I am a 31 year old female who has been experiencing lower back and upper thigh pain for 2 months now.  A couple months ago I was deployed for my annual military training.  Before completing the training I had to participate in an 8k ruck march carrying 40-50lbs on my back.  Shortly after coming home, I experienced severe lower back and upper thigh pain every time I ran.  The pain was so intense that I had to take a 3 week break from my daily exercises.  The pain did go away but when I started running again, the pain came back.  I never had back pain before this so I am concerned.  Can you please give me any advice?

Thank you

You really should see a doctor, as you may have injured a disk in your lumbars. The constant loading and unloading when you run is stress alone, but when you add an additional 50 pounds, its easy to hurt yourself. See a doc though cause it could be a disc, a sprain/starin, spondylo, ect. Once you know what it is you can then treat it easier.
