Baby bottles..

What brands of baby bottles are the best as far as no leaking and gas? Has anyone tried the Tommee Tippee brand products?

no but Playtex ones that you push the air out of and Dr. Browns are very good. I have really only BF but after I got divorced I did have a bottle for my little girl at 6 months when she went to see her dad 2 hours 2x a week if needed. She only took one once for a min but she never got gas. When she was older he dad gave them to her with water in it I think and she did fine. All lids you have to release the air! You screw them on then release them and tighen but not as tight. Also babies should never be feed with their bottle propped up in a seat or pillow as at certian inclines the breathing tubes are contricted and cause them the gulp more air in. If babies have trouble with gas I was told and teach as a studying LC to sit them up right strech theri neck with your hand as they lay their haed in your hand and tilt theri head back some and it helps alot. My sisters have bottlefeed and they did this and it worked for them.

They do have those bottles that are expensive that are shped like the breast but from everything I have heard they leack so I would not get them. Oh and get the slow flo nipple as the more sucking the less air they will get. So you buy a nb or 0-3 month nipple that says slow flow.

We used the Dr. Brown bottles for our son and they've been great.  I didn't know there were different size nipples until much later -but - they've been great for my family!
