Back Pain after spinal tap

by heather395, Nov 05, 2009 12:29PM
I had a baby back in March by c-section. It has been 7 months and I am still having the most annoying back pain. It seems to stay around the tailbone area. I can best describe it as if feeling like my pelvic bone really needs to be put back into place. I can't sleep, I can't sit, or stand. I am finding this to be very aggrevating!

I did see a doctor about it and they thought I had a pinched ciatic nerve. She gave me a muscle relaxer and sent me on my way. This really didn't help.

Is this something that will get better in time or do I need to go back to the doctor that delivered the baby?

I know exactly how you are feeling! I had triplets on 9-14-2009 they were 10 weeks early (all doing great) but I had to get a spinal and the pain I have now is almost unbearable. I havent been to the doc yet, I thought it would be sore for awhile but hearing that you have had it for 7months has me concerned. I cant even begin to describe how bad it feels sometimes, it almost makes me double over when I bend a certain way. Ive tried to stretch, but have to be careful because of my stomach muscles, and popping my back hasnt made it any better. I do find that standing in the shower bent over with very hot water on my back while I stretch from side to side and arching helps a LITTLE, but it comes back. I was thinking about having a massage but am scared they might push too hard and really damage my spine.......I dont know what to do but I know exactly how you are feeling. Breann
