up! Hope your all doing well :)

keeks,
i was told that between 5-6 months i will be put on bedrest til the end of the pregnancy....this by a nurse NOT my doctor,  I am high risk because of age, i have a HUGE incisional hernia that goes along my c-section incision.....AND i lost 2 pregnancies in the 5th month.  and it is just a gut feeling, about twins, but the doc said that at this point if it shows only one on the u/s then there is only one...idk, maybe my intuition is messed up because of the bean....lol

Yeah, it was a **** off, and then 36 weeks I figured I would give up bedrest and walk my butt off!! Which I did do. Everytime I got up or sat down being pregnant with my twins there was so much pressure on my tail bone that I thought it would snap in half everytime I did those things it was nasty. Luckily this time around I don't have that.

Ok, so after my youngest ds was born, i gained some weight, when my ex and i got married in 04 i topped at 313....i lost nearly 100 lbs in 2-3 yrs...which i have started to gain some back, but it is to be expected....anyhow, after losing the weight i had a slight "apron" that hung down.  Well today i noticed that the middle part of this "apron" is no longer hanging...i am not sure if i am starting to show already or if my hernia is being pushed out by my uterus a little.  i decided to keep the appt.  with my regular OB just to have him check it since i have been going to him since ds was born in 02 and he was the one who told me i had a hernia to begin with. I go on tuesday the 28th so hopefully he can reassure me that the hernia is NOT gonna cause me problems.  anyhow just thought i would share that with you.

im with ya i'll post just to post!
felt like garbage today, did not sleep at all last night, went for lunch with my dad and could hardly eat,at least compared to normal. came home and slept from 2-6. ate the rest of my lunch and felt sooo bloated and gross. i thought this was suppose to end at 12 weeks??? lol

how is everyone else doing?

went to my regular OB yesterday, and when they did the u/s they told me the heartrate which was around 186....is that good?  i think i am going to continue to go to him, as the other doc was ok, but i just didnt care much for him, and so the only thing we will have to really worry about is finding someone to keep the other kids for a few days while i am in the hospital.  but i still have time for that.

jamie....you are braver than i am, i have actually gotten a speech from my kids' pediatrician before because i do not believe in the flu shots.  I have a friend who is a nurse and she informed me that the flu shots doesnt prevent the strain of flu that has killed people.  So i opt out of it....my kids have NEVER had the flu and they are now 6,11 and 14...lol

hkenny....i am not sure about the bloating as i really am not sure if i have ever felt bloated before...lol....not sure what it would feel like, but yesterday when i got home i was sooooo hungry that i ate and ate and felt really full and yucky.  and then i was sooooo thirsty, i am always thirsty....and i drank 3 16oz bottles of water in a 15 min period and so felt waterlogged.....is that the bloating feeling????

anyhow i hope all is well with everyone and i will keep as updated as possible.

Well my prenatal appointment went well, heard the heart beat, and I guess she is growing so that is good. I got my ultra sound next tuesday and we plan to get a 3d scan so I am pretty excited about that, hopefully she will be in a position so we can get a good face shot, and they can show me the sex of her. The lady last time said she saw that it was a girl, but when she went to go show us the baby she had moved by then. I don't doubt that it is a girl though, it feels a little different then my boys so that is okay.

Yeah, my husband and I got them my husband has crohn's so his immunity system *****, so he got one, and I got one and just decided my kids would get one. My kids are more prone to ear infections though, they don't really get sick too much.

Well, my next prenatal is on the 11th, its kinda scary I have a little over a month left to go. november 15th will be exactly a month until baby comes, I am getting so nervous. I am not usually worried about labor due to I know what to expect due to my boys so that is good. When I was pregnant with my twins I absolutely feared labor from day one, and prayed it would be easy and painless, and luckily that is exactly how it turned out.

Also Joyce, I am pretty sure 186 for your heart beat is pretty good. Mine have ranged from 128 and 160. Supposedly girls heart rates are the ones that are higher, but I know a lady who is having a boy and his heart rate was 170 so.

I am sooooooo thirsty too, its crazy, if I am not drinking water I feel so parched. When I wake up in the morning my mouth is so dry its gross. At least I am not the only one!

hkenny, no you are not the only one, i have heard that there are alot of preggo ladies who are constantly thirsty....i just feel like i cant eat as much because i am drinking so much water...lol

jamie.....i have checked EVERY gender predictor that i can find and they all say GIRL  and although no matter what it is i will be thrilled with a healthy and happy baby...i would prefer a boy....boys are just soooo much easier than girls.  oh well i will recieve the baby that i am meant to have whether it be a boy OR girl....but the u/s tech is about 99% sure there is only ONE
Blank

It is normal, yet I find myself more hungry through out all my pregnancies then I ever was thirsty or maybe it is just equal???.. who knows. The other day I was more thirsty then I was hungry. With my twins I had the weirdest craving, when I smelt laundry I would crave ice, it was kinda weird. THen again I read on some sites of women craving bleach, and gasoline???.. that to me sounds funny, and of course don't give in to those cravings haha.

Joyce- I did those gender predictors too!! and they all said I had a 50% chance of having a girl, well that was not helpful because that left me with another 50% of having a boy haha. Mind you the way I am carrying this baby, and everything is like you would carry a boy. So I don't believe in the old wives tales about how you carry, heart rates or anything for boys and girls. I think that is all hog wash, they also say your more sick with girls too!! Well I haven't gotten sick or nauseous with my boys or this one so. LOL and yes unfortunately if the tech says they are 99% sure there is just one, you probaby only got just one in there. Its actually alot easier to tell when your not as far along, then when you are. LOL maybe you just want twins really badly, I don't know. But, I don't think the tech would say they are 99% sure if they weren't.

well today kinda sucked, i had alot of stabbing pain low in my stomach, i was out with a friend who just had a baby and she said she had that alot at this stage so i am not worried, but it has been painful.

i did all the gender predictors as well and they ALL say boy,i thought that it was a boy even before that.
Blank

hkenny, yes as much as i want another boy, i have had a feeling it is a girl as well.  i picked up a bebe doppler monitor yesterday, at a consignment shop for like $12.  I wont be able to use it for a while yet, but it is kool that i can use it before too much longer, 12 weeks i think is when you can start getting heartbeat on doppler...???

jamie, yeah i did want twins pretty bad, only because this is dh's first and our last, and i was hoping for one of each....lol....too bad we can't just put in a order before we conceive and get what we want...lol
Blank
460550_tn?1249850492
Yeah no doubt eh? LOL, if I could of ordered I don't think I ever imagine myself ordering two at once, but now that I have them, I woudln't change it for the world. Its so funny I hear people and they say "Oh I couldn't imagine doing twins, double everything, and I can barely handle one, etc" I laugh because to be honest I don't remember them being that bad. I mean yes double some stuff, but you don't have to double everything. Like bouncy seats I had one, and one swing, they took turns in it. I didn't buy two jolly jumpers they just have one, and then a round thing that they sit in and play. Oh and when it comes to toys yes when they get older um somethings you do have to buy double of everything because they learn to fight and want what the other one has, and quite frankly some days I can go bloody well insane with the way these two constantly fight over toys, and then again hey you can have 2 of the same toy and they still manage to fight over it.
How many boys do you have? Boys are I heard harder when they are little, but easier for teenage years then what girls are, I am kinda hoping this girl is nothing like me for teenage years=S

Hkenny- It could be normal I think. I don't really remember what happened in the first trimester for me. But then again your uterus is stretching and since this is your first your body hasn't experienced this before. I know if its your second baby or what not your body is kinda already stretched and knows what it is supposed to be doing, I guess that is another reason they say your second baby just kinds of slides out. You know I am hoping that is the case, because I want a painless birth like I had with my twins=)..... one can hope right.

Well hope everyone is doing well I have a month and 2 weeks left to go, its coming close.

jamie, i have 2 boys and they were good as babies, and toddlers and now they are not too bad as school aged (6 and 11) but my daughter was a good  baby, but once she hit 2 it was all down hill.  i dont know if alot had to do with my mum spoiling her (badly) or what, but now as a teenager, well let's say that she gives a whole new meaning to being incoragable(spell wrong) and i am not looking forward to her higher teen years as she is only 14 now.  omg

hkenny, i dont remember any major pain with my first pregnancy at all....nor with my first full term pregnancy.  in fact what i remember (up until this one) except for the missed periods and occassional mood swings, you could hardly tell i was pregnant with any of them.  this one, here i am at almost 9 weeks, and i look 5 months...but that is primarily due to the hernia i think....lol

So I have a bit of delima, its kinda dumb really, but I thought I would get your guys opinion. As of right now (12w2d) we have told family and close close friends. For those of you who have facebook I was going to post in my status something about being pregnant after my first doctors appointment which is next thursday. I had thought all along I would email all my highshcool girlfreinds and let them know before. out of the 6, 3 were in my wedding party, I say highschool freinds b/c quite honestly we arent really close anymore. You know I see them on weddings and birthday only. I went to a wedding on oct4 with them all and of course didnt drink, (said i was on antibiotics) at the dance everyone was having a great time and dancing up a storm, sober me was sitting at the table with hubby. :) anyways i was going to say something along the lines of sorry i was such a bore at kaylas wedding but I am pregnant! now I am wondering if I should tell them in email or if maybe its ok for them to find out on facebook just like everyone else. For some reason i was thinking oh i should tell them sepertely b/c they are my freinds, but really they arent.....I dont know what to do!! please help

2nd- i have a freind, who is trying to get pregnant and has been since january, her and i had talked alot of it b/c i chart and she was asking some questions, and for a few months was trying myself. She has been off the pill since Jan didnt get a period, so the doc gave her some meds to get one in august and now they think she is not ovulating.I plan on phoning her in the next few days to tell her i am pregnant, she is someone that needs to hear it from me, i just dont really know how to say it, its touchy b./c she has been trying for so long....any thoughts?

Well, to be quite honest if they aren't really your friends, but you feel they should know then I guess you really don't have to go and tell each one of them by themselves, I think an email to all of them would be as good as any way of telling them really. Also, lol to be honest if they thought you were boring at the wedding due to you weren't drinking and getting drunk and making a fool out of yourself, I think that sounds kinda bad. Once I quit drinking, drugs and smoking etc all the people I used to hang out wtih stopped wanting to hang out with me, because I was not as fun anymore. So yeah I know totally different situations your pregnant and I chose to quit lol.

Also, about telling this girl who has been trying forever etc, well unfortunately I really don't think there is going to be an easy way to tell her. Especially if you have only been trying for such a short time, and it is still taking her awhile. I don't know too much about the situation I am suspecting this is their first? It is quite normal for women just getting off birth control to not get pregnant right  away. Actually it is very rare that women get pregnant just coming off birth control. Most times it can take up to 3-6 months to regulate again etc, so its not that uncommon, also women in general have a hard time conceiving most times it takes up to a year for their first baby. My boys it took me long 8 months to conceive them. But in a way if she was a friend she would be happy for you one way or the other, so just be honest and tell her your afraid to tell her because you don't want to hurt her feelings, but yet you felt she should hear it from you ETC.. I don't know what else to say lol

thanks jamie, besides being prego i still wouldnt have gotten all drunk and dumb. im just not like that, but they are all single so that is what they do. and yes some of them really did make a fool out of themselves!! it was great fun just to watch. i guess i think i am being a good freind by telling them all my email rather then them finding out by a general facebook thing. even if they are still ****** friends, cuz really they are, ever since i got married at 20....

you are right there will be no easy way telling her, and yes they are trying for their first, she was on the pill solid for 14 years so its no wonder her body is taking a while to get back to normal. i dont agree with the pill myself its sooooo bad for your body. anyways i am hoping to get ahold of her tonight so i can let her know before i send the mass email to the others........

thanks for your input!

Yeah the pill I was on it for a year and half once I had my boys, and then I got off and it took me 2 weeks being off the pill to conceive, doctors were a little surprised due to its not common that, that happens. Mind you I won't complain, because the thought of going through months and months of trying to conceive and getting AF or those negative HP tests I think I would go insane again. That was a tough road before I got pregnant with my boys, mind you I got off the pill in march for the soul purpose of giving myself 2-3 months to regulate so we could get pregnant in June..... Well, unfortunately someone else had plans for us, but oh well.
So luckily you weren't on birth control and just got off and got pregnant right away, if I were your friend I think hearing that would irritate me and frustrate me.
I am sure she will be happy for you though, and yet inside be upset I know I would. But that is only natural.
No problem!! I know it was tough I knew a girl due the same day as me and at 12 weeks or something she miscarried the baby, and was upset. I was afraid to talk to her because I was still pregnant and she wasn't. But now she is 10 weeks pregnant again, so I hope everything goes well for her.

so i rear ended a truck during rush hour today, probably wrote off my car that we just paid off 2 weeks ago!!
i was fine right after the accident, but after walking around i got intense double over cramps,. the police women called an ambulance. spent 5 hours at the hospital.

no bleeding, but cramps are still there, everything seemed fine, however they do not do an internal exam. they are sending me for an ulrasound tomorrow. hcg came back at 69000.

That is not good, at 28 weeks I think I got into a car accident with my twins and I had to spend 4hrs in that damn hospital being hooked up to those heart machines to monitor the boys. I hated it due to I hate hospitals and my boys were moving around like crazy their heart beats were great!! But they had to make sure I guess.

Hope everything goes well.
