Back and leg pain

I am a Female, Indian , of 40 Years. For the past One and a half years, I have been suffering from lower back ache. I am 5'4" tall 172lbs. Since the past few months, my knees also hurt after driving. According to the Doctors, I have weak back muscles, so some excercises have been told. Since childhood, my left leg aches. Its been quite a while since i'm I'm unable to sleep because of pain in both legs. Please suggest something...

sounds like Lower Crossed Syndrome... tight hip flexors, weak mid back muscles, short/tight quadratus muscle, forward pelvis. tight hamstrings and calf muscles----- you need to see avery very good Physical therapist, and lose about 40 lbs.

HI,
Have you tried losing weight? 172 is a lot of weight to carry for your height. Are you able to walk? Have you tried the back exercises your doctor suggests? Have you had an MRI or any XRAYS? If so, what are the findings of these tests?
