19 yr old w/ Spondylolisthesis

I had an MRI that showed i had bilateral pars interarticularis defects with minimal grade 1 (4 mm) anterolisthesis of L5 on S1.  I later got a bone scan that showed mildly increased osteoblastic activity indentified involving the body of L2 and L4.  They also had micro fractures which are almost healed.  The fracture at L5 shows no activity which meant it wont heal and is permanetly fractured.

I'm a college wrestler and i deal with the pain but it constantly hurts me.

Will this effect me the rest of my life? How and can i fix this so i wont be in anymore pain?

Welcome to the Back and Neck Community.  The members are here to provide assistance and support to individuals experiencing symptoms related to possible abnormal conditions in the cervical and/or lumbar spine.
The advice provided is non-professional and is primarily based on personal experiences.  Please feel free to post on the Expert Forum if additional medical advice is needed and one of the medical doctors will assist as appropriate.

As a college wrestler, you have probably sustained a cumulative trauma to your spine and not necessarily one specific traumatic event.  The changes occurring through sustained fractures has caused your spinal column to slip anteriorly forward and in so doing may be pinching the exiting spinal nerve roots which would produce pain in the back and possibly extending down the leg.
Treatment of the condition itself can vary from conservative to surgical and are based on the nature and extent of the symptoms, the level of interference in normal activities and the potential outcomes.
