Cribs or play yard for my baby boy

I had both, the crib was used permanently in his room and the other could be moved from place to place.  Don't have a baby sleep all the time in a play yard, the mattresses they have are not that great.

We didn't end up using the play yard for its "play" capacity much, since he didn't like being set in it for even a few minutes.  Mostly he took a few naps in it when he was really little.

A baby sling or carrier is the best. :) Once your baby gets here it's hard to put them down. Research "attached parenting" and "baby wearing"... You might skip a big useless purchase all together.

You won't have your hands full, but hands free and still get the benefits of closeness to your baby by having a Maya Ring Sling, Moby Wrap, or baby carrier.

Please be aware that i had my daughter slept in a "pack n play" for her naps until my fiance called me horrified..He had been at work and him and the guys were listening to a radio talkshow and a distraught father called in to express his concerns that his son was horribly,tragically killed when the pack n play collapsed around his sons neck and choked him to death, who obviously woke up from his nap and was jumping/playing in the pack n play. Not trying to scare you but be aware and research the items as simply as those that you purchase as a new parent. It scared me terribly and i have had a home daycare for 12 years!
