The pain in your rt upper back can be related to a variety of possible conditions including muscle spasm or referred pain from a shoulder problem.
Some upper back pain localized to the upper back around the shoulder blade area can be related to possible disc problems in the cervical spine.
It would be advisable to make an appt with your primary care doctor for a physical exam and evaluation.  Diagnostic x-rays can help determine the reason you are having this symptom.
