I personally waited until I got Into my second trimester, to be on the safe side, In case I had a miscarriage (once you hit your second trimester, the risk drops dramatically) for smaller things like bottles and bibs and such. I waited until I found out the gender for the bigger things and went on a crazy shopping spree. Lol.
I heard any time. When ever u really want to. But they say that the biggest mistake moms do is buy to much mostly clothes. Which they grow out of quick and may never wear. They say 10 to 14 sleepers and 10 to 12 onies is a good amount to buy for their first weeks.
