First Baby at 36

Hi,

Just found out I'm 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and very nervous. This is my husband and I first child and we must have gotten pregnant on the honeymoon!! :) Are the labor pains really that bad?

My labor was 4 1/2 hours long and I had no pain medication because I dilated so quick. I'm like seriously a huge wimp and if I can do it anyone can. I surprised everyone. Even myself. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I will be induced on Monday and this time they and nineteen talking about a c section because he is so big. I'm nervous but I just keep reminding myself how awesome it feels the first time you see your baby. Honestly the pain you feel during labor and delivery is completely forgotten as soon as you hear your baby cry for the first time :). Good luck :D

Everyone is different. My daughters birth was the most painful experience of my life! After hours of labor I had a csection (its worth it!) My friend just had a 9 lb baby... Pushed twice! Another friend was in labor for 15 min!

When I was in labor with my daughter I thought it was easy. My period cramps hurt worse then contrantions. I had back to back contrantions and back labor. It really depends on your pain tolerance. I did it all natural and only pushed for 19 min. I hope all goes wwll for both of you and congrats.
