disposing of dirty diapers

okay... so i havent heard the best stories about the diaper genies.... where can i put babies yucky diapers during the day?  we live in a house, so i dont have a dumpster that i can toss them into on a daily basis. any suggestions or products that i can use??

Per the baby bargains book, they recommened the diaper dekor.  It was great at controlling odors the book stated and it is also a step can.  Downside is you have to use specific bags for it but the bags are biodegradeable.  

i did register for this initially but I did take it off after thinking I might not need it. I was just going to get a regular step can with odor controlling garbage bags.  

However, the other night I threw out some old food from the fridge and the odor nearly gagged me a few hours later when I opened the can to take the trash out.  So, back onto the registry I went and placed the diaper dekor back on it.  

I know my sense of smell is stronger these days but DH complained too about the odor.  I think owning a dekor could be something I could live with if we find out later that its a waste.  I also registered for the bags, just to get me started.

so after reading about the diaper Dekor... i went and bought one. apparently they are awesome.... ive heard nothing but good about them. the only downfall was the price, it was $105.00 for the Dekor and a box of refills. but if its as great as the reviews, then its money well spent!!
