Alternate therapy

Alternate therapy

My husband had surgery for a ruptured disc (L4) six years ago.  As a result of the surgery he developed bacterial meningitis and had to go back in for surgery.  His back and shooting leg pain has come and gone over the years but now, is as severe as ever.  Needless to say, he is trying to avoid surgery at all cost.  Are there any alternate therapies you would recommend?  Inversion therapy?  Acupuncture? etc.

After operation,Your husband possibly suffer soft tissue inflammation around L4,the cause of his pain is inflammation stimulating nerves, causing the pain signal.
Can acupuncture help?
Dependent on where the inflammation is Acupuncture can help with back pain.  Acupuncture works well when the inflammation is outside of the spinal column.  Acupuncture does not work when the inflammation is in the spinal column itself.
So,It's quite importnat to get phyiscal examination first ,then make decision.
Good luck!
