well i was told that you can use regular laundry soap just do a double rinse to make sure all of the residue is off of them... but i have been using Purex ultra concentrate for babies... it smells really good and was only a couple of bucks at local store so at a store like walmart it will probably be just as cheap if not cheaper... plus i use dryer sheets to keep stuff nice and soft. there are soooo many differant brands of baby laundry soap it isnt even funny, so it is pretty difficult to make a choice.. find some that you can afford, and then smell them and see what you think.

good luck

You can also use any of the "free and clear" detergents.  Tide, All, and several other brands make these.

Like kindergal said, no perfume detergents like All should work for the whole family.

I did hear some of the other girls talking and they said baby ALL is the best they were using!!

I use All Free and Clear. Never had any problems. Now that my son is 13 months I tried a walmart brand that is scented and he had no reactions to it. But since I will be having baby #2 in sept. I will be switching back to the free and clear. It's maybe a dollar more than the walmart brand I get now.

i have used anything from dollar store brands to the free and clears. nothing has ever bugged my daughter. she has no allergies or anything tho. but even so i try not to specify anything one thing to one product so much because i dont want her to develope any. i heard if you shield them from alot then they could develope them when they get older so i use all kinds of different soaps, washes, lotions, an she has been fine with it all. the free an clears do work good tho. or somethin that doesnt have such a strong scent for kids with allergies

We use the Target version of Dreft and it's just fine for our kid.

We used the krikland brand (no dyes..no prefumes) from Costco. It works well for our babies. just remember to dbl rinse..

Free and clear is just fine for your baby.  We use the All free and clear plus clear and free dryer sheets.  I have never used the double rinse for Sophia's clothes and she has not had a problem to date.
