Is it normal to be 18 wks and barely feel your baby kick?

Yes, that's normal! I'm 20 weeks and started feeling movement in week 19 but it's not kicking, it's a fluttering feeling...like your nervous or have butterflies in your stomach.

Actually, I talked to my doctor and she said it's possible to feel little jerking movements as early as 12 weeks. I started feeling them a couple days ago and I'm almost 13 weeks.

If its your first kiddo, then it is normal to not feel the baby as soon as you would if you were having your second. Most people do not feel much of anything till maybe their 5th or 6th months. I'm in week 29 of my second pregnancy and I still have days where I really do not notice him. Of course on other days he kicks so much its no wonder he decides to sleep all day sometimes! I think when I first felt him this round, granted it was not a lot and certainly not often, I was around 22 weeks. Kicking wise I mean, and it was usually when I was laying down at night to go to sleep. They seem to love letting you know they are there when you are trying to get some rest!

It is normal if its your first baby. I did not feel my baby move until I was 5 months pregnant with my first but this time I felt it at 12 weeks.
