Have any of you guys experienced that type of burning with very limited movements, and pain in your knees and tingling? I have gone to the doctors, had MRI's and a nerve study. They still dont have any answer for me. All I know is i got hurt doing some exercise in the military. . and they're about to kick me out.

Nerve damage/impingment seems a likely possibility. The fact that you gave no radiating pain, down the back of your leg/s only means that probably it isn't the sciatic nerve that is compromised. This is the longest nerve in the body,  but obviously not the only one.   MR Neurography imaging shows nerves and any related nerve problems, better than an MRI which will show disc prolapses etc. MRI's are more easily available but usually a paitient would have had to have suffered for at least 6 weeks before being considered (unless other 'red flag' problems were suspected) MRI technologhy can rule a few causes out too.

I have been experiencing this for the last year. The burning pain is so intense in the back area that I almost feel like I will pass out. Many trips to the ER, Drs. I have since seen a chiropractor, which I swore i would never see and he has helped. Also massage therapy, mostly deep tissue also seems to help me. I still have the burning senstation like hot fire running through me and it makes me nauseated and dizzy. When I sit incorrectly, or posture I notice it more. Also, when I have a bad episode, I have to defecate. So, I have started yoga too to keep the muscles limber, massage therapy, NSAIDS, and try to not sit as much. Alot of time on the computer also aggravates my condition. I have been told stress, IBS, sciatica, etc. So i started researching things and trying to help myself. Sometimes I can go months no problem, and then flare up for few days....It is emotionally draining and aggravating. So I know how everyone feels.

I had a fusion 8 years ago, but was in a car accident 2 months ago.
Thus far I have, for sure, 2 more herniation possibly three.  I still have to have the MRI done on my thoracic spine, because that is the worst part of my pain.
My Dr. says that I should not have the amount of pain I am having for the injury I have.
I really wonder if Dr.'s can be as lame as they sound.  These are supposed to be brilliant Dr.'s, but instead of really listening to their patients they base their study of off some kind of random study.
Every single human being is different, even our nerves can be set up slightly different, everything.  So, it is ridiculous to thing that your injury can't be causing your pain.
I am at the end of my rope with/ Dr.s.  I have a very high pain tolerance and because he says that shouldn't be that way, I must have a very low threshold of pain.
Anyway, you are doing the right thing getting an EMG.  I am waiting for mine as well.
I will keep you in my prayers,
Trish

If you feel burning and tingling and numbness it surely is your nerve. IF its pain down ur leg it could be ur nerve the pain could go allt he way down to your toes. The first step is to relax and get all the stress and depression out of your life becuase that can really trigger the pain. Then learn some excerises and have good postions when u sit and lie down. Dont stress your back. If its a buldging disc ur doctor might recommended anti inflammtory durgs which may help but pain killers are dangerous. I dont recommended surgery and if the pain forces you to rest then limit it. Start walking walking. A good excerise is to lie down and beng ur leg towards ur chest and to see if u have sciatica u can lie down and use your hands to push ur chest up but not ur waist and then see if all the pain goes to one place . try to get the pain from the farthest part of ur back to all go to one place like your thigh or buttocks. Any more questions just comment. Hope you get better. <My mom has this so i know alot about it.

Im sorry to hear that. i had those same symptoms 3 years ago, very intense burning at low back and legs. it turned out to be a herniated disc. It was 8MM which i was told is a very big herniation. Best thing to do for now is rest in bed taking pain killers and muscle relaxers if you can.  Also applying ice to the pain helped me. You'll need an MRI to see exactly what the problem is and if surgery may be needed or not. try to avoid lifting and walk as little as possible. I hope you recover soon

I am on this Forum because I'm looking for advice on the same thing. I have severe muscle spasms where my back locks up Hunched over every time I get up from Bed. It first started Each time I got up from lying down I would be in Pain unable to stand uporight. Slowly I would move until I can stand straight lasting several minutes. Now it's getting worse,, Everytime I am in Bed I get this Burning Low Back Pain. It feels like I'm carying heavy weights and there on Fire. The Pain is only on my lower Back, No radiating down my Legs Nothing. After 4 Drs. they don't know what it could be,, they sy normally laying down helps back pain,, Mine is just the opposite.. I recieved an MRI I am scheduled for Epidural Injection, but after Reading these Post it really may not help much,, The Neurologist didn't even understand because it wasn't radiating down my Leg.. I asked for a Nerve Test anyway so I am scheduled in a Few weeks. Hopefully I am one step closer to an answer.
I heard buring pain is caused by nerve damage,  but My Drs. never said it's a possibility,, So I feel Lost after 4Drs no real advice, They are puzzled.
MRI showed mod severe disc degeneration L5S1, Epidural Bulge Disc, Hemangioma,
XRAY is Normal,,, Even from MRI Results they say this shouldn't cause this type of Pain & they don't really know what it could be...

It sounds like some type of nerve damage, sometimes you can get bone spures on your back that press on nerves.  It could be just a pinched nerve also.  See your doctor and see what they think.  hope you get better.

I heard that it is possible it's nerve damage, some say that when it burns it;'s your nerves, Sometimes they can't figure it out, I will get an EMG so hopefully they can find oout if it is the nerves.

probably nerve pinch of some kind.  you need a good physical exam and an MRI for diagnosis.
