The desire to eat ice is said to be associated with anemia.  Try upping your intake of iron (it's pretty easy to get anemic when pregnant) and see if the craving for ice changes.  If it doesn't, then probably you just like ice.  lol  No, it won't hurt your baby, but anemia is not good during pregnancy so try the iron and see.

Def a sign of anemia. I did it with 1 of my daughters. I was at a birthing class & my nurse noticed me chomping on ice. Went & got my blood checked & sure enough super anemic

Your doctor may just prescribe you an iron tablet and some stool softeners. It's pretty common.

Icecream.... Yummy! :)

Hey, when you get a chance, check out the breastfeeding community. I think you will find all kinds of answers there about ways to feed your baby.

(Breastfeeding helps you lose those pregnancy pounds that may be gained from icecream cravings... around 500 calories/day are burned by breastfeeding just one baby)
