ANYone please help!!!

hi, I was wondering if someone could please help me. I injured my upper left back about two months ago. I had some tingling in my fingers. It was diagnosed as an uppper thoracic strain. I have been going to physical therapy and icing my back. When I was @ work on light duty, I started to feel extreme tingling(pins and needles) on my whole left side of my body. I have been in extreme pain and very uncomfortable. Pain meds are barley touching the pain. I have been to two doctors who say the tingling has nothing to do with my back, and they told me that I just have a pulled muscle and need to "work it out" Theyt say the tingling is carpal tunnel, but I hardly use a pc and I have never had any prob before. this also doesn't explain the tingling in my back and leg and foot. I can't lift my 9 mth old daughter, I can't stand or sit for more than 15 min @ a time, I am crying when I come home from work. It is getting worse and not better. the tingling is getting worse. My pt says its in my head. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have any neck pain, do you have low back problems? Where exactly is this tingling, upper back all the way to your foot, is it all on one side? What kind of pain do you have, is it burning or stabbing or what?

I have some stiffness in the left side of my neck. I had pulled a low back muscle on the same side(left) in Feb of this year. this tingling is on my left side from the toes to the bottom of my foot, up my leg, buttocks, back, shoulder, and down my arm to the tip of my fingers. The pain is dull when I first wake up, then as the day goes on becomes burning then stabbing, then the tingling starts. Two docs have said its just a pulled mucscle, but wouldn't it be getting better with pt and exercises instead of worse? And I have had pulled muscles in the past and have never had tingling. One doc said I have carpal tunnel, but doesn't explain tingling in my toes, leg, butt, back, and shoulder.

You have tingling in your back, but your Doctor says it has nothing to do with your back, that’s original. Carpal Tunnel would not cause tingling in your back and leg. Pulled muscles can cause tingling, but I don't think they'd cause them in your hand and leg. Two months really isn’t that long, but I think you would have seen some improvement by now.

When you say you can’t lift your daughter, is that because of weakness? Where is your pain exactly when you’re having trouble standing or sitting? Tingling and pins and needles can sometimes mean a nerve problem, have you thought about seeing a Neurologist?

Don’t let it bother you if some idiotic Therapist tells you that you’re pain’s in your head, its totally inappropriate and if the Therapist thinks they can’t help you, they should just say so, so that you can find someone that will. You know your body and you know when something’s wrong.

I would just forget about these Doctors and start fresh with someone new.
