Crawling baby gear

My dd is 5 months now and trying to crawl. Most of the time she can propel herself forward (like a caterpillar) off the carpet and onto the hardwood floor. Can someone suggest a fun and safe crawling baby toy/gear that would keep her on one path and is safe?

I found Baby Einstein Animal Exploration Tunnel. Anyone used it or something similar? Will it keep a baby from wondering off?
