Lack of Lactation

by franke566, Jun 07, 2009 07:47PM
My daughter is having difficulty breast feeding her baby-isn't producing enough-her Lactation nurse told her to use a herbal remedy and that did no good-Baby gets frustrated and gives up-7 weeks old.  She is being supplemented with formula.  Any ideas? franke566

If you're still having problems, you can be prescribed reglan, which did not work for me or try an herbal remedy fenugreek. I tried both but was over stressed which I blamed for my inability to produce. Also tell your daughter to be in a calm quiet area, and breastfeed when she is not feeling stressed. It does take some getting used to, and tell her not to stress over the amount, stress can cause you to not produce.
