Back Pain Advice Needed

Hello,

I've had back pain for the last two years thats both came and gone. It's never so painful that I cannot work or participate in activities. I mainly have some neck stiffness (especially in the morning, little clicking) with the ocassional waking up in the morning with arm or hand numbness (pins and needles) when I put pressure on it, especially when sitting down on it. Since January I also felt a little lower back pain in the lower lumbar, it feels weird when I put pressure on it, I might of injured it when lifting beer kegs. I've lost a good amount of weight of lately being from 230 down to 190. From September of last year till early January I felt great, I barely had any pain.

Now since January I've gotten some of the pain back, at first I thought it might be directed from my wisdom tooth which was in need of being removed. I was able to get it removed 3 weeks ago, I had read it causes migraines and neck pain. Though the pain has not subsided on my neck, in fact lately too when I've been working out only for a brief time I get muscle pain, almost like a cramp from only little lifting. Pain in which I never got until only a few months ago. I have no idea where this pain is coming from, and as mentioned it's not severe but enough to cause discomfort. I know I should visit a doctor but I wanted to check in to see if it could be something I workout on my own from general advice or help. Also I have a very uncomfortable bed perhaps this could be a reason for my pain too.

If anyone could give me advice or share similar stories from my symptoms it would be very helpful.

Thank You

I would go to a neurologist and get it check. You could have a problem with your disc causing the pain off and on. The numbness tingling is a big sign of this. Trust me you don't want to let this go for too long and you want to make sure your doc does a mri or ct scan. Letting this go can cause to permanent nerve damage. I started out having pain off and on and it progressively got worse over the years. Thanks to me ignoring it and when I did finally go to the doctors I was misdiagnosed I now have 78% nerve damage from my waist down. There is a chart on my profile that you should check out. It is a nerve conduction chart. It may be helpful if you have any problems in the future.  Also a good bed can go a long way to easing the pain. If you can't afford one I would recommend getting a memory foam mattress topper. I have one and I am in love with mine. I hope you are better soon and that you get a quick diagnosis that says there is nothing wrong. Best wishes.
